“For a greasy spoon place, the food is fresh and has a great taste. The staff seems to take pride in the way the food comes out. We stop for lunch a lot during the week. The fish is good but the last time I went to get some the closing shift cook gave me less fish than normal or smaller filets and way too many fries. But overall that's the only time ever had any type of complaint.“

“Love this place!! Great burgers and fries! I ate out tonight and choose this restaurant, unfortunately they didn’t give my extra sauce that I did pay for. And one of them was only a quarter full. But, I’d still go back! (Try their sauces! So yummy)“

“Stopped in to try the St. Patrick's Day menu. Went with the burger with the corned beef added onto it. (Sorry, I can't recall the name of it!) In a word - awesome!! And the mint mousse dessert "for two" was big enough for, at least, three! Also incredible!! Service was amazing, too, from the bartender! Loved everything about it!!“

“Very busy on a Friday afternoon/evening. We arrived about 4p to sit at the bar, but it was full already! We sat in a booth instead. Our waitress, Diane, was great as we took our time with a drink, then a starter, and finally dinner. Stuffed mushrooms were very good. Cuban sandwich was full of flavor. Customers were waiting out the door by the time we left. It was very noisy and the restrooms are unisex. It is not fancy.“

“My family loves visiting Fatty Lumpkins Sandwich Shack! I have a gluten allergy, and they have gluten free bread available, which is nice to have that option. If you get the gluten free bread toasted, they also offer to toast it on tin foil so as to limit the cross contamination. My favorite thing to order is their chicken salad sandwich, but really anything on the menu is great. The atmosphere is fun, and the service is very friendly and helpful.Definitely recommend checking it out!“

“Always a favorite for my wife and I. The food never disappoints and the German beer is a favorite of mine. Service is always friendly and I honestly all around a great experience every time. I personally love the pork schnitzel and it’s the only thing I’ve actually eaten here and it will always be that way. That being said, I’ve never tried anything else on the menu.“

“Warm friendly atmosphere. Was there to meet with a large group. The Muskegon LGBT community to discuss Gay Pride Parade. The baristas were able to keep up with no issue. The coffee was delicious. There was an undefined element in my wife's Chai tea. It was driving her nuts trying to figure out what it was, but it too was delicious. Will definitely be back.“

“My wife and i went in today and had lunch. We have been there many times and can’t get enough. As a chef and foodie myself i am always impressed with their offerings. We actually drove 7 hours (from Des Moines Iowa) to eat here. I don’t see what these 1 and 2 star people are talking about. Definitely a must try, support local and Eat local.Vegetarian options: Mushroom tacos, curry vegetables tacos and seasonal vegan burrito is my wife’s favorite and they have falafel tacos ???“

“Arrived 11am on a monday and the place was a bustling. The dining area is definitely on the small side but people understand this and don't diddle daddle.I only waited 2 minutes for a seat at the counter (7 stools). Wait staff is of the teamwork type. Everyone helps and is happy to be helpful.I ordered an Irish Omelette, with white toast, and a side order 1/2 biscuits and gravy. Food was ample size for price and cooked VERY well (great, exceptional)!Tasted amazing too!I requested a water and a diet coke. Cold and refreshing.Only 1 table that can hold 7 or squeeze in 8. But lots of tables that can squeeze 5. Space is the only possible gripe about this restaurant.Herbie's is everything you want in a small diner that is open until 2pm.Great food, price, service (Kathy was also exceptional), and atmosphere!!!Herbie's should be your next stop in Muskegon for breakfast/lunch!Bravo,Busta-RandallParking: Empty building next door allows overflow.Kid-friendliness: Lots of elderly to oooh and ahhh at them.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight but doable for all but the largest mobile chairs.“

“Their food is AMAZING!!!!! Enough said! Updating my post 3/2/2024... The food is STILL AMAZING!!!!Kid-friendliness: Family oriented atmosphere. I do wish there was a wider selection for kids menus. One minus was the man c cheese we ordered for my granddaughter. It was over cooked/dry. Otherwise, the food is AMAZING!“

“Classic Grand Haven Spot with good food and speedy service! We started with the Rangoon Appetizer which I'd definitely get again! These are not your typical mass produced Rangoons. They are special. For our dinners we got an Olive Burger and and a Perch Basket like any good West Michiganders. My wife is something of an Olive Burger expert and said it's a perfectly respectable effort and it gets the job done. She loved their ranch dressing. My perch basket was crispy and tasty with a nice light coating on the fish.Solid selection of drinks, nice atmosphere and downtown without being too downtown. This is a good spot for anybody passing through town to get dinner and drinks in a comfortable setting.“

“I love the kitsch of this place. I walked in and there was this ceramic toaster that was the cutest thing, I swear to God, my heart absolutely melted. It's like you're in between a café and a farm kitchen, and I adore that. The colors are warm and friendly and the staff is inviting. It feels magical in its own way. I can see why they moved locations into the bigger building. That whole area has got some interesting business development recently, and this is one of the "newer" businesses over here. The food isn't 100 percent, but they definitely cater to vegetarian lifestyle easily. My mom is celiac and likes their gluten free bread a lot.I think it's possible to do vegan, but there's nothing specifically vegan on the menu, which always kinds of bums me out cause you either have to compromise or make some kind of weird concoction from the menu. It's like that, you know? They do have oatmeal, which, ok, I guess you could do that vegan, I suppose. I'm not a big oatmeal person though. Maybe I'm just lacking imagination and complaining too much. They seemed pretty catering from what it seemed.I chose the French toast and hash browns the last time I was there, and it was extremely filling. They give you a lot of food.Would definitely eat there again though if for nothing else than the coffee (good solid coffee which the waitress keeps filled), the atmosphere, and the ability to ease into your morning with a full belly.Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian options, but they're not labeled as such.“

“This was my second time dining in at The Paisley Pig. Second visit was just as good as the first. The service is top notch and all of our needs were well attended to.Food is a little higher on the pricing tier, but fairly price because of it's quality and presentation. The atmosphere is dark and moody like your average pub. My only complaint or observation would be that space is at a premium, it's a little spartan when it's a full crowd.All-in-all, Paisley Pig is a great place to grab a bite with friends or family for good food in a great atmosphere. Just wish I had pictures to share. Guess I have to capture those on my next visit!Enjoy!“

“This is a nice place to eat breakfast and lunch. It's good homestyle food from a "mom and pop" type place. My favorite thing about this place is they grind their coffee beans right there for the freshest coffee. Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long during busy times which its uncommon, but when it is a long wait it's not to bad. I believe the owner works with the staff. The staff are nice and are nice to converse with. Overall, I'd eat there more frequently if I had the opportunity.“

“I couldn't have asked for a better spot for a first date than Stack's Chicago Style Eats! The cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering aroma set the perfect tone for getting to know each other over delicious deep-dish pizza and hearty Italian beef sandwiches. The attentive service and relaxed ambiance made for a memorable evening, and I can't wait to come back for another date night!“

“Came to checkout the rooftop bar. The vibe was good except the music choice was subpar. Something that creates a good ambiance would be nice. Took a minute to get a menu and waters but I get that they’re still working out the kinks. Overall super cute and some room for improvement:) will be coming back for sure!“

“So my buddy and I grabbed lunch at Sporty’s Bar and it was good. Living here for almost 50 years I had not been here before but knowing that Jim is managing/owner now I wanted to try it out. We had burgers, fries, and ice cold beers. Although they can’t cook the burger to order (I like medium rare), the burger was still juicy and not overcooked. Atmosphere was very nice, not what I expected. Cool bar and clean. Bartender was great too and other diners were pleasant.“

“I have been going to US 31 BBQ since I was a kid in the 1980s with my parents who ate there when they were younger. They always said the BBQs were always excellent, and the taste/recipe never changed. They are not the traditional BBQs with a red sauce but more of a shredded meat in natural juices topped with a delicious, signature relish. I grab a meal whenever I am near and always am happy. Classic and delicious.“

“We absolutely love coming here! Their Mexican food is the best - please try their homemade corn tortilla tacos and refried beans. Truly authentic. Everything we’ve tried is quality and their service is always top notch. Marty, the Head Chef even came out to introduce himself to us. The servers create the warm and welcoming experience and the culinary geniuses work behind the scenes to keep us coming back. And telling others!“

“What an unassuming place. From the outside, you would think it might be sketchy or scary inside. Like run down. Instead, you go inside and there is well lit and modern looking bar to an old-timey place. There's a wrap around bar. There's table seating. I've seen regulars and families in there. A juke box. Atm. Pool table. Video game machine. And fun signs on the walls. They have pub fare, good food. The wait staff has been great every time I've gone in. I really enjoyed meeting Amber on my last visit. I think it's a fun, affordable and inviting place to have meal and drinks. Totally casual. No dress code, other than wear clothes and footwear...lol It's almost five stars. But I give it four plus stars. Come check this place out! Cheers, Xiang“

“The food was quite tasty, especially the deep fried mushrooms. The service was good and the waitresses took good care of us. They were nice and friendly. There's plenty of parking. It's a "homely feeling" place. The price was ok as well. It was quite packed and busy when we went but that's to be expected at noon during the lunch hour, though it didn't last long.“
