“I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. My husband and our two young teenage children dined here for lunch and everything we ate was absolutely fantastic. The fried shrimp, calamari and clam strips were the best (by far) that I ever had. The house made salad dressing was to die for (creamy garlic dill) and the fries were extra crispy and just perfect. All four of us left the happiest I think we've ever left a dining establishment. I don't normally write reviews but my daughter said that I "absolutely have to tell everyone how great their food is." We can't wait to go back and will be suggesting Dockside to anyone who will listen!“

“I was pleasantly surprised by many aspects of this restaurant. For appetizers we had the boneless wings and shrimp cocktail. Hubby really liked the wings-shrimp cocktail was average of what I would expect. For entrees hubby had the Cobb salad which was fine and even though I typically don't order sandwiches something about the chicken and Brie sandwich appealed to me so I tried that. It was actually quite fantastic...a very different combo of flavors but it really did work and tasted great and very fresh. We have a janitorial contracting business and clean state and federal buildings so I am especially keen on noticing how clean a place is. This restaurant was exceptionally clean. Their restaurant rooms were some of the cleanest I've ever seen. Our server was excellent. She was extremely attentive and very nice and good service also can make or break a meal. I definitely would come back.“

“Just trying out restaurants in the city that I haven't been to yet after living here for almost 4 years. The food here was absolutely fantastic. Fried Fiddleheads, WOW. Amazing. Fried mushrooms, WOW. Amazing. Their French fries, incredible. I had a grilled cheese pulled pork sandwich, pulled pork was ridiculous. Our server was really nice. It was quiet, almost nobody there, just a nice restaurant inspired by belfasts nautical history, will be coming back in the near future.“

“LOCATION: Young's Lobster Pound and Seafood Restaurant is located off Route 1, and as expected for a lobster pound, connected to a harbor. EXPERIENCE: I came across Young's Lobster Pound and Seafood Restaurant during an early summer afternoon just as they were opening for prepared food service. Since Young's harvests, sells, and prepares lobsters a visit is an ideal way to experience Maine culture and food. A variety of freshly prepared shellfish and lobster combinations are on the menu. Lobster and shellfish are plucked from one of many aquarium tanks at the pound. Fish dishes and rolls (including lobster rolls) are available too. AMBIANCE: An interior dining area upstairs allows customers to dine while overlooking Belfast Bay. This was fortuitous for us, as a torrential downpour began shortly after our arrival, making a visit to a roadside lobster roll joint far less attractive. That said, harbor front picnic tables are also available. Another benefit of making Young's your destination, rather than a roadside shack, is the availability of a conventional bathroom for guests to wash their hands before and after enjoying their seafood platters. SERVICE: Service is efficient. There is a system for taking and preparing orders made at the counter and online. TIPS: One benefit of the food ordering and preparation process at Young's is that opportunity to see platters and combinations as they are picked up may help you decide what to order yourself ! Take out orders can be submitted online via TOAST, making it easy to plan to swing by Young 's at just the right time.“

“Let me say upfront--reserve your prime rib ahead of time. That being said, it's worth the phone call. If you are expecting fine dining, temper your expectations. The indoor dining area is not fancy and offers a great view of the service area and restroom, and features nothing but a life sized pirate statue in the way of ambiance, but no one is going there for ambiance or the service. We're all there for the food. The two of us had prime rib which was indeed delicious and a huge pirtion. The salads were beautifully put together on chilled plates and not just a random handful of bagged spring mix. What a nice surprise. Our waitress was boisterous with other tables and ignored our order, bringing water instead of the soft drinks, and neglecting to bring our vegetable until we questioned her about it. The meal was well cooked and beyond fantastic. It offset the lackluster service. We didn't order dessert, but looking around at other dessert orders, we made a mental note to get the strawberry shortcake next time. By the way, the leftovers are plentiful and still yummy.“
