“I recommend going to see Stephanie. She was more than attentive we were never in need for anything! She gives a new meaning to service with a smile. My wife and I have been back many times just for her good cheer she seems to pass on to all around her! 5 stars for Stephanie and Como’s for having such a great staff!“

“I stopped by for a late breakfast and had "The Forager", what they call a "rumble" of eggs, mushrooms, smoked gouda, onions and greens. A great combination of flavors. It came with seasoned fried potatoes and sourdough toast. I like a place that offers sourdough. And the coffee. As someone who takes their coffee black, I am often disappointed by diner coffee and resort to cream and sugar just to make it palatable. Not so here. Whatever blend they are using is of superior quality.\nI've only been here the one time, but their menu looked pretty diverse for breakfast and lunch. Would recommend.“

“Been here a few times since moving to Ferndale. I'm yet to have the same dish twice, and have NEVER been disappointed. The owner and staff are super friendly, my food is always ready quick, and the menu/weekly specials always have something interesting. I only wish they were open later for night owls like myself, but they're worth getting up earlier for. Go for the entrees, but don't forget to grab dessert there, too! The Coconut Cream Cake that was on special the day I'm writing this might be the best piece of cake I've ever had.“

“I had the Chicken Athena tonight. Outstanding! Fresh ingredients including fresh olives, and chicken. You could pay 2-3 times more at other restaurants, and not nearly as good as Christine's. This place is a real find!“

“The meads are a constantly rotating selection so if you see something you think you might like...get it! It may not be there next time. The service is excellent and the whole experience is very casual. Trivia Nights are great (and loud). There is often a food truck outside during events. This is important as the only food served to ends to be bags of gourmet pretzels.“

“we didn't even get served or get any food. they refused to serve us. it took near 10 minutes for some woman to even come over and bring us to a table. after that we watched as their servers sat at the bar, and helped every one of the maybe 6 tables in the entire place that were occupied except us. they clearly have some problem with gay people as they had no issues helping any of the other guests. i watched the servers acknowledge us and just go help the other tables. we have previously had uncomfortable experiences every single time we have been there where the male servers say things under their breath until they get so irritated with us that the female hostesses have to complete our service. i truly am astonished that someone who runs a small business/restaurant would be treating people who want to eat there like that. every employee in the establishment behaved as if we made them visibly uncomfortable so maybe consider going somewhere else if you're looking for dinner. Finally, the service was already bad to begin with on top of their utter and complete refusal to serve us this last time that we tried going. I would suggest giving your money to a restaurant that isn't fully run and owned by losers who clearly don't want money!“

“We first went to imperial in 2024 on our first visit to Detroit. As soon As we landed, we drove straight here for a meal that we knew would satisfy. The service is always fast and friendly ( ask your server for recommendations for food, drinks, activities they won’t steer you wrong). We opted for the taco of the week ( vegan chorizo and creamy), imperial Sonoran and tostada, as well as the nachos. We were all stuffed and happy. Shout out to Pricilla“

“I came in at what seemed to be a slower time. I was taken care of right away. Our server was great. I ordered Agedashi Tofu, and the house salad. My daughter ordered Chicken Teriyaki, we both got miso soup- which was not included in her meal which I thought was weird. Everywhere else I go it comes with. The soup was pretty bland, and was $6 each. Daughter liked her chicken teriyaki. I enjoyed my tofu. The salad was good, but I’ve never paid $8 for a little side salad before. All in all we had a pleasurable experience and liked the food. But I will likely not be back, I have many other spots that are more affordable.“

“This is a hidden gem in Ferndale, MI. The staff was great and the food was good with generous portions. The beer selection was amazing. I was a first time visitor on August 21, 2025. I signed up for the rewards program and received $10.95 off my bill. I will definitely visit this restaurant over and over again.“

“Mays is a goto for me!!! I’m in love with the King Ka Lee I believe. It’s the yellow curry with rice, chicken and potatoes. Perfect for a winter day. The food is always cooked fresh and you can watch them cook it. It’s really fast I like to order when I get there because it only takes a real 5 mins. And I add a Thai tea for the spice. Ima medium + spice kinda guy. If you want to go crazy add mushrooms.“

“Last night we had Charise as our server. She was the bomb!! Great personality, knowledgeable on food. beer & spirits. I ordered half an order of plain chicken wings! Holy cow they were a full wing and huge! They were awesome. They had a little dry rub on them. Sauce on the side. We were on the 2nd floor. Very quaint and had a pool table. I highly recommend this place. It was my 1st time there. I'll be going back!“

“This weekend we visited Detroit Fleat to check out their brunch, and I have to say it’s one of the most family-friendly and pet-friendly restaurants we’ve been to all summer. The restaurant has ample space for strollers and high chairs. The outdoor patio and kid play area are a huge plus — it allowed us to relax and enjoy our meal while our daughter had fun.

Our server, Marissa, was excellent — a true 10/10. Her patience, service, and attention to detail made the experience even better.

For food, we ordered the Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Nachos, Pancakes, and Mac and Cheese for our daughter. Everything was delicious — we’d give it all a 10/10, except the pancakes, which we’d rate a 7/10.

The ambiance was relaxed and laid-back, perfect for a weekend brunch. One small area for improvement is the host stand — when we first walked in, there was no greeter, and we only got seated after walking inside and being directed by staff behind the bar.

Overall, we loved the experience and especially the patio. We’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy more time outside with both family and friends.“

“Went here for my Mother's Day brunch with my husband and our two children. Started with the Billionaires Bacon. The bacon isn't much to write home about, but the sauce they put on it? Makes it 100% worth it! I got the Smothered Potatoes and added two eggs to the top, they were out of carnitas, so they used chorizo. In my option they should change it permanently! So delish! My husband got the Carnitas Benny, and said it was really good too! Will be back for sure!“
