“I have gone to the Whitney every year for Christmas dinner. It was annual holidays to celebrate with my nieces. Last Christmas holiday we chose to take the buffet. I was extremely disappointed. All I wanted was prime rib. The server was not very friendly. She stared at me and I was very uncomfortable when I asked for the prime rib only. There was just a small end piece and she gave me a very thin slice close resembling lunch meat. I don’t understand since I paid for a complete meal and it wasn’t cheap. I could’ve gone somewhere else and had a wonderful prime rib dinner. The au jous was not warm, so that was very disappointing. I will never do the buffet again if it’s like last year. In previous years, I’ve attended the buffet and it was outstanding.“

“Get the salmon, its amazing. Atmosphere is beautiful, especially around the holidays. Rose remembered us from our last visit, and took great care of us. Skylar was our waitress and she didnt miss a beat. They made our experience wonderful and thats why we will be back with our friends visiting from NYC in two weeks. We want to show them that Detroit is just as festive.“

“We had a great time! The sushi, Raspberry Michigan dessert, service, and my drop drink were absolutely delicious! The music and service from Iyanna were amazing, and then Chef Sebastian came out to introduce himself to us. Such a fantastic experience overall—you won’t regret going there for a special occasion! ❤️“

“This is the Creme de la creme of Detroit's finest dining. The service was excellent, the staff was very professional and the General Manger, Byron, was very attentive and impeccable to us. I commend the owners for choosing such a great person to manage the restaurant. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who want to experience the finest in dining. KUDOS to Highlands Detroit!“

“I am not a food critic. But I have the time while flying back home to reflect on dinner last night. The experience was so amazing that I had to leave a glowing review. I seldom take the time to do so.
Marrow is top shelf dining experience. My friends and I went all in with the food paring ($90) and drink paring ($45) options. Pricey but well worth it. 3 small but flavorful starters, a wonderful pear salad, a chorizo and gnocchi dish head of the main event… a 7oz flat iron steak cooked to perfection over a bed of lightly smoked and tender pinto beans finishing with a single scoop of chestnut ice cream. But that was just the food. The drinks were carefully paired with each course. 5 in total. Each one balanced bitterness, sweetness, and acid with each course. My mouth was alive as if it had been raised from the dead. It was so amazing that I forgot to mentally note each drink so I could describe them in the future.
This place is a diamond in the rough. I only wish I had met the chef and the team behind the incredible experience.
I am from Los Angeles and have plenty of great places to dine. My visit to Detroit to watch my friends compete in an indoor track bike race was punctuated be this celebratory dinner.
If you love incredible food with thoughtfully pared drinks, I cannot recommend Marrow enough.“

“Great place! We stopped in for dinner after a Tigers game and they took great care of us. The food was delicious and service was prompt and friendly. Four stars for atmosphere because it was a bit loud for dinner conversation at 5pm, but otherwise great!“
“What a wonderful team, food, beer, cider! We are just so lucky to have had our daughters after wedding party here at Batch. Kimberly was a pleasure to work with during the planning and day of the event.
Stephen came to meet us and was essential in making sure we had “Polish, double smoked kielbasa “ for the event. It should be on the menu full time! Everything was delicious and fresh.
The Alabama white pulled chicken, pulled pork, pretzels, smoked meats charcuterie board, fresh fruit, double smoked Kielbasa ( so darn delicious) and the Kale Cesar salad.. all finished off by our Family and guests. Everyone loved the beer selection, the food and the vibe at Batch!
We have always been supporters of Batch Brewery, now we feel like they are part of the Family.
As always with Batch Brewery, just a wonderful , delicious experience! Thank you all for that.“

“Stopped in for a quick bite and prices were a bit more than I could afford. I settled on the Harvest Orzo. Probably should have noticed bacon was added to request it removed. There were 4 squares of squash, plenty of orzo and a bed of greens. The flavor with squash was great but there weren't many pieces of it to call that the flavor of the dish. It was more like cheesy orzo. The staff was great. I felt welcomed. I know the food here can be great, this time sorry.“

“Came here for a night out with my fiancé and ended up having a blast. They have all the old school games, which fills up my happy little old-school heart. The bar was amazing, and the drinks were fantastic. I will definitely be back as I still have a crap ton of coins. The only con I have is that there's no tickets or prizes for winning the games.“

“Originally from Michigan but now live in Florida. Went to Detroit for the weekend to attend Red Wings games. Looked for perch dinners and found Andrew’s. Absolutely awesome perch with a generous portion. Loved the atmosphere of the old time era. Staff exceptionally friendly as was the owner. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return. What I liked was the minimal breading so you have the true taste of perch. This is by far the place to go if you love perch.“

“Been going there for several years. I like the service. No fooling around no loud talking, laughing out loud, just taking care of business. It’s quiet, professional service, everybody working, and most of the time they got my eggs just like I like them. can’t say anything negative about omega, and I always run into Brenda sitting right on the end at the counter. They know who Brenda is, but you guys might not. I’ll give omega 10 stars.“

“Set inside the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Kresge Court offers a quiet setting for a break from visiting the art galleries. Or a refuge for studying. This is a lovely historic setting! The open air Italian palazzo-style courtyard was part of the museum's original 1927 design. It was covered with a glass roof in the 1960s as the museum was enhanced with two wings providing additional gallery space. It's been used as a cafe for more than 10 years now. Very appealing to visit as a respite or to grab a coffee or a cold beverage, a snack, or a meal. Our visit was for lunch. Party of 6. And the Harvest turkey sandwich proved to be irresistible as 4 enjoyed this Fall Menu offering, two with the homemade chips, two with a side salad. The other 2 had entree salads: the pear salad, and the sweet potato salad (that was me, and I so enjoyed this very different salad of yummy cooked sweet potato chunks on a bed of arugula with candied pecans, goat cheese, and a hint of onion)...absolutely delicious!!). Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. And the chips! Yummy!! Simply order at the counter; the food is brought to your table. And your table is bussed.“

“The food is great! Never disappoints! Only a couple of things to mention. Had to eat soup with a fork. The tacos were delicious but I can't handle spice. I don't know what your putting in the avocado but it is hot, hot, hot!!! 🥵 Still delicious though, I just couldn't eat it.
Other than that everything was delicious. We will wait to eat here.“
“After reading several reviews, it left me hesitant about going to Iridescene, however I'm glad that I did not let that deter me. Everything we ordered, from the wine and dine menu was delicious. The chicken breast was tender enough to cut with a fork. And the mashed potatoes were very tasty and well seasoned. I would recommend this place.“

“First thing dinning here. Wish we would have came out sooner. Fantastic experience. Warm crab dip was phenomenal. Whole red snapper, oxtail and extra cheddar risotto. Everything was excellent. Flavor and portion sizes are huge. Finished with bread pudding which the house included for our anniversary. Was delicious. Highly recommended trying this place out.“

“I’ve been coming to Family Treats since I was a little girl—back when it was still called Tasty Freeze. The ice cream was always a favorite, and I loved their Coney dogs. Now, years later, I get to share those same memories with my own children. Today, they enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and chili cheese fries, generously treated by my mom. I’m so grateful we can still come here as a family, relive old times, and create new memories together. Places like this are rare gems—filled with tradition, comfort food, and heart.“

“Great spot near the people mover. The staff was 6 stars but I could only choose 5. We took a dip in the salt water hot tub down in the grotto and enjoyed some tasty craft cocktails from the library. Super cool historical spot with great rooms and amenities. This was our 1st stay but not our last.“

“I've frequented the Library numerous times but recently visited the restaurant twice this month with friends -- and it just gets better and better. Our server Jonathan S. was not only friendly and welcoming but extremely knowledgeable about the menu, history of the building, and on-site offerings such as the upstairs cigar and billiards lounge. Had the most luxurious ribeye and octopus of my life. Detroit Club is quickly becoming my favorite place in the city.“
