“Food was really good and the staff were very friendly. Curries were very good! My dad went three times last year and then returned twice this summer as he loved it so much.
Curry spice is done as as you like it.
Meals are very filling and worth the money.
Convenient as it is right beside the metro station and open 11am to 10pm.“

“We enjoyed the chicken curry, the paneer tikka masala, the non-veg thali, garlic naan, chai tea, mint mojito, galub jamun and kheer. We were visiting DC, and the food was so good we came in a second night. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff and owner very professional and personable. Highly recommend.“

“First I would like to say that I wish there were more than 5 stars. My son and I are visiting the DC area for the Cherry Blossom festivities. My son has a love for Indian food ever since his trip to India. I have never tried Indian food ever. So this was my very first experience. From the moment we walked in the door our amazing experience began. The atmosphere is beautiful and so is the staff. Our server, April was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She has an amazing spirit and is wonderful with her job! The food... was very fresh, aromatic and DELICIOUS!! My son said the food was the closest to the food in India that he has had here in the states. For my first time... OMG!!! I am HOOKED! The only bad part is that I have to go back to Florida and wait impatiently for my next visit.“

“I had a fantastic experience at Herbivore! I ordered the butter chicken along with both garlic naan and plain naan, and everything was absolutely delicious. The butter chicken was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, while the naan was fresh, soft, and the perfect complement to the meal. Every bite was enjoyable, and the quality of the food really stood out. Definitely a 10/10 experience—I’ll be coming back for more!“

“The best Punjabi food in DC. G.O.A.T Room brings the rich flavors of Punjabi/ Indian food here to DMV. They have every dish (fish, goat meat, naan, butter chicken) that I tried there…the BEST that I ever had. I had tried over 100 of restaurants in DMV and no one can beat this. Punjabi food is known for its rich and buttery flavors and G.O.A.T Room uses only fresh spices and herbs, such as turmeric cloves, ginger, and garlic. The owner, Bobby has created an extraordinary dining experience that brings this special food and culture right to DC. Bobby will visit your table and discuss your meal and personally thank you for coming in. He made a wonderful suggestions of food and drinks.. we were amazed with that selections. Butter chicken has a creamy gravy made of onions, yogurt, seeds, and did not disappoint. The goat meat was the best I’ve ever eaten. Naan and everything was perfect and not too oily at all. The portions are good sized and the presentation is exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely with authentic decor, and smartly set tables but mostly it’s the staff’s hospitality that amazed us. Bobby and his team has accomplished what they have set out to do and that is to bring the best food to the people of DMV. With the rich flavors, fresh, spices, freshest yogurt, and love and care in every dish- they have succeeded. Will be making more trips to DC just for their yummy food! Highly recommended. 10 stars. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5“

“Did the tasty menu and it was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. My Wife was able to get some vegetarian options that she really enjoyed while still tasting some of the food items from the tasting menu that I got. The service was impeccable. They gave us detailed understanding of everything that we were eating. They accommodated all of our needs and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing with top shelf service. Highly recommend and will definitely come back at some point.“

“I don’t leave reviews often. The place has to be either horrible or really good. I’ve eaten at plenty of Indian restaurants across the U.S. and if you want authentic cuisine, you must eat here.
I ordered the butter chicken curry with rice and garlic naan. That’s always my first order when I try a new Indian restaurant. The sauce alone could carry the meal. This is by far the best Indian food I’ve ever had. My first visit, and definitely not my last.“

“After looking for a quick Indian bite to eat with my parent from India, we stumbled upon Bindaas Bowls & Rolls and it exceeded our expectations. The Chicken Tikka Bowl was phenomenal, and the Salmon Moile bowl was very unique. The mix of traditional Indian foods with the idea of eating a quick bite after exploring DC really gels. The mango chutney, mango lassi, raita, rice pudding, and the biryani were also really good. Chef Ajay was very friendly and had a very kind personality. Perfect place for something quick to eat and for some quality food.“

“The Essence was truly an amazing way to deliver food and bring our party to life! With over eighty guests that were all starving we were surprised on how fast they delivered the food and even brought it in for us. You could tell that they put in a lot of work to make this truly exceptional authentic kerala food. And if you didn’t like one thing then there were many other options that would be sure to make your mouth water. Some items include biryanis cutlets and curries with fluffy Apams that deserves the five stars.“

“I live in VA, but love to try different food. My second time here, because food was great. The girl serving was super too. Was not busy the time I was eating. After reading reviews, I wonder where people normally eat as most restaurants have a charge for sharing if they let you all. I like the quiet atmosphere to relax. Nice to be able to have a glass of wine & do that. The manager was super friendly too.“

“First time visiting DC, after exploring the city and carrying a toddler who was all set to throw tantrums the moment we sat to dine at Jab we met, the staff and the manager of the restaurant impressed us with their sweet and kind gesture by offering a cup of mango lassi and other treats to calm down our little bundle of joy who was bubbling with a lot of energy and excitement of being at new place and surroundings. The lady was really courteous and the food was great 👍 We enjoyed the meal and a bunch of thanks to the lady, manager and the whole staff of Jab we met👏 Thank you 🙏“

“This was BY FAR the best dosas and Idli we have had in years! Chef Paul is amazing and he told me he doesn’t believe in catering or delivery because South Indian food is best served hot and fresh and I couldn’t agree more! The Idlis melted in my mouth. The dosas were just perfect - the masala and chutney and sambhar -10/10! Go - no run to this place!“

“We found raaga by accident and ever since it has been our favorite local Indian restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious! I end up ordering 4-5 dishes so that we will have leftovers and the naan is better than anywhere else we’ve been. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint“

“Me & my family had a fantastic experience at Bollywood Bistro in the Ballston Quarter food court. It is easily one of the best spots in the area for a quick yet high-quality meal.
We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was spot on:
Bombay Shrimp: Perfectly seasoned and a great start to the meal.
Chicken Seekh Kebab: Juicy, flavorful, and charred just right.
Lamb Bowl: Tender meat with a great balance of spices—very filling!
Chicken Biryani: Fragrant and authentic, exactly what you want in a good biryani.
Beyond the food, the staff were very courteous and nice, making the whole experience even better. If you’re at Ballston Quarter and craving Indian food that actually packs a punch, this is the place to go!“
“I work right across the street and my coworkers and I order food from here constantly! The chicken tikka masala is better than I’ve ever had, butter chicken is also amazing. The food is always fresh and amazing! Great grocery selection too.“
