I couldn't be more pleased with the excellent customer service and quality of the food we receive every time. I send the owner a fairly complicated spreadsheet, and he bags the sandwiches by school for me to make distribution much easier for me. Each order is marked and 100% accurate. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. I place similar orders at different universities several times a year, and this is the ONLY place that is consistent and accurate. As someone who enjoys chicken, I was really impressed with the quality and taste of their chicken sandwiches—they were fresh, flavorful, and made just the way I like. Another highlight for me was their cookies, which were soft, delicious, and the perfect treat to go along with my meal.
What made the visit even better was the friendly and respectful behavior of the employees. They were attentive, quick with service, and made sure my order was exactly right. “Visited twice, once months ago and once today. Wow! What a great sub! Yeah I am not fond of a sub costing $15 like the giant italian does but wow is it worth it! I mean the staff politeness was awesome (including in store safety virus protocols)! Then the sub was over the top again. Freshest bread anywhere, perfect red tomatoes, crisp lettuce, fresh sliced meat, spices...just delicious! Again, the staff here was great! I wish I knew the name of the African American gentleman that greeted me and I think was in charge. I witnessed his door greetings to other customers and he really has that "personal touch" with people. I think I need to eat here at least 1-2 times a week for now on. My wife already told me we need to focus on them vrs the other alternative sub restaurants. I think she is right!“

“It's a good thing that everything this menu is good because every time we go, something is wrong with the order. Every. Single. Time. It's comical. Doesn't matter the location. Piquette was the most recent, but last time it was the Livernois spot. Thankfully we're able to pick pickles off or deal with no pita chips on our salad or even accept beef instead of chicken, because again, everything is tasty. Not worth it to complain because the staff aren't the most friendly. Like another reviewer said, get an extra side of garlic!“

“Stopped in today and was helped by a girl who was working. She was wonderful, had an amazing personality and was just really pleasant. Service was very quick and sub looked great! I was disappointed to learn that this location does not allow credit card tips… every other Subway I have been to does allow them. I read some other reviews that this location apparently doesn’t take coupons either? Not sure about that but if you go just know that you’re probably going to have a wonderful experience if she is working and want to bring a cash tip! :)

“I've always used the app to place my orders (sub club). For the most part the subs are accurate as far as ingredients. It's hit and miss how well they're put together depending on who's working... sometimes they're sloppily put together. There's a guy that works there who always nails it! But don't believe anyone there reads the comments (can add in the app). I always ask for my footlong NOT to be cut in half but they always do anyway, I think out of habit. I prefer to cut it in thirds when I get home. Aside from that, there are booths to sit and eat and kept clean. It's a small restaurant and there are no public restrooms.“

The bright lighting, the immaculate glass on the prep station, and even the chip racks and drink coolers are perfectly stocked and organized. It shares space with a convenience setup, which is honestly a huge plus because I was able to grab my lunch, a cold drink, and some snacks for later all in one swoop.
I also noticed they have the fresh meat slicers right behind the counter now, and you can really taste the difference in quality. The staff working the line deserves a shoutout, too. They were handling a steady flow of customers like absolute pros—working fast to keep the line moving, but they didn’t rush me while I was ordering. They built my sandwich exactly how I asked, toasted it perfectly, and didn't drown it in sauce (which is usually my biggest pet peeve!).
If you are navigating downtown Detroit and need a fast, reliable, and surprisingly fresh meal, this location is a hidden gem. It completely elevated my usual fast-food expectations. Quick, friendly, and spotless. I'll definitely be making this my regular stop when I'm in the area!“

“The crew that worked at this Henry Ford location on: April 14, 2026 around 2 pm was GREAT! I was having a low blood sugar reaction and they helped me immediately when I told them. I requested an oatmeal raisin cookie and cup for a drink until I could order my sandwich. Tanijha gave me the cookie and cup immediately. When it was my turn to order my sandwich Mimi and Malcolm worked very well together to get my sandwich to me expeditiously due to my low blood sugar. All this happened during a very busy time for them; however, they worked together to get me and my blood sugar together! 😊 I want each of them to know that I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. I tried to call to speak with their manager Angela the next day, to compliment them, but the phone just rang, then cut off. God BLESS and kudos to each of them for a JOB WELL DONE!

“We came here a few minutes prior to closing time.
The man that serviced us was extremely pleasant, prompt and polite. He was an older gentleman with salt and pepper or possibly white hair. He was so patient with us, even though he was about to close down. He loaded our sandwiches up with the remainder of meat he had left (we got double meat and it was much more generous than any other subway we’ve been to) and he was super fast with the whole process. It’s truly the people that make an establishment 5 stars or 1 star. He did an awesome job and we truly thank him for servicing customers so close to the end of the shift, and even a few minutes after close, with such understanding, patience and respect. You don’t see that very often, especially in a fast food restaurant. The food was great, too. The sandwiches were juicy, fat and toasty. Just how we like them. Cookies on point. We will come back.
