“I've never been in the actual bar Part but if I have to go to a liquor store in the neighborhood it is by far the best one. Good selection, reasonable prices, tend to keep a lot of the riff Raff and beggars from hanging out. The owners and people that work there are very nice also. There's at least 12 liquor stores right here within walking distance and if they're open they're the ones that I spend my money with. Even late at night I feel safe going to the ATM here.“

“I just hosted my husband’s 40th birthday here and the experience from start to finish was EXCELLENT! Candice was great to work with, designing a buffet menu and a space arrangement that worked with my party theme (murder mystery party for ~35 guests). We had the whole top floor and the vibes were immaculate and they set up the room exactly to my specifications and even made a couple changes on the fly (thank you!). I heard from so many people how great the food was — personally I LOVED the meatballs and the okra. Guests loved the wings, mac n cheese, channa masala, and sausage & rice especially. We had good drinks, friendly service, and an altogether wonderful time. Thanks so much to the Old Major team for making the evening perfect!“

“The owner tries hard to maintain a certain vibe at this place. He made it clear to me one day that johnnies is not a party spot. You go there for the stiff drinks. It has a small group of regulars and if you know who I'm referring to then you're probably one of them. But outside of them most people just keep to themselves. Like I said though, you go for the drinks and they're cheap & strong ( I've never had their food) .“

“I love this place! I go almost every weekend. I love that they sell breakfast all day and they have an extensive menu. The service is quick and friendly and I enjoy singing along to the feel good background music they play at just the right volume.
The atmosphere is very laid back and perfect for lingering over a meal. I also enjoy exploring all the specialty items and drinks they have for sale. I normally have the western omelet platter add spinache or the meat lovers omelette add spinach and get a deli item to go. Whether I'm having a Reuben and fries, something from the salad ba, or the usual omelette platter, I've never had anything I didn't like. They never disappoint and they treat you like family and that's why they have become my "weekend spot". They have earned my business!“

“It was my BFF and I first time there. We had Kim as our bartender and could not have had a better one. She was very attentive, served our food hot and prepared a pretty nice drink. When my friend and I chose this restaurant we knew absolutely nothing about it. We were looking for a restaurant that was close to where my parents live and the description of the type of restaurant it was and the type of food they serve appealed to us. It was only afterward when I told my mother where we had eaten that I found out this is considered one of the best restaurants in the area.

I will be honest that my friend and I were not expecting the prices but that's on us for not taking pricing into account in our Google search but let me just say that the meal and our experience were worth every penny.
