“Ummmm the smash burgers and dill garlic fries are to DIE for! Photos don’t do them justice. We’re not known to travel more than just around the corner for a quick bite unless we plan on it, but this is worth the last minute 25-30 min drive from where we live. Delicious food. Great staff!“

The staff are very attentive to there customers they keep the coffee hot and coming and keep the smiles coming as well. “I've always been a fan of Carrots n' Dates, especially when I'm on a health food kick. Recently, the owners have done an overhaul of the restaurant and I am LOVING the staff. They're always attentive, helpful, and seem eager to learn the business. The food is always fresh and delicious. By far one of my favourite lunch picks while I'm busy working on my school work. We also ordered the Vegan Stuffed Pepper, but we will have to try it tomorrow for lunch...too full from the Detroit Stuffed Pepper! We also tried the lentil bean soup, very nice. And my wife enjoyed the Mango Tastic smoothie:-) We're happy to learn about the Detroit Pepper Company, and we'll be back. Highly recommended. He was super knowledgeable about the building history and the company history, and the distilling process. “Checked out Eastern Market Brewing Company tonight, and I get why people talk about this place. It’s right in the heart of Eastern Market and has a great lineup of beers — enough options for everyone, whether you’re into IPAs or just want something easy to drink .

I grabbed a flight so I could pretend I’m a beer expert. I’m not, but the dark beer was smoother than I expected and the lager was the kind of crisp you want after a long week. The space itself feels laid back — good seating, and you can still catch whatever game is on without feeling like you’re in a packed sports bar.

Service was friendly, crowd was chill, and it’s the kind of spot where you could make this your go-to without even trying. Detroit beer, no pressure, good energy.

I’ll definitely be back — and I’m officially adding breweries to the list of places I “review” now.“

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.“

There were 4 squares of squash, plenty of orzo and a bed of greens. The flavor with squash was great but there weren't many pieces of it to call that the flavor of the dish. It was more like cheesy orzo. The staff was great. I felt welcomed. I know the food here can be great, this time sorry.“

Warm service from a waitress who was quite busy but still managed to stay on top of things and refill coffee as needed. The restaurant itself was clean and quiet with a TV showing the local news.
