“Beef brisket dry rub noodles with tofu puffs were delicious. Just the right amount of spicy heat. Scallion pancakes were thin and not very flavorful beyond the grease from the oil that they were made in. The fried dumplings were tasty. They came with a sweet sauce that we did not use. The beef brisket tomato soup with rice noodles was just OK. It was like faintly tomato favored water. Related, my wife and I were unhappy with the brisket given that it was mostly tendons and such. My mother-in-law enjoyed it as her tastes are more traditional, or what other reviewers here call authentic. I recommend ordering online and will do so again but know that the brisket is not what Americans expect.“
“This was our first trip to the Golden China Restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at just how good the food was. It was fresh, hot, and exactly what we ordered. I had vegetable fried rice and two spring rolls, YUMMY! All four of us came home with left overs. Tonight, I finished my dinner. It tasted great again tonight. The wait staff was very attentive. “I went here on a Sunday and I was the only dine in customer at the time. I was craving for this specific food (please refer to my picture, I forgot to ask what it's called ) it came with rice. Although I like Yen's better but this was close. It satisfied my craving. They give a big portion and the pricing was good. Food is always great with good portion and the chicken wings are some of the best I've had. They have this delicate crispy flakey batter they're fried in that's really good. Must order wings with every order. Also they have great dumplings! Large and meaty so another item that must be ordered every time. The lady is always nice but she is a jack of all trades to handling orders, cooking, taking phone and online orders so she can be busy at times. This is a carry out place so no seating. This has become my go to Chinese food place, I just wish they had another menu item like subs but even still. Can't go wrong with all they have, good stuff“

“I was in town visiting family and did not feel like cooking. I absolutely love this place. We did takeout. The food reminds me of the food growing up in NYC. Every single dish is just amazing. The owner is a little guarded and is strictly business but eventually opened up and became softer. “Tried China Garden for carryout tonight and it was delicious. Good quality meat (no funky pieces) and everything was packaged up perfectly and tasted delicious. We tried the egg drop soup, miso soup, hot and sour soup, sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli, Mongolian beef, and crispy beef. We all loved the dishes... probably the best egg drop soup and crispy beef I've ever had.“

But the quality of food, hey, this is Chinese restaurant they're not using fine dining level. Won common is table and self-serving area surface is too sticky, I wish someone wiped that area every half hour or something.“
“I've been coming here since I was in high school (Am about 30 now), and absolutley love Master Wok. Sure it's a tad greasy, like most American-style Chinese places are, but the flavors are great and the service is friendly. I highly reccomend the Sweet and Sour Chicken. It's more sweet than sour but has an incredible taste to it. The General Tso's and Lo Mein is very good as well.“

The restaurant has a few nice gardens on the grounds and the restaurant has a bar area and a sit down dining area. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately. I ordered a few drinks and some sushi of the menu and my friend had two Asian dishes. While looking at some of the plants outside, a lady at the restaurant asked if we wanted to take some flowers home, which I thought was very nice. The food, drinks, and service were very good and I will stop in if I find myself in Poolesville again“
