“I have eaten here thrice before. with my colleagues. I ordered the basil fried rice with vegetable and chicken. It was bursting with fresh flavors and wonderfully intense spiciness. Everything is so clean, and the staff is friendly and efficient! We were the last ones to leave and never felt rushed or like we were being a nuisance to the staff. I had a third, wonderful experience and i highly recommend it!“

“A great new restaurant in Rockville serving delicious Laotian and Southeast Asian food. We ordered the Bermuda triangle appetizer which was a large portion of crispy spring rolls. For dinner, we had a the Vientiane beef jerky, beef Panang curry, and the dancing pork belly with Chinese broccoli. All the dishes were so flavorful, but the curry and pork belly were exceptionally good. Portions were large and service was quick and attentive. Their menu is very large so we look forward to being able to try more dishes our next time.“

I called the restaurant, and they apologized and then drove half an hour in a thunderstorm to deliver the rice to us. The food was amazing, and the service was perfection. “The food was hot and delicious. I had the steamed veggies and the blacken chicken. The food price was reasonable (7.75). Drinks are a bit pricy but its located in a food court so you can find a beverage at close location for $1. And the only (oh really) factor was when I got my receipt they had charged (without notice) .05 for the bag the put the food in as take out "at a carry out restaurant". I was in the area for 4 hours my next meal did not charge me for the receptacles the supplied me with.“

“This is a convenient spot for Thai takeout. We generally like the food, but it’s VERY inconsistent. The pad Thai is ok, but sometimes incredibly sweet. I wouldn’t say that this tastes like authentic Thai food (we’ve been all over Thailand), but it’s good in a pinch. Never dined in since the dining room is a bit odd.“

“I have nothing but good things to say about Gourmet Asian Bistro (7224 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). It offers Chinese, Thai, and sushi. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and it's been excellent every time and affordable! The vegetable tofu soup ($2.95) is huge, satisfying, and full of veggies. The wonton soup ($2.95) has 3 good sized wontons. Both soups come with a bowl of tastier-than-average fried wonton strips on the side that I end up munching on during the entire meal. The sizzling black pepper beef ($16.95?) was tasty, but I was more impressed by the noodle dishes. The beef chow fun ($14.95?) and the Singapore mei fun ($13.95) were beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've also gotten the salmon nigiri ($5.95?) a couple times, and it's generously portioned and fresh with great quality salmon. Every meal ends with a complimentary tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream and fortune cookie. There are plenty of good Chinese restaurants in MoCo, but Gourmet Asian Bistro is my current favorite for best flavor and value.“
