“Today I delivered a refrigerator to this restaurant, the staff was very pleasant and friendly, when I was finished with my delivery Sateeb offered me lunch. I haven’t had Indian food before so I was a little reluctant to try. I’m glad I did. I had the chicken lollipop, the flavor was unmatched, totally taken by surprise. He then offered chicken biryani, this is a traditional dish, it was amazing. All the sauces were good. 10/10 I would recommend and definitely will be going again“
“Very sweet, loving, down to Earth owners and staff.Loved the vibe of the Restaurant (felt like we reached an Indian shop). Fresh food, great tea. Loved the Vada Pav, A must try. The Gobhi Parantha and Aloo Tikki was okayish. There are so many sweets too, which they prepare at the place. “Awesome food and great service. It took a while for us to get the food but the chef did an amazing job. Very fresh chili garlic naan and the lamb vindaloo was sweet and savory without being too spicy. The chef even personally packed our leftovers for us in those takeout boxes.On the menu, they have many vegetarian and vegan options too.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options on the menuParking: Free parking lot and there's parking enforcement (toll truck would come around and ask for people's cars)“

“We had a delicious meal of Aloo Paratha which was fresh off the grill and so good dipped in the sauce. We also really enjoyed the Lamb Kathi roll which was a little spicy for the kids but I thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely return for yummy authentic Indian food.“

“5 Tried this Bangladeshi restaurant near Silver Spring called Maurya Kebabs and Curries....its a hole in the wall kinda place, nothing fancy but good food. Tried their lunch buffet.....had goat curry, cabbage curry, butter chicken along with Naan and pulao rice.....loved it. Definitely try them out. Shibani manages the front along and Desmond cooks up the delicacies“
“The food was delicious, the timing of the food was good. The service was awesome. I wish the portions were bigger enough to take home, but this is Rockville and inflation going on. The vibes were well, mediocre. I just used to ordering biryani and getting like a box full. Maybe it's just depends on the location. Maybe I will try carry out once and check out the portions then. The Chicken Biryani. The portion for a Biryani is usually bigger. Those crunchy onions were a hit or miss. Raisins and nuts were unnecessary. Chicken, I prefer authentic and bone-in. Very small portion with small chicken pieces. The flavor was delicious so I commend them for that. I would've preffered the Indian salad.“
“Favorite Indian restaurant in the Silver Spring area. My husband loves the chicken korma and I the navaratna korma and bhindi bhaji. But really, we've never had a dish here we didn't like. When my mother-in-law was visiting us, she made us come here just for the chai, it's so lovely. And we always get the garlic naan and onion kulcha. Unexpected culinary gem in a strip mall.“
“I am giving the ratings based on Quality of Food, Flavor , Pricing for the items that it is known for.Yes, it is NOt upscale, yes, it is NOT fancy or high end Indian. But,For the 20 yrs I have known this place,- the Somasa Quality is the same. The snacks, nann, Lassi is the same.Quality and Flavourful Indian Food for very Cheap. Probably, the CHEAPEST in America.There is also a Brick Oven Pizza called IL - Ferno in the same place. That has amazing quality.Congrats for Decades of working and All the Best.“

“First time trying out Mint and it was good. The chicken tikka masala was very uniquely spiced and was quite good. The stuffed naan was also very good. The service was a bit absent, and being the only table in the place for most of our meal is more of an attention issue than staff or too many patrons. I would try it again for sure but absolutely have other Indian restaurants in the area that are my go to before this one.“

“Good affordable Indian and Pakistani food. Portions were were great and allow you to add different types of other Indian dishes as a side for only an extra $1 or $2. Really good deal honestly.The food is good and above average but don’t expect too out of this world. One of the kabobs felt a little burned and the garlic naan could use a little more garlic.The lamb biryani was probably one of my favorites and it was a huge portion.Will be back for quick affordable Indian food.“

“The food was delicious but a couple of things:1. It was a damp, rainy night. The temp inside the restaurant was 61F. We were cold. Even though the food came out hot, the utensils and plates were cold. Our hands got chilly while waiting so we asked for tea. Since we had asked for the thermostat to be raised (but it couldn't be for some odd reason), I thought the tea might have been provided complementary. No. $5 for two. We ate with our winter jackets on like the other guests that night. 1 star for atmosphere.2. Most of their meat dishes are marinated in milk. For the lactose intolerant, there are only 4 or 5 dishes that are vegan - the closest you can get to no milk. These are not indicated on the menu so you have to ask.Like I said, the food was excellent, 4 stars. I loved the chicken korma and daal tarka. My wife thought the alu gobi was a bit too spicy/hot for her liking, but she really likes mild. I didn't mind. But I'd have to recommend you call and ask what the inside temperature is before dining in. Lots of folks were picking up to go, so they could just leave their jackets on too!“
