“This ramen shop is really excellent. The noodles are made in house and fresh. The broth is really well made as well and has excellent flavor.I had the takoyaki as an appetizer and felt it was a little strange that it had egg salad as a base. I still felt that the dish was really good.I asked for no spicy sauce in my dish and they were able to accommodate.I would say that my only complaint was that it was loud and had fairly loud music. But I feel that I'm also just more sensitive to loud environments.Overall the Ramen is great and I highly recommend going here for some really fresh and nice ramen.Dietary restrictions: They asked about any dietary restrictions.“

“I came here around 9 pm on a weekday night because I was starving and craving some Japanese food. This place is technically located inside Kusshi Sushi, so you would just be seated regularly there and can order food off their menu. For Donburi Dojo and Ramen House, the food items are listed on the Silver Spring online menu (but you can still order them here at the Bethesda location!). I ordered a pork katsu don. It blew me away with how good it was and totally surpassed my expectations. All of the katsu pieces were cooked well and mixed great with the egg and onions. The sauce was my favorite part because of how flavorful it was, ultimately creating a slightly sweet dish that completely hit the spot for me. It's easily the best katsu don that I've had in the DMV area!“

“Everything at Menya is completely mind-blowing and it's the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. It's a little hard to visit here especially with their hours but every time I can make the trip over to DC I always make an effort to come here. Their food stays consistent and service is incredible. It's amazing to watch how in synch the entire team is and they have an open kitchen where you can watch the staff make the endless bowls of ramen! The karaage is a MUST-TRY it's so incredibly crispy on the outside but perfectly juicy on the inside. It's also paired with a yuzu dipping sauce and it brings the chicken to a whole other level, 10/10. My favorite ramen is the Spicy Tonkotsu because it includes a house made chili spice that really brings a nice kick to their traditional Tonkotsu broth. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu because each type of ramen is so incredible in its depth of flavor.“

“My friend took me to this fabulous spot for my birthday. We received incredible service from the staff and Carlos, our bartender, was especially fantastic and kind. Of all the restaurants we tried this weekend, this was the best service we received. Oh! And, the food was awesome, too. We shared spicy chicken ramen, a poke bowl and some pork gyozo. All perfectly paired with a Sapporo draft. I will definitely return as soon as I’m back in DC!“

“This is a chain ramen establishment which I found to be a fine place for a warm bowl of Japan. There is some depth with their broth and it's pleasing. Not sure I'll come back with the area yielding in my opinion better options. The servers are great with being super friendly. “It was our first time here, and we really enjoyed the food! We had the spicy miso based ramen with chicken katsu, the volcano base ramen with bulgogi, the chicken katsu curry rice and a Phoenix Special Roll. From the side salad & miso to the size & freshness of the roll (could've been spicier;)) and the simplicity of the soup bases and even the curry-- everything was delicious! Even my picky husband said it's some place he'd come back to;)“

“Finally a really standout great place to eat in the DMV. This ramen was spectacular & the service was above and beyond. You can tell how much they care about the craft here. We just recently moved to NOVA and haven't found a place we want to eat at again...until now. I had the spicy miso ramen and I thought the spice level was just perfect. I practically drank the broth clean out of the bowl. The bathroom is also the coolest little bathroom I've ever been in. The server & chef came several times to check on us and even offered some samples of new items they're going to release soon. It made our visit very special.“

“I’ve dined here a couple times now. The music and the employees’ personalities bring a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Food comes out hot and the wontons are sooo good. “Revisited for Jiro Ramen.I increased the rating one star. They did good job of making Jiro ramen. The taste was good and it is good to enjoy Jiro ramen here in this area. Very rare opportunity.However, I ordered Mt. Fuji Jiro which costs about 10 dollars more than the normal Jiro, and I was expecting that Mt. Fuji Jiro would be equivalent to Jiro with 'Mashi Mashi' vegetables etc. however, Mt. Fuji Jiro's portion was quite disappointing. It would have been better ordering the normal Jiro with adding some toppings like bean sprouts etc. It's way pricy than Yume Wo Katare in Boston. Considering all these, yes I increased one star rating but it would not be enough to give 5-star. I wish they will offer another Jiro days and bring true Jiro spirit here (Jirorians (Jiro enthusiast) love and enjoy 'Mashi Mashi' portion)***********************************It is ok taste, not very bad. This shop does not have a parking so you should park at a parking lot nearby. The service was ok. It is a bit pricy but understandable because of its location.It says a real Japanese ramen which probably true, but I, born and raised in Japan, have never heard Zao ramen when I lived in Japan. I looked it up on google and it looks like Zao ramen (蔵王ラーメン) in Japan is not that popular (the rating is like 3 out of 5) and I totally agree with the rating (I do not know if this Zao in Bethesda is related to Zao ramen in Japan though).“

“Having lived in Japan for several years, it is difficult to find a place that possesses the traditional qualities and aesthetic as an authentic Ramen shop. After eating at Oishii, we felt transported to both Japan and Thailand, as the Khao Soi (northern Thailand) and pork Ramen (Japan) bowls, were of the utmost authenticity and the environment had that Asian ramen shop quality feel. If you truly want Ramen in its most traditional sense or any other Asian dish that focuses on Ramen, this is the place to go to.“

“Good prices, good food, and wonderful service!We went here since it was conveniently right next door to a concert at the 9:30 club. But it is definitely one of my favorite places in the DC area now!Prices were extremely reasonable for the DC area, it ended up being ~$25 per person with a happy hour drink AND a desert per person with the ramen. Everything was amazing, the drinks were excellent, if a little dangerous. The ramen was, of course, amazing, 100% get the spice/veg bomb, one is enough for ~2 people and it adds a perfectly spicy touch. The deserts were also perfect, their new fried dessert bao was super unique and I'd go back for that on its own.The service was super nice and knowledgeable and really added to the whole meal (Thank you Eden).“

“After moving back to the states, from a 3 year trip to Japan, we were searching up and down to find the "just right" Ramen place. Santouka's noodles are made just right. They have strength in them but tender to bite through, and so many kinds of broth to try! But the absolute star of them show is their Chashu Pork, Put it in your broth for a few minutes and it becomes fall apart tender and melty. Absolute perfection. Be sure to get the Taiyaki on your way out!“
