“Buddy's Who? What they lack in overall restaurant space. They make it up with EXCELLENT engaging customer service. Fresh ingredients and great food. I've been three times they've hit the mall each time. When you stay open until you sell out, you've got a winner. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures from anticipation. We had the waffle fries, roasted carrots with goat cheese, hot wings and two different pizzas.I don't eat pork, so having a beef pepperoni option was clutch! Everything was delicious, the roasted carrots were a present surprise. Our servers were extra attentive and helpful.“

“I planned ahead and made a reservation in advance on 12/3 for Thursday 12/18 at 745pm for 3 people at The Viridian Room. We specifically made this reservation through their Instagram/Resy. My two friends and I show up, and not only is the Viridian Room closed, but so is French Toast, despite their hours stating the close at 9pm. I tried calling to no avail, and ended up going to another Clawson bar, Local, instead. We were so excited to try this place and extremely disappointed we were not able to attend. Attached below is the confirmation of my reservation.

Edit 1/16/26: The manager had reached out to me via text and was kind and apologetic. She offered to reschedule the reservation and provide a free appetizer. My friends and I went back last night and had wonderful drinks and a snack! The bartenders were very kind and prompt. We will definitely go back. Thank you for making things right!“

“If you are contemplating where to dine…go here…you won’t be disappointed. Gabi and Gabriel are such gracious and hospitable owners of this diamond in the rough in hazel park. Service is 10/10. Their food…100/10. Their drinks are plentiful and their food is all authentic and homemade. Their Langos with garlic sauce is AMAZING…Honestly my wife and I have tried almost all of their staples (they also have rotating chef specials) and we have not found one thing that we don’t like. Their “from the woods” polenta is fantastic for vegetarians. There is something for everyone and once you go…you will keep going back for more.“

“The food is great but not halal. Service is on point and didn't miss a step. Seatting is first come first served. Can see about 14 small round tables not including the bar seats. The vibe is chill and is a great place for a low cost but high atmosphere date night. Not great on street parking so it's best to get here early if you wanna a spot.“

“I had a pleasant experience with this place. All of the food seemed fresh, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is very vibrant.

The 2 times in which I went, our group sat outside, being that it was summer. They had trivia, which I assume is every Wednesday.

As for food, I got the caprese sandwich on the first occasion and the then the Tomato basil soup on the second. Both were good but the caprese sandwich was very good. While the menu is not huge, it does offer the basics and has a few healthier options, such as vegan dishes.

Overall, the atmosphere and food qualiy make this place worth checking out.“

The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“
