“I have been a patron at McGarvey's for years. I love your food and service. However, first time I have a complaint. I was anxious to try the crab balls, as pictured in your menu. Although they weren't horrible, they looked nothing like the picture on your menu, very disappointed. I expected pieces of white crab meat and we got very crusted, fried little round balls. I bragged to my grandson about the picture on your menu and it was certainly not what we got. I must say, it is the first thing I have been disappointed with. Either change the picture or take them off your menu.“

“What a wonderful experience. I arrived at this restaurant for their happy hour on Saturday. It was busy but we were able to sit at a table in the bar area. The service was first rate, the food was terrific and very generous especially since it was happy hour. I will be back with both friends and family.“

“I made a last-minute decision to spend the weekend in Annapolis and was just looking for a good dinner spot close to my hotel. Stoney River ended up being a great choice! It’s attached to the mall, so parking can be a little tricky depending on the time and day, but it wasn’t too bad when I went.

I was dining solo and walked right in to find plenty of open bar seating. The bar staff was super pleasant, the area was clean, and the vibe was laid-back and welcoming. They also had a solid drink selection, which is always a plus.

I started with the steak egg rolls appetizer, which came out fast and was a lot more food than I expected (not a bad thing!). For dinner, I went with the filet Oscar and a wedge salad. I always order my steak medium rare and they nailed the temp—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Oscar style was definitely the right call. The wedge salad was okay, but the blue cheese was a bit heavy for my taste.

All in all, it was a really good solo dining experience. Great service, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere. My total with two drinks, appetizer, and dinner was just over $100—not bad at all for the quality. I’d definitely come back, whether solo again or with company next time.“

Scrumptious and interesting food fare, and truly warm and memorable service. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been lovely, but special mention to Eric, Daniel, and Grant, whose hospitality has been inviting and impeccable every time. “I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant in the area for so long. I’ve tried the majority of the ones in the area and always leave disappointed. I actually loved the food here. I got the general Tsos chicken and I loved it. Just the taste was great. I got my husband the shrimp and chicken lo mein and he loved it. The boneless spare ribs were good also and the wontons did not disappoint.

I will definitely be back on those cheat days where I don’t feel like cooking!“

We had a great parking spot right in the front. We didn't experience the bar area. The food was really good and they had great kid friendly options. Our waitress was great!“
