The ambience is very sleek and modern (great for a date night) the bar is well-stocked and there are a ton of different vegetable-centered food options that are done really well. My wife also has a gluten allergy and they went through the menu with her to discuss what options were safest for her. We’ll be back for sure.“

“It is a high end dining experience for sure. Beautiful setting. Lots of silverware and settings. Many courses. Lots of staff interaction that takes place over three hours. With all that said, only one course -- the soup -- was excellent. The other food was good, interesting, and unusual. Glad we went. For the price point, over $300 for the two of us, not in a rush to go back. I am glad to see a one star Michelin vegan restaurant in DC.“

“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

“I’ve been searching for a consistently good Indian spot that has all the essentials without being overpriced or too fancy for years and this place definitely hit all the marks. The Lamb Saag and garlic naan was so good and perfectly spicy. The mango lassi and vegetable samosas were also exactly what I needed. This will for sure be my go to Indian food spot moving forward. “Went to Kitchen +Kocktails for the first time last night. The decor was very nice, and the music was good and not obnoxious. Our server Ally was terrific! I’m not a drinker, so when I asked her if there were any cocktails that didn’t taste like alcohol, I thought she would look at me like I was crazy, but she didn’t! She seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and immediately had a couple of suggestions. I went with the mixed berry lemon drop and it was perfect for me. “My friends who live nearby rave about this place. Maintaining a top rating on Yelp and Google, I had to go. A friend and I showed up around 1:30pm on a Friday for lunch. The owner greeted us and quickly took our orders.

The Deluxe Meat Combo generously fed two men. Every dish on the injera was tasty, but our favorites were the Shewa Doro Tibs, Shewa Alicha Wot, Shewa Doro Wot, and Shewa Bozena Shiro. The portions are generous that we had to ask for more injera.

The space is no-frills, but comes with a few small tables. Street parking is nearby.“

“Me and the wife went here while on holiday in DC. We got the oysters Rockefeller, the only pasta they had, the seafood platter, and the jumbo fried asparagus. Sadly, the oysters tasted bad and cheese tasted sour. The pasta was bland kinda like chef boy-r-de. The seafood platter was also bland and overcooked, rubbery. Asparagus was good. With all this said I recommend it because maybe the food just wasn’t for us. It might fit your taste buds just not ours! We explain all this to management and they were very kind and accommodating about the situation. Service was also fantastic in all ways.“

The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“

“Naked lunch is tasty and fresh. The staff is friendly and do their best to manage the long lines. My favorites are the greek potatoes (sub olives for mushrooms!), black bean burger with a side salad, buffalo chickpea tacos, crab cake sandwich, and moler bowl (mix the original dressing with the sesame dressing and add extra mushrooms!). Sometimes, they have a daily/weekly special that highlights an off menu entree, a soup, a muffin, and a drink of some sort. Shout out to Rob! He makes the best food! Sometimes, I'll just tell him, "Make me whatever," and every time, it ends up being so good!

Recommendations: Truffle Shoyu, Triple Threat, Chicken Karage

This is probably the best ramen place I’ve been to in the U.S. The place is kind of small, but trust me the wait is worth it. They have truly incredible ramen that will make me miss them so much after I leave D.C. If you prefer lighter broth I recommend the truffle shoyu, if you prefer richer broth I recommend the triple threat. They are both so delicious. Every component of the ramen is perfect, and when they combine all you feel is happiness. The chicken karage is very good too, the portion is huge and it’s not that expensive. I’m so happy that I discovered this treasure place, and I will DEFINITELY visit again! Best food I’ve had in D.C.“
