“My boyfriend came in and got himself a vanilla coffee. And a few hours later I came back because they had so many vegetarian options. I asked the man behind the counter his favorite between the Southwest veggie wrap and the buffalo cauliflower and he suggested cauliflower. I don’t eat tomatoes (i know, my cross to bear) so it was just lettuce and cauliflower. But it was delicious! The cauliflower was cooked to perfection. Wished there was a little less sauce, only because of not having more ingredients (a personal preference). But otherwise 10/10. Food was quick. Would recommend for a quick affordable meal while shopping.“

“We order two of the burger combos; a double cheese and a halal bacon cheese. Both were quite quite good and the portion size was more than adequate. My double cheese was hefty even and the fries were done nicely - a simple thing often done poorly.

We ordered though the restaurants website and the price was 13.50 each plus tax and tip. They also seem to have a rewards program.

The downside was that the order was delivered by Uber Eats and while the delivery driver was prompt I am not a fan of Uber Eats due to their inflated surcharges. Unfortunately, all the delivery services are have inflated surcharges while passing little into the drivers.

Overall we quite liked it and I plan on trying their gyros and rice platters in the near future.“

“Just flew in on a redeye and got take-out here. It’s literally 1:30, and really no other places are open. Huge shout out to the dishes. “Some of the best halal I've ever had. I've been coming here for over a decade. The owner is an incredibly kind man, the food is delicious, and the price is unbeatable. Highly recommend. In case it's not obvious, this is a food cart, so there's no seating. That's not a negative, just something to keep in mind if you're coming for the first time.“

“I came to Arlington for a business trip from Atlanta. I've been to the Ballston Food Court several times since I visit frequently. First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“
