“Baked goods that EXCEEDED my expectations as this bakery is underrated. You can get so many delicious pastries at such a reasonable price, with great service; although they don't give receipts, so you can't see directly the pastries you paid. I went to Sion's Bakery and Croustille Cafe and compared to this bakery, all the pastries were unreasonably overpriced, making this bakery, as of right now, the best in town! I was starting to lose hope in Pikesville's bakeries, but now I'm looking forward to being a regular customer, which will be made easy because this place is always open while having the freshest goods with an amazing smell that pervade inside, as well as outside. Only slight complaint is that there should be labels for the pastries for the sake of differentiation and professionalism.“
“Vegetarian options: Stopped in to get Easter dinner for my sister and nephew who are both vegan. I purchased crabcakes, spinach, and mushroom tarts, kale, Caesar salad, and several desserts. They raved about everything. My nephew kept saying how delicious it was.“
“I stopped at Morning Mugs Coffee before an Orioles game (Go O’s) and it was the perfect cup of coffee before a game. The cafe was vibrantly decorated, with a relaxing outside seating area out front. All the pastries were fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Just a great spot for the City of Baltimore.“
“This bake shop is one of my very favorite places and this review is long overdue. Wonderful sandwiches, and the baked goods are to die for. The sandwich menu is pretty consistent and some baked goods are made each day. However most baked goods are made in small batches and vary day to day. There are specials-one of my favorites is the griddled Mac and cheese. Today was a Lord of the Rings celebration with Samwise stew! I also scored a King cake brioche donut and a tiramisu croissant. I am in heaven!“
“Best croissant I've ever tasted, and I spent two weeks in Paris. The focaccia was to die for, and the baguette was over the top. The ethical standards they uphold in both sourcing ingredients and selling are the highest. Even the cocoa, coffee and chai were all delicious. I look forward to sampling the entire menu. Run, don't walk to Motzi Bread.Vegetarian options: to my knowledge this is a vegan bakery“
“Our cake was absolutely amazing! Sarah was great with communication and really easy to work with. We requested a strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries and a custom icing design, and she did such a wonderful job. I (the bride) was the only vegan at the wedding, and everyone said it was one of the best wedding cakes they've ever had. I highly recommend Sarah if you're looking for something delicious and allergen friendly!“
“This the best donuts I have ever had! Those donuts not just delicious, they are perfect, beautiful treat to feel yourself with happiness! The also have different promotional offer - so, today I received a free makeup gift which is full size bottle of foundation, is not it amazing! Love you, guys, and ready to spend 45 minutes to drive!“
“I had no idea what we were in for. What a pleasant surprise! You know it's an exceptional spot when there is a swarm of people continuously going in and out--nonstop. Busy, busy, busy! When you walk in you are serenaded with easy acoustic music and your nose goes in overdrive due to the numerous sweet aromas--chai, espresso, cakes, breads and pastries. The back and right sides are areas deemed for sitting, gathering, studying and...eating! The cash wrap is in the middle section and the items for sale are on the left. There is NO direction or signs on how or what to do when you get in so I figured I'd make my review a bit of a guide: If you're here solely for picking up an order, making a custom order, grabbing a slice of cake or for coffee, you can go straight to the cash wrap. If you are here for pastries (etc.), you'll start on the left. This area is self-serve. Grab a tray, a tray liner and OPEN the little disinfectant oven container to grab a pair of tongs. Brace yourself. You are now ready to turn around into the abyss of desserts. DON'T THINK ABOUT CALORIES. DON'T THINK ABOUT BEING JUDGED FOR ADDING 100 TREATS TO YOUR TRAY. TREAT YO'SELF. Along the wall are breads, coffee beans, and other bagged items. The containers in the middle of the section contains all the freshly made items which you can open yourself and use your tongs to place them on your tray. Each item has a display card that includes ingredients and calorie information. If you want to remember what you selected, take a picture because the packaging is not English. *In addition to the pastries, there are cakes and cake pieces--cake pieces are only available until they last--you MUST try one. Cakes is what Tous Les Jours excels at. The cake section is on the left side of the cash wrap. If you want cake, you'll order it at the cash wrap. I tried the sweet potato pastry (5/5), the melon bread (2/5), strawberry shortcake (2/5), chai tea (3/5), milk crème bread (5/5), strawberry yogurt cake (5/5). It is officially my favorite bakery.“
“Great price for some good pastries. I liked the passion fruit and the ham and cheese (although I wish it was a bit heavier on the cheese) the most. The rest of the pastries purchased were good, but nothing that was fantastic. Overall, they do a good job just not something I would cross the city for. But if I lived closer, I'd visit agin.“
“I ordered a 24 pack of mini cupcakes for my sister’s birthday and they were a hit! The owner was quick to respond to my emails and was very easy to communicate with. The cupcakes were so moist and you could tell that they were baked with love. Would most definitely recommend for parties, or just for a sweet snack!“
“What a find! When in Baltimore’s Little Italy be sure to stop in at the Ovenbird Bakery! They are super friendly & helpful and their bread is delicious! I’d recommend the olive sourdough bread. I’ve been toasting mine and eating it with a variety of toppings. Yum!They have sandwiches and other bread choices... Be aware that the deli closes at 3:00 and that discounts on some purchases occur after 2:00. There is also “day old” bread that you can purchase. If it isn’t sold, they donate it. Isn’t that wonderful?! I myself, love to make homemade croutons or bruschetta.Street parking availability depends on the day & time.I’d suggest making a day of your visit to Little Italy.Parking: Free street parking during the day not far from the bakery.“
“This must be a popular place as two different Baltimore friends have brought me here. The first time, we came in the late afternoon and almost everything was out. This time, we got here earlier. I was told to get the quesadillas! Interestingly, they were nothing like quesadillas. They seemed like little circular corn muffins with some cheese. They were very moist and delicious. I never leave a bakery with just one type of item. The cronuts were good. They were a little sweeter than I would like. What stole the show was the cream puff. It's hard to make bad cream puffs. I appreciated that the cream was not too sweet at all.“
“I've bought bread made by the Breadery at other markets, but Friday was the first time I ever made it into the shop. The place is a carb lover's dream. It's one of those spots that invites you to roam and look at the coffee, the olive oil or even a six-pack of local beer. The real star though is the bread of course. Simply put, their sourdough is the best I've ever had. It's a perfectly chewy, slightly salty bread that is perfect for every application. Their cinnamon swirl bread is much loved by the kids at home for its French toast qualities. It's one of those places that makes you want to try everything and makes you realize how awful our store bought, mass produced sandwich bread really is.“
“Great place for pizza pickup. We ordered the spicy pepperoni, chicken, and half and half for take away. All were fantastic. The crust is a highlight, perfect mix of crispy, chewy, and char that rivals the best crust in the city. The pizza is pricy but well worth the cost.“
“It's still really cool inside, booth style Markets. Many little tightly wound eating spots squished into a smaller space. Takes you back years . A neat own version of cross street market, Broadway Market etc.Parking: Parking is free on the lot. But however 2 hr time limit is enforced“
“Stopped here for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised, very nice store which reminded me of home in NY, been trying to find a nice Italian deli since we moved here 3+ years ago, nice deli nice cakes and cookies just a nice store overall, looking forward to many trips their.“
“Chill vibe, plenty seating and a nice patio !I got the pumpkin brûlée and it was the one ! So moist, sweet and fluffy. Beautiful presentation and the packaging is great too !Very nice service and welcomingOn the counter they have more pastries for a low price. I couldn’t resist an apple croissant and it was as crispy as it was flaky ! Truly a great treatParking: Lot of student housing and residential in the area“
“Came in today craving a donut, never been here before. It’s so hard to find small local bakeries these days! It was a little later in the day but they still had one strawberry sprinkle donut (which is actually my favorite) waiting just for me. It was SO good. Gave me nostalgia of donuts after church in my childhood. Woman at the counter was extremely friendly and donut was only $1.25!Will definitely be back, great little place.“
“Excellent matcha cafe with delicious and not too sweet desserts. The service was fast and easy. They have kiosks that you can use to order on your own. It feels as though you've stepped into Kyoto yourself with the decorative design in the cafe. It's quiet if you're looking for a place to study or it's a great gathering for friends. Their milk tea boba cake and matcha twist soft serve are so delicious!“
“Staci helped us with our wedding cake order. Fabulous experience with booking, delivery, taste and presentation! We had a 10" round almond cake with amaretto raspberry filling and French buttercream icing for our "personal" cutting cake. We also had a half sheet yellow/chocolate cake with cannoli filling and French buttercream icing for our serving cake (cut behind the scenes). We had 75 guests and we had about 20 servings leftover.“
“They have the best cookies ever! Their not too sweet yet soft and chewy. Butter Crunch and Butter Pecan are my favorite hands down!Parking: They are located on a narrow side street but I parked directly in front of the store and was in and out quickly. Also friendly staff!“
“We recently discovered Sweet 27, had driven by many times but never stopped. We were getting tired of our same favorite spots and decided to try something new. They did not disappoint! Family owned, which we love supporting. Food was very good and different things on the menu that I had not seen on other Indian restaurant menus. Vegan bakery is excellent! Highly recommend trying! One of the owners helped us so kind and warm.“
“The pastries all look so incredible but be prepared to pay quite a bit for them. The coffee and drinks are more reasonably priced so I’d recommend going there and just getting drinks and maybe splitting one of their pastries. They had a fair crowd on a Sunday morning but didn’t take too long to get our food and drinks. I see this more of a special occasion or date spot.“
“You want what they've got! Greeted upon walking and cordial with staff who were obliging to let me peruse until I was ready to order. I was very excited to see they have housemade banana pudding & it lived up to the hype! Chunks of real banana with creamy well flavored pudding and fluffy cream. Great ratio of pudding, cream, and soft wafers. also got the double chocoalte cupcake which was delicious, soft, and ultra chocolately without crumbling to bits!Wheelchair accessibility: No step into or inside the shop. In a shopping plaza with accessible ramps and wide sidewalks. Interior room for power chair and low counters to pay.“
“Best cupcakes ever. Rich, yet light. Aesthetically pleasing, as each cupcake is a work of art. I tend to be frugal, but I do not mind treating myself to Cake because it is worth it. The cupcakes are a great alternative to a standard cake when you are trying to please a crowd that has various flavor preferences. I brought a dozen to a farewell party and they were a complete hit! The flavors and textures are unique. Also, for every single holiday, they have special cupcakes in celebratory colors to appropriately commemorate each occasion. So far, my all-time favorite cupcake is coconut with a graham cracker crust. It's exciting to not know which flavors they will have on offer. I enjoy being surprised and trying them all! The cupcakes freeze well. However, I think the cupcakes taste best when they are fresh. I prefer to eat them immediately and for breakfast the next day. If Cake had a membership I would eat more Cake. So it is probably better that, to my knowledge, they do not.“
“I LOVE Codetta Bake Shop and everything about them. I have been ordering a cheesecake from Sumayyah for the last couple of years because my little sister specifically requests it every time she visits me from out of town. It is so so rich and delicious. This year, Sumayyah was so kind and delivered the cheesecake to me in a pinch which was so helpful. Highly recommend picking up some baked goods from Codetta for any occasion. Also- if her annual cookout comes around again this summer- DO NOT MISS IT! It was fantastic!“
“Georgia Grace Cafe is 5/5 in every way! Everything I’ve had there is absolutely delicious and you can just taste how fresh everything is. The atmosphere is super cute and matches the vibe of Historic Ellicott City perfectly. If you’re looking for a healthy breakfast or lunch, GG is the way to go!“
“If you have a sweet tooth, and want a variety of cookie as they change their menu every week; then this is your spot!! Warm, soft, and gooey goodness.Parking: In a shopping center plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Kids love cookiesWheelchair accessibility: Big sidewalks, big doors“
“Ordered a fabulous chocolate tart and box of cookies for the holidays. My guests raved about the quality. The icing on the cake is how kind and thoughtful the owners were working with me and it was all prepared at a reasonable cost point. Can't wait to order again!“
“I absolutely love the place. If you have a sweet tooth, it’s the place. I would recommend Tres leches cake and waffles with fruits( my personal favorites). I like the breakfast menu too!!! Coffee is also great! The Valentine’s Day cakes and cookies looked and tasted so delectable.“
“Went to Cakes in the City when my boss needed a large sheet cake for his mom's surprise party - Cassaundra was amazing at making the design requests come to life and my boss swears it's the best cake he's ever had :) highly recommend for anyone looking for friendly, efficient, and caring service in the DMV area!!“
“Great food and amazing service!!! I had the Drummies, cauliflower, Mac, and lemon cake. Everything was fresh and tasty. The Mac was a stand out because they make their cheese from scratch! The drummies were so good I didn't even need sauce (they provided plenty though)! CS“
“Kim is a Magician!! If you’re in the DMV area and are thinking about getting custom cookies this is your place!!! Kim did an amazing job with my son’s Five Guys themed cookies. She is very professional and turns your vision into reality. I told her exactly what I wanted and she exceeded all expectations. The ordering and delivery process was fast, easy and hassle free. She even offered to meet half way and added an extra cookie with my son’s pic on it for his big day. Will definitely be coming back!!!“
“Ordered some brownies that were very delicious and I'm not a typical brownie lover but these were great. Ordered an 8-inch lemon cake that was very moist with tasty butter cream icing. Email communication regarding my order when I had questions was responsive and positive.“
“What a treat it is to have this baker in Baltimore. Truly incredible pastries, bread, and customer service that keep you looking forward to a Saturday morning treat. I recommend putting some of the bread in the freezer for when you forget to place an order. ;) Thank you Baker's Tin, for all of your tasty treats!“
“I love supporting small businesses and the confetti cake bar makes good cupcakes! The cake is really fluffy, spongy and delicious and I'm more of a frosting girl usually. The frosting had much to be desired and they're a bit overpriced overall. If they were equally as good I'd be willing to pay more. However, they lots of flavor options and a very friendly staff.“
“Chain-store vibes but a better selection and quality than your Panera's. Harbor location is very nice.Vegetarian options: Their only vegan friendly item according to the server was, iirc, the focaccia bread. Plenty of non-meat dishes for vegetarians.“
“Bakery, cafe and boba bar. This cute little bakery has a variety of options for baked goods, pastries, coffee and boba. I love their twist glazed donuts and custard cream filled bread. It's always made fresh. The boba and espressos are delicious too. If you're looking for a celebratory cake, swing by and grab a cake. Their fresh cream cake with fruit on top is my favorite. The ladies in the bakery are friendly from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. Add this to your list to check out. You won't regret it.“
“I love The Avenue Bakery's warm atmosphere , friendly staff and the delightful smell of fresh baked delicious treats. My family and I are always pleased with everything we purchase especially the sweet potato pies, bread pudding and wheat rolls all are outstanding !!“
“Absolutely adorable cafe with excellent customer service! Food and coffee was excellent. This is a hidden gem! We had the Easter special French Toast stuffed with carrot cake and it was heavenly! The crispy chicken picante and fries were perfect!“
“Major props for treating gluten free bread as the half-sized slices they are. This is the first place I've been to that spreads the sandwich contents across two small sandwiches. Every other place either attempts to stuff the insides onto puny slices (rarely) or more likely, simply gives you less. In those places, not only are you paying through the nose for GF bread, but you then get less food for the privilege. NOT SO at Atwater's. On top of delicious creations, you also get generous servings and can enjoy your meal like anyone else. Coincidentally had two meals in 3 days here and will be back!Dietary restrictions: GF“
“Truly excellent bread, perfect balance of crusty shell and soft, light crumb inside, even the rye! I can't describe how delicious the carrot cake was, just try it you won't regret it. I am so glad to find this excellent, local, and multicultural bakery! If I lived closer I'd actually go every “
“I've ordered personalized cakes and cookies from here many times. They are very nice to work with and they do a great job. They have printed pictures onto cookies for me and I was very happy with the results. Orders are always ready on time and everything looks and tastes great.“
“The coffee there is very good and they have creamer and sugar packages you can add yourself. They have delicious bread options too all for good prices. I also recommend trying or sharing their bingsu with friends. The store has a great atmosphere for doing work as well.“
“Why is there never baked items in the showcase. You have to ask what do they have. I asked for a sweet potato pie. They go in the back to get it. It would be nice to see the choices of baked goods. Also, it's unnerving to have to ring the bell to come in when there is a person inside with a apron on just staring at you. BTW the sweet potato pie was amazing. Just the way you have to go about it to get it.“
“This is an iconic place with the best of baked goods from tarts to croissants, tarte tatin, every French pastry. Delectable all. I don't get there often, but if you want choice, try to get there before 10. If I did go there often, you would not be able to get in because my body would be big enough to block the door!“
“Are you looking for professionalism, friendliness and just a great experience? You’re here! The cake was delicious and beautiful. Not a crump was left. I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed. TI cakes made my husband’s birthday more special with the most beautiful and customized cake. I’m stuck here. Not looking further. This is my cake place. Call them and thank me later!“
“The kindest French lady, I assume manager was so nice to everyone, being good to customers beyond what's expected seems such a rarity these days. The best establishments have the best people. Delicious food also.Parking: Metered parking on the street.“
“There’s a hidden gem of a bakery in Baltimore owned an operated by a wonderful French family who brought their love and culinary expertise with them which is why I highly recommend Croustille Cafe. Whether you’re in the mood for their olive bread, baguette or a croissant, this is place go.“
