“I enjoyed lunch yesterday at Village Baker. I went with the half sand and cup of soup combo. I had mushroom barley soup with my grilled tuna sand. Both were heavenly. A side of fries and a pickle was included. You get to choose your side. Pro tip: I was by myself and so I did not have to wait 'cause I ate at the bar. When the bill came the bartender gave me $ 5 off as a first timer! So I gave her back the $5 as her well-deserved tip. I also bought a loaf of very fresh sourdough bread and two breakfast cookies. This is my new "happy place" and I am looking forward to returning soon for another great experience.“

“We do takeout regularly from Turks and it’s always perfect. Tonight (NYE 2025) we had company and ordered takeout for all of us. There was a mixup and my bf brought home the wrong bag of food. Turks recooked our order, told us to keep the wrong order as well, and even gave us a gift card for the inconvenience and delay. Very impressed! You guys are amazing.“

“I waited several minutes at the bar before someone came to take my order. There was no one behind the bar (it was just past lunchtime and the place was not busy). Food was delicious although the steak (8 oz. Bourbon Street) was overcooked. When I pointed that out to the server, he immediately returned it to the kitchen and ordered another which was cooked to order. He also gave me a complimentary salad. “My husband and I went to the wine dinner by chef Tripp and it was amazing! The food was the best we’ve had in the area. The wine was perfectly paired and we learned so much. The dessert was by far our favorite, it was even better than we could have imagined. It was a little bit loud, but I’m glad it was a popular event! A lot of the wait staff and staff had tie dye shirts with a logo on the back. Those were cute. Had the steak and eggs, American fries, Texas toast, coffee. Everything was excellent. The wife had standard two eggs bacon and toast. They've had to recently upcharge $0.50 per egg, like a lot of restaurants are because of the new price increase with the bird flu. Still, excellent money for the value that we got. Plenty of portions. Will try to go back soon, hopefully not as long as 20 years. The decor is quaint with airplane memorabilia hanging from the ceilings the walls and posters. Don home folk down home food downhome good time down home great value.“

“today me and my fiance got toast and jams take out for breakfast. we wanted one of those stay in your pajamas eat breakfast in bed type of days. the only thing that could have made it better is if they did delivery but I was fine picking it up because then I got to order a drink when I was there. I didn't see any drinks to order on the website but I might have just missed that completely that could be my fault but I was happy I went inside cuz I could get it to go coffee. haven't been in to toast and jams in quite some time but I was very impressed. it was super cute inside. I definitely want to go back and eat inside it was so adorable in there and a little area that they have to order drinks at off to the side is super cute. when I walked into toast and jams there was nobody at the door to greet me which was fine and that kind of looked around and was trying to figure out where to go to pick up my order. so I was walking around a little lost and the nicest server came up to me to put me in the right direction I believe she said her name was Miko. younger girl real cute had a hat on short hair shortish darker skin very pretty. anyways the server was such a joy. she stopped the work that she was doing to come up to me and point me in the right direction asked me if I needed help or needed to be set. told her I was picking up a to go order she pointed me in the right direction said she had to go check on a table but she would be back in a minute to make sure that I had everything I needed. I don't really think that was her job to be working the door I think she works the tables but I appreciate her taking her time out of her day to approach me and she was so polite and friendly I'll definitely come back in to eat and ask to sit in her section. food was amazing kitchen did a wonderful job I eat at a lot of breakfast places and this was really top notch good job kitchen. all around good experience I'll be back“

“From central Illinois (nowhere near Chicago) spent a long weekend north of Muskegon, and enjoy checking out breweries. Unruly is in my top three of all I've visited. Was there Apr 26, and had a great conversation with the bartender, loved the vibe, artwork, and especially the brew. The scotch ale was near the top of any I've had......the stout was coffee forward with a chocolately finish (but not heavy)........and the sample of the barrel aged porter was incredible. If your distribution was this far south, I'd be buying often. You guys do it right.“

She was given one and then requested two water cups for her and the man with her. I then witnessed both of them fill the “water cups” with pop. The man also filled his Starbucks cup with pop as well. It may seem silly not to hire someone for that, but I wasn’t impressed at all.“

“The service was great I wouldnt ask for more me and my fiancee was eating there and I seen something on my fiancee plate like the plate was dirty so I called my waiter (Nick) over and I told him I was like it looks like my fiancee plate is dirty is it possible for me to get a new one . He said sure I will transfer your food to a different plate . He ask if that was better and I said yes and thank you so much for doing that .

“I love Russ's and am convinced there is not a cleaner restaurant in the area. The staff is ever so kind and helpful. The menu items are nostalgic and delicious, remind me of my childhood and going to diners with my grandparents. I look forward to the beef and barley soup options. They're fries are some of the best in town, not gluten free.
