The cinnamon bites and pretzel bites (hotdog) are my favourites. They also have pepperoni. Pair your pretzels or bites with their signature lemonade or another of their featured drinks.

“There's a reason Rose Ave usually has a line out the door. This is one of the best bakeries in DC, with a somewhat limited selection compared to other bakeries. They have one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city, egg and cheese on a garlic croissant type roll. Super rich and will definitely leave your hands covered in butter. The ube kouign amann is incredible and the donuts are both delicious and unique. They have great coffee and a small selection of cakes and slices of cake as well.“

“No other bakery like Seylou. We travel in to the city every weekend to eat here. The staff is so kind and feels like an extension of our family. They’ve taken my child behind the scenes and shown him how grains are killed and bread is baked. I could not ask for a better community and diet staple.“

“Cookies are pretty decent, but their operation is slow as heck… don’t even think about going on a Saturday or Sunday or around any holiday if you hate lines and waiting. I mean this should be a cookie factory line, what are we doing!! I guess Georgetown cupcakes and other places in Georgetown have the same problem but still... They should also make the lemon cookie a permanent cookie! Their best cookie in my opinion, but it is seasonal.“

Got one today and they were unable to slice it in store and it’s very dry and doesn’t have the usual sourdough texture. Bummer if this is indeed the new fresh baguette…“

And, I am a very picky coffee snob. Service is sometimes a little chaotic, but the staff is super friendly. Weekend mornings are insanely busy- a reflection of how good they are. I also wish the gf items would have been clearly separated like the vegan ones were. I felt like I had to struggle to find the items they had since it didn’t match the menu online. But super grateful they had something gf to offer. I’d love a gf biscuit/ scone to add to what you already offer + more macron flavors.“
