“One of the best chinese food places on the area. The food is always hot and freshly made when I pick it up, and it doesn't take very long either. I had a General Tso's the other day. The chicken was nice and crispy even after driving home with it. Highly recommend checking this place out if you can!“

“The only place around here to order sushi from. It's kind of a shame they don't have a dining room, but I'm happy to take all of their food home and plate it up myself. Absolutely delicious, fresh, and they are fast when you order online.“

“The food here is absolutely amazing, some of the best Chinese cuisines i’ve ever had. I ordered Chicken and Vegetables, the chicken was juicy and the veggies were fresh. The customer service was great and the portions were big. Will be returning and recommending.“

“First time trying Ah-Ha and was very pleasantly surprised. The crab & shrimp boil was delicious but the cajun seasoning could have been spicier. I was thrilled to find marinated pork belly as the pork in my noodles (pork and vegetable option). This was a "need a towel, not a napkin" kind of meal - messy and great! We will definitely be back.“

“Really weird atmosphere and vibe. Service was good.
The soup dumplings were pretty good! Spring rolls were ok and the walnut buns were interesting. We had the braised bone-in duck dish and we thought it was too
bony and didn’t have a lot of flavor. Got general tso to go and it was kinda boring - no broccoli, no rice. Just deep fried chicken with some sauce on the side.“

“I got the Mongolian Chicken combo dinner
Food was good and fresh. Good flavor. Egg roll was freshly made
Definitely a place worth trying again. It's nice to find a chinese restaurant in the area that is clean and the staff seem to enjoy doing their job. See you next time!“

“I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

“Best Chinese food in metro-Detroit, hands down! Nothing frozen, all fresh..they hand bread the chicken and it is fried to absolute golden brown perfection! The general Tao’s sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Egg rolls are light and crisp. Happy you is amazing consistent, I’ve been a customer for 10+ years and I’ve never been disappointed. They are also extremely friendly, portions are big and the prices are very reasonable! A+++“

“This is the best Chinese food all around Novi, Walled Lake and Commerce Township! This is the only Chinese place I will eat at! The food is so fresh and always hot! And you get so much food! My favorite plate is the sesame chicken. 10/10 I always recommend this the friends and colleagues!“

“We went to the P.F. Chang's by Fairlane Mall in Dearborn & even though it was 3pm on a Friday, the place was empty.
We didn't leave until after 4pm & only 2 other people came in.
I can see this Restaurant closing really soon if things doesn't change.
The food was the normal P.F. Chang's & the Bar Waitress/Bartender was great, but the menu has changed to smaller portions, but at a higher price.
The Happy Hour drinks & portions are a lot smaller, but the price remains the same.“

“Hong Hua is in an interesting position, in which it targets a luxury experience and great eats. The environment certainly meets those expectations as it feels more like a higher end, business focused feel with the refinement, yet everyone seems to be in street casual mode. Also food is offered in a a’la cart style very similar to a higher end steak house; you bill can scale up quickly because of this.
Food: The menu certainly has specialized dishes you won’t find in the average Chinese restaurant. Peking Duck is one of those things you should certainly try; it’s an broasted duck served with a unique pancake & sauces. I’ve been going here off and on for the past 10 years and they seem consistent. IMHO I feel leans toward the western taste, meaning heightened emphasis on certain spices such as salt. I’ve had the opportunity to sample authentic Chinese foods in China & other Asian countries. In terms of authenticity I give them an A-; it’s tasty
Price: Seems to be on the higher end; from 1-10…I’d say level 7 or 8.“

“China House Inn has become our go to Chinese takeout spot. We love TenYen but it's a little bit further of a drive and the good is close to equal. Delicious egg rolls, good shrimp fried rice, and most dishes have been tasty. The almond chicken gravy is bland and the Mongolian beef wasn't the best but we love the sweet and sour chicken, general chicken, and Szechuan chicken. Very nice workers too.“

“Very tasty Chinese food, which is hard to find for some reason. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Chicken was crisp and both the chicken and rice were well seasoned.
To the owners or management - please clean out the light covers on the ceiling. Thanks!“

“I ordered the General Taos Lunch special and it came with an egg roll. I added shrimp Ragoon to the order. They serve very large portions, enough for two people. The chicken chunks were HUGE! Flavored with a traditional general Taos sauce with broccoli. The stir fried rice was ok. I really loved the fact that everything was served piping hot. I live 20 minutes away and it was still very hot when I got it home. The ragoon was a little sweeter than I am used to. But the egg roll was real cabbage which is another win for me. Pleased with my order and the service was great. I will come again. Thank you.“

“GOAT but you’d better make reservation one day in advance for the customized foods. Impressive Shanghai cuisine, born and raised in Shanghai, Jeff’s cuisine made me feel home. This is what called authenticity. I came from Chicago but can’t find any Shanghai cuisine can compete with Jeff’s kitchen here. Gotta give it 💯“

“I’ve been here a few times as it’s consistently tasty each time. While the menu focuses on noodle variations it offers other tasty treats. Watching the noodles crafted by hand is quite entertaining. It’s made in a similar way that pizza is made, instead of spinning dough into a saucer, here they perform fancy jump rope techniques into thin tasty noodles cooked in seconds. Adorned with various proteins, veggies, & spice levels there’s bound to be something you like. I find these flavors to border the authentic side vs. Panda express. Aside from the great eats I like the fact that there’s a ev charger in the parking lot (not free though).“

“I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food...it is either blah or just ok to me. There’s never been a restaurant that made me think it was great, mostly because I prefer other ethnic food much more. That being said, even with my bias, this place is really good! The portions are HUGE and at a fair price, and the egg rolls are perfectly crisp on the outside and flavorful and moist on the inside. What makes it 5 stars? The staff has a sense of urgency...everyone is bustling around in there, but they are really friendly and you genuinely feel that they are happy their restaurant is so full and busy. I got the sense that they really wanted to please people. Even on a Friday night when it was very busy, we barely waited 10 minutes to get seated. Our food came out very fast and our waitress was super nice. It was also noticeably very clean in there. Nice updated decor and fresh clean tables and booths.“

“First time here, and I will differently be back. Almond boneless chicken was not the thin and bread normal. This was not greasy, lightly breaded, and thick with very taste brown grave. Rice was lightly seasoned and egg roll had taste, crispy veggies. Yummy. It's a must try.“

“I Ordered from here for the first time today and WOW! SO GOOD! The service was excellent, the gentleman at the front counter was very polite. I was skeptical because lately I've been going other places and getting small portions but man did they go above and beyond! Food was fresh and delicious and they made it exactly to my liking 👏🏽 this is my new fav!“

“The sweet and sour chicken is not what it used to be. The sauce was vinegary. There were no green peppers or pineapple. The plum sauce for the egg roll was the same.“

“I used to go here as a 8-10 y/o, I'm 42 now. My dad worked at the Marathon on the corner. I was friends with the owners son (I believe it has changed hands since I was a kid). The food was really good I have nothing but fond memories of this place.“

“First time getting food from here. I had Sweet and sour chicken. They gave a large portion with a beautiful presentation. The only complaint I have is the food was very bland. It could have been seasoned better. I will go back for a different selection.“

“I had to post a review for two young gentlemen, who are normally on the Saturday schedule Connor & Marco. They Make a great tag team! Marco Always remembers our order, and Connor is consistent with the upbeat Energy, moving the line along and making sure the portions are supportive to muscle growth for protein needs. Advice: For Panda Corp, keep the tofu dish, ready all day.“

“I ordered off of the traditional menu and it was some of the best Chinese/Sichuan cuisine I've ever had. I ordered the beef and tendon appetizer and the fish with pickled vegetables hot pot. Both were delicious.
The tendon in the beef appetizer was sliced very thin, so it had the perfect chewiness without being overly tough. This dish features a spicy, numbing chili oil base with smashed cucumbers at the bottom. The cucumbers provided a nice, cooling contrast to the rest of the dish. The garnish of cilantro and raw garlic also provided craveable bursts of flavor.
The soup was also excellent. The fish was tender and flakey. The greens weren't overly pickled and had a great crunch. The broth had an excellent depth of flavor with notes of garlic, ginger, and various chilis. This dish came with a burner and stayed steaming hot for 45+ minutes.
Another thing about this place is the portions. They're huge. The beef tendon appetizer was enough for at least 2 people, and the soup was enough for 3-4 people. There was a PILE of fish in that thing.
I look forward to coming back here with a group so I can try more things. The interior is nice and they also have a full bar.“

“Absolutely best and highest quality Chinese food that I know of. This isn’t your typical “Chinese Restaraunt”. You’ll find no buffet or anything of that sort here. Impeccable interior, with the added plus of the Jia Bar Connected and owned by the same owners. Stop and have a craft cocktail at Jia then 10 steps into the China Cafe through the door and be prepared for a fantastic experience! Owners are absolute gems as well.“

“Rating food is somewhat subjective, but I love & at times Crave Chineese food, especially Egg Foo Yung, a friend treated me that dinner & now I'm hooked on this tiny carry out restaurant. Super delicious, very generous potions & Best Priced menu, not to mention pleasant service too. This little place on M-59 is very busy, a needle in a haystack. My opinion, the go to place for egg foo yung, yummy!!“

“First time here and it was very good. Being a native metro Detroiter I recall the days of fabulous almond boneless chicken (ABC) from one particular restaurant. 30+ years later, I’m still searching for that taste. This place is pretty darn close. The lunch combo portion was huge, more than enough for two very generous servings. In fact when I picked up the order the bag was so heavy I checked inside to be sure I had gotten the right order. The chicken was tender and breading crisp despite my not eating it for 45 minutes after picking it up. The gravy is the a bit salty neon yellow I recall. The fried rice with a few bean sprouts mixed in was equally good. I did not care for the eggroll, but its importance was marginal. The place is primarily carryout, although they have a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your food. My order was ready promptly. So if you’re one of those metro Detroiters looking to satisfy“
