“Such a romantic restaurant! Perfect for date night. My boyfriend & I had dinner here the Monday after valentine's day as a belated valentine's dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant still had its valentine's decor in the bar entrance. So lovely! We made reservations for seats in the outdoor patio under the grapevines due to the reviews from other guests. Each table has a fire pit. And that was the major selling point for me to pick this restaurant. Great ambience for dinner. The restaurants provide blankets upon request. The seat warmers weren't working, but I still requested to sit on one rather than sit directly on the cold steel of the patio chairs. The fire did a good job of keeping me warm as it was a chilly February night.Since it was a Monday evening, there weren't many guests which was great. Nice & quiet for a romantic dinner. The service was excellent. Our waiter recommended a Greek wine which both my boyfriend & I really enjoyed. The cuisine is Greek Mediterranean. The dishes were unique, creative, & had great presentation. Everything was delicious from start to finish. It's family style so all dishes from appetizers to entrees to dessert are shared. We enjoyed the experience & left full but not overly stuffed, which is always a plus. The citrus salad & housemade focaccio bread were particular delectable.Highly recommend!! We'll be back for sure.“
“I stumbled upon Tail Up Goat while wandering the streets, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be. Walking in for dinner at the bar, I was immediately impressed by the flawless service. The staff struck a perfect balance between professional hospitality and genuine human connection, making my dining experience truly enjoyable.Unlike some other restaurants where servers bombard you with uppity culinary jargon and $2 words they learned in a staff meeting, Tail Up Goat provided a refreshingly authentic experience. The food overall was excellent, with only one minor hiccup. The pork tenderloin, while flavorful, was a tad dry, possibly sliced too soon. However, even my "least favorite" dish was still enjoyable.Unfortunately, my experience was slightly marred by a small issue. I was offered a glass of bubbles, which I assumed was complimentary but was later charged for. It left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively speaking, but thankfully didn't completely sour my overall experience. It's entirely possible it was just a misunderstanding on my part that I should have clarified.Despite this minor blip, I would still highly recommend Tail Up Goat for its warm atmosphere, impeccable service, and delicious food. It's definitely worth a visit.“
“We came here for friend’s birthday and although imperfecto doesn’t scream birthday vibes the restaurant absolutely delivered. Food was immaculate- the drinks were delicious and the service was great. It was peak brunch time so the restaurant was super busy - but the staff was very timely and attentive.Onto the drinks, we had a variety of drinks, a crowd favorite was (classic) the espresso martinis. Some food highlights include the wagyu burger, the avocado toast was supreme, mussels, chicken and waffles and the pancakes.Be sure to specify if you are celebrating an event as the staff will be sure to make it special.“
“This place is a hidden gem in the Rockville area. All Mana’esh and pizza heaven. On top on that the service is very nice and they are very generous. I ordered zataar and hot halabi sausage and laham b-agen and owner got us another lebneh as a gift. Definitely coming back??“
“This is a gem of a spot in Cleveland Park! I discovered it one day and now I’m a regular and have started bringing my friends. Who all have said they wanna come back. The restaurant is small, but intimate and the food is amazing. The Scallops are a must try. Every time I’ve gone and sat at the bar and have always had an amazing experience. Kyle & Victor are so knowledgeable on their wines and just make the experience 10x better. The playful pairings on the menu are also another highlight and a lot of fun. Definitely a spot worth checking out!“
“Food was delicious! Atmosphere and location as well. Our server Thelma R was amazing and catered to all our needs. She even gave us tea on the house because one dish was a bit late (which was understandable because it was a bit busy today). Also, We noticed that she was attending many other table’s needs as well, not just us, which was amazing!. Will definitely come again! Thelma definitely needs a raise! We hope to eat at agora and be served by Thelma again!“
“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“
“Went for my daughter's birthday.Food was above average, the star i took away was due to kebab being burnt from one side ,but the rest tasted great .The ribs, adana and everything we ordered tasted like authentic turkish food. There was one man on the floor who was running like a headless chicken but was serving 6 tables. The place was jam packed and a bit noisy for us, therefore, took a star away. The manager was great because he catered my request.Overall a good experience.RecommenedParking: Parking lot right next to the restaurant. We paid $13 for 2 hours on Saturday. It was not charging hourly but for just parking so flat rate“
“Love the bottomless brunch - lots of delicious small plates (small portions, order multiple if very hungry), great service, nice atmosphere, and lots of vegetarian options. Got the olives, bread, hummus, baba ganoush, brussel sprouts, red lentil soup, a spinach eggs Benedict, potatoes, french toast, and more - Can't wait to go back!“
“The food is light and refreshing. The price is extremely fair. Its great to eat right as it comes out and it also saves pretty well. The servers are kind--they'll even bring out the food to your car just to make things easier. The vibe is chill. This is a nice, local place that I will definitely be going to again.“
“The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious. If you are looking for authentic tasting Israeli food than go here!Kid-friendliness: Owner and staff was very nice. Showed the kids a few cute magic tricks. Even I was wondering how they were done! We will definitely be going again! BEST SHAWARMA IN MARYLAND!!“
“With so many options to choose from, I had to get the chef's platter to try it all! Everything was delicious. I could make a meal out of the bread and hommus! My only disappointment was that they only had 1 of the 3 Lebanese beers listed on the menu.“
“This is my new favorite restaurant. No matter where you’re from, the food here tastes like home and the cozy neighborhood vibe and friendly, attentive service only add to it. I stumbled across Balangay at the brunching hour on a lazy winter weekend and I never wanted to leave! Best meal I had out in all of 2023. Come and support Chef Wing and the team in 2024; you won’t be disappointed!“
“We had no idea this gem existed in Wheaton. A must try for anyone looking for quality food and excellent service. My wife loved her steak and my stuffed shrimp with pasta was awesome. Sorry the photos show half eaten food. It looked so good that I forgot to take pictures before we started eating!“
“Good food and nice people. The food was so juicy and flavorful, I got the lamb gyro. Best gyro of my life. I also got the hummus and it added so much dimension! The people were very polite and engaging and friendly. My new favorite lunch spot. Parking was a little hard to find for me, but I just don’t know the area.“
“I went to try this place because of a friend of my girlfriend's was working. I came around lunchtime and got the MORNING AFTER BURGER as well as the SCHNITZEL BODEGA BREAKFAST SANDWICH. Both were satisfactory and gave me a good boost for the rest of the day. I am not going to mention how good or bad the service was due to the fact that we had a friend serving us, but in our case, we had excellent service. CR NoMa is a cute place to get a bite to eat if you are in the area and are looking for the quintessential neighborhood restaurant. A place without pretense, locally owned by people who know and appreciate the neighborhood and the people who live and work there.“
“Nostos is easily the finest Greek restaurant anywhere within driving distance of Washington, DC. And likely one of the best in the Northeast USA. This is due in large measure to the fact that owner, Peter, is onsite virtually anytime the doors are open.We have been dining here since they opened. And we have not yet had a poor - or even mediocre - dish. This is our Go-To restaurant for Date Night, for our Real Estate strategy meetings, and to take clients out.The staff has been with Peter for many, many years. They know the menu. And they know their clients.Take it from a Greek-American: we are incredibly fortunate to have a Greek restaurant of this caliber in the DC Metro area!“
“My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. We did not have a reservation but we were greeted very warmly and seated right away. The restaurant is small and quaint but it's beautifully decorated. It was the manager's first day there. I forgot his name but he was very sweet and hospitable. Our server Oscar was also very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The food was delicious. Make sure you try the hibiscus lemonade. The sampler spread with the pita bread is delicious. We also ordered some lamb and the branzino which was also delicious. They kept our glass for water fulll. They kept the bread flowing. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend. They even gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco to toast for our anniversary. We will definitely be back and bringing friends.“
“All of our appetizers and our two pizzas was a real food experience. The creations and presentation were outstanding. We had a large variety and each dish was amazing . The pistachio baklava cheesecake was over the top. Staff very friendly too❤️“
“It's a really comfortable, quiet place, the photo below makes it seem bright, but that's just because my phone adjusted the brightness according to my camera. There was a huge choice of items on the menu including vegetarian, lamb, chicken, beef, and fish. There was a full set of appetizers, desserts, wine and beer. I had chicken in mushroom sauce with rice pilaf, it came with a salad. It was a lot of food for one person to eat, and it was delicious.“
“Great Dining experience. Food was pure luxury on a plate, any choice on the menu will be the right one. We were in a large group so I had the chance to try a variety, and the deliciousness was consistant. Service was 5 stars, Sofiane was an awesome host!“
“If I lived nearby I would be tempted to selfishly hoard this tiny gem for myself, but given that I don't visit often, I'll share the love:I stumbled upon Nido while looking to kill some time between two sets of plans in the area and am SO glad I did! Thea was such a delight, the products were well curated, and the recommendations were super thoughtful. The "half pours" of wine, the Basque cheesecake, the goodies to go... what was intended as a pit stop became the highlight of my day.Thank you Thea!“
“They offer various kinds of kabobs. We tried Qabili pallow, a traditional Afghan dish, and beef Sambosa. The ghabili came with shank and tasted good but was too oily. The Sambosa was okay in flavor. The food quality was okay, but overall, it was too oily. I wish they'd make it less greasy.“
“My wife and I were stuck in Washington, DC because of a weather related airplane cancellation. Since it was Christmas Day, our options for dinner were limited. We were very pleased to have chosen the Ottoman taverna. The food was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a dining experience in Washington, DC. While it is certainly not cheap, it is not terribly expensive either. The food was unbelievably delicious. Oddly, our Lyft driver who delivered us to the door happened to be Turkish and was telling us how great the place was as we arrived.“
“The food was really good - couldn’t be faulted! Service was excellent too.My only gripe was the amount of single use plastic items in the cafe. Everything from the plate to the cup to the cutlery was disposable. We need to do better by our planet.“
“Wow just wow!!! Pita on the Plaza is truly a gem!! Norma, the woman handling orders is such a sweet woman! You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers experience eating there. NOW THE FOOD. The chicken pita they’ve got (Old Gtown Wrap I believe) is INSANELY DELICIOUS. I really haven’t had a chicken pita that good in a very long time. Everything from the seasoning on the chicken to the choices in sauces was on point! The falafel was fresh and delicious. The Pita is soft and has a really nice flavor as well. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else they’ve got to offer!! (If you like spicy foods, ask for some of the creamy harissa dip!!!!) Thank you again to Norma and the rest of the Pita on the Plaza team for a memorable experience!“
“Stopped here for lunch and I was very delighted with the taste and quality of the item I ordered.Everything was fresh and made with simple ingredients. I ordered soup and a leek & rice salad. Both items were delicious. The dining hall that Green Almond Pantry is located in can get busy during lunch, so heading there just before 12:30pm or after 1:30pm seemed to avoid the crowds.“
“Opened the shop 10 minutes after closing to make me a chicken shawarma to go on New Year’s Eve. Staff are always kind. Food is quick, generously-portioned, affordable, and delicious. I like having the option to eat outside when the weather is nice. A Cleveland Park gem for sure!“
“I took off one star because of the price. I had a single bacon cheeseburger, the onion rings and fries combo and a mango shake. The bill came to $28.xx. The onion rings and fries were good and the portion was very generous - enough for 2 or possibly 3. The service was fast and friendly.“
“I don't remember how I found this place online, but am so glad. You'll feel like you're on a treasure hunt and maybe in the wrong building, but go to the G (=LL) floor via the elevators and it's there. Simple decor and the owner is really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - I am vegan and he had no problem using tahini instead of tzaziki in my falafel sandwich, which was one of the best I've had! The prices were extremely reasonable and I am just sad it's so hidden away that people won't just run across it without knowing about it. The food was obviously prepared with care. Worth a visit - I plan on returning!“
“The food and service are good, but this venue is always uncomfortably loud. I cannot take any friends or family who have low hearing because we can hear one another. Too loud does not necessarily signal an "energetic" space. It signals design flaws and/or (hopefully) unintentional ageism/ableism.“
“This restaurant is a favorite for my wife and I to dine. It is an Armenian Mediterranean restaurant. The hummus is creamy and delectable. The kebab platters are savory and well prepared. Highly recommend Sasuns Cafe. You will not be disappointed.“
“Enjoyed sharing many of the tapas style items on the menu with our team after a long day on the convention floor. The Duck was so good I'm still thinking about it two days later. The baklava and ice cream skillet that finished our meal was the best tasting version I've ever had.“
“The food is always good, but every time we visit, it seems like the side salads like the coleslaw and cucumber salads are not fresh enough and way too cold, like they made it the previous day and kept it in the fridge. Those salads are not supposed to be kept ready in the fridge, and I wish they would do those fresh, as any other restaurant at that level.Other than that, the food is great!“
“The food and service at this place is always awesome. Especially the gentleman who runs the front of the house. His name is Marvin, and he's the nicest guy you could ever meet. If you want good food, pretty quickly, and like people in general, this is a great place to get it. I've become a regular customer and I love this place.“
“We have been coming here for a couple of years now and EVERY time it has been a very pleasant experience. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is amazing. BEST gyro meat I’ve ever had. The hummus is good and I like the fries but the real show stopper is the meat. I mean, my mouth is watering while I write this review…“
“Amani, the most gracious hostess greeted with the most enormous smile one can get just before mind blowing ambiance experience at this magical place. The owner of this place is going to get so much business just because of her amazingly genuine welcome to Villa Yaara by the hostess Amani. I’m sure the food and the service will be at par as well so that we could rate it five star as well.Parking: Metered Parking.“
“Honestly, this is some of the best Persian food I've had in an upscale restaurant. I've had a ton in LA and Dubai. Each dish is thoughtful and incredibly well seasoned. They are true to traditional preparations, with an elegant flare in presentation. The one big minus was the service. The gentleman was kind and knowledgeable, but they forgot an appetizer, and food came out rather slowly. It wasn't too busy either. This rating could easily been a 5 star, with better service.“
“Thoroughly enjoyed my 1st visit & you will too! My family was seated quickly on a Monday evening. There's something on the menu for everyone! Portions large enough to share or may require to-go boxes. Flavorful pastas. Deeelightful steak & asparagus salad. Outstanding service & lively ambiance with books at the entrance & artwork throughout. Will stop in EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm in DC! 1000%.“
“I ordered catering from Big Greek Cafe for my son’s baptism. The food was amazing, and my family and friends could not stop complimenting the spread. Everyone went back for multiple plates; huge portions and lots of leftovers. Petros and his staff were such a pleasure to work with. Fresh food and quality customer service!“
“OpenTable allowed me to select the outside patio but upon arrival I was told the section was closed. As a person who has worked in front and back of the house and management positions in restaurants and within the software industry, this seemed to be an area of miscommunication between the software and the establishment. This was the only part of the experience I found lacking. The host team was thrown off but were at least open to asking a server if they would take me outside, though they weren't sure about the heat lamp - something else I made a notation about in my reservation, leading me to believe the restaurant does not actually review the OpenTable reservations ahead of time. I'm recovering from a head injury and have sensory processing issues so it can negatively affect my health if I'm thrust into a loud enclosed environment for an extended period of time. I asked the hosts if they could find a quieter booth for me and they perked up. The person who pours the water and busses the tables was well trained, courteous and warm. The server, Deshawn, made up for my irritation with the seating. He was timely, professional and put me at ease. The food was delectable and the drinks well balanced between bubbly and fruit juice. I would go back for the food but would call ahead versus using open table again. As someone who has been on both sides, it is extremely important when establishments use software to make sure it is being monitored properly. If the outside section was going to be closed, especially because I was a guest at the hotel, that could easily have been communicated to me.“
“Solid Vienna takeout. Supports local causes. Wish they were open a little later. Staff is always very friendly and dine in customer are well taken care of. Menu is huge and never had anything I wouldn't order again. Rotisserie chicken is the best in Vienna. Always hot and juicy.“
“It's always a welcome treat to indulge a bit on dinner with loved ones, even more so when your hosts put that extra effort into the experience. Such was our experience last night at Tavira—a wonderful evening, top to bottom. You'll learn a bit about Iberia's take on seafood (try the bacalhau jardinheira). Take their word on a good wine pairing, and try the 'pastéis de nata' for dessert to top off your meal!“
“Went for an early dinner and everything was great!! Superbly cooked from those awesome Hush Puppies to the amazing French Toast dessert! Oh and yes we had chicken souvlaki and meatballs in between. It's a gem of a small restaurant right in the Shady Grove campus vicinity. Highly recommend!!“
“This is my favorite Cava I have ever been too. The service is always fantastic and super friendly. Me and my coworkers go to this cava designation multiple times a week during our lunch break and never have an issue with the food or service. Thank you cava team!!“
“We are locals that stopped by for winter restaurant week. We were very pleased as they had one of the best preset menus and are open 3 hours after most other restaurants. Great food, amazing service, lovely atmosphere (I'm personally not info the modern feminist vibe, but appreciated the unique art, comfortable chairs, and calm lighting nonetheless, the esthetic was chill and intimate in the lounge area– (lots of instances like RGB okay, cool, but where's Sandra Day O'Connor? Fun idea, but it could have been more creatively executed). Matthew and Dinesh provided absolutely stellar service! We almost didn't stop by due to the restaurant being in a hotel and the low-ish rating, but honestly was so beyond impressed by the quality of service and again, the great prices compared to other similar options within this area. Plus, daily happy hour. There are so many great offers here and reasons to come out. We look forward to taking a staycation here with friends this summer to enjoy the roof and pool. Thanks for making our little night out to celebrate our anniversary, so extra special! ♥️??⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Dietary restrictions: Staff was informed and attentive to any concernsParking: Limited but available during off hours, metered parking on streetWheelchair accessibility: Accessible at ground level“
“Nov 16, 2023Today in the midst of the lunch hour rush Carlos helped us with a complicated order and was very attentive as was his wonderful staff. If you’ve not tried Cava yet, run and do not walk to this Vienna location on Maple Ave!Parking: In mid- November, they still have some outdoor seating!“
“Tasty food with excellent vegetarian options. Choose your options (conveniently displayed and explained by helpful staff) and enjoy. Really really good.Vegetarian options: Eggplant, falafel, hummus, cheese, grains, salad. Ask the helpful staff for recommendations.“
“Ordered takeout from Trattoria... so good!! The food was still hot when we got it delivered(Doordash), fresh & delicious! Will definitely go in person soon.Vegetarian options: *Also recommended the Frutti Di Mare, Eggplant Parm and Lamb Chops :)“
“Parking: Julii is within the Pike & Rose outdoor mall complex in North Bethesda (Rockville). Most of the parking is in one of the paid parking garages that are part of the Pike & Rose complex (first 2 hours free). There is one small surface parking lot that is diagonally across from Julii, which quickly fills up. On Saturdays, this small lot is taken over by the farmers' market that runs April - December thus, if you're coming for brunch on Saturdays, you'll have to choose one of the parking garages. This is a seasonal French bistro with a Mediterranean twist (steak fries and lamb tagine are on the menu). Service is consistently attentive for the small space which fills up quickly - there are outdoor dining pods (pandemic era holdover) for larger groups during winter and inclement weather. Inside the largest group table seats 6 at one very "cozy" table. This is really a place for singles to four tops.“
