“😋This was the first time that I have eaten at River Rat. The food was sooo delicious!! My husband Larry and I had the Chicken Breast Montreal, I had coleslaw, and Chicken Noodle soup, and he had mashed potatoes, and green beans with his. His brother Mike, had the baked Walleye. The rolls were sooo yummy!! Many thanks to our waitress Tayler! She was so nice, and kind, and onpoint!! I give this rating a 5 Star!! We shall be back!“

“Went for an early dinner corn chowder was PUKE IN A BOWL ordered fish and chips to my surprise Chef is using low quality Pollock for high quality Cod talked to mgr and she had few profanities and hung up phone I have been a Chef for many years and detected this right off the bat don’t let them steal your money on low quality products 2pc $1799 and 3 pcs $20.99 they were 2oz pcs of fish!!? “We rolled up to a full house with guests waiting on their take out food. Somehow you knew it was food worthy waiting for. There was community amongst strangers in anticipation of being fed. The car ride home was plagued with the aroma of delicious food, making a 15 minute drive feel like an eternity. Once home, we grabbed forks and dug in like starved hostages. I briefly reminded myself to chew and savory the flavors and not just inhale the plate like a wild animal. Starving or not, the food was perfect! Broccoli to perfection, rice that soaked up the sauce, chicken juicy, salmon flaky and moist. Would order again!“

“Mediocre food at a hefty price. The filet I ordered was undercooked and due to being full from the clam chowder soup and bread, I didn't know until after I took it home. I fed the majority of it to my dog. The feedback I received from the owner was, "I bet the dog didn't complain." Suggestions: Train staff to have customers cut into their steak to make sure the temperature is accurate and cooked accordingly. (I regrettably should have done so anyways while I dined in) The owner definitely doesn't care about returning customers, but I will make sure to leave this review on multiple sites simply for the fact of how it was addressed with rude sarcasm. That in itself was more upsetting than the issue on hand. The owner is a bully and insults anyone who has a bad experience. I'll be contacting corporate to let them know after reading other reviews and experiences.“

It’s a great family-owned business with several locations across Michigan—including Livonia, Plymouth Township, St. Clair Shores, Plymouth, Clawson, Wixom, Dearborn, Hartland, Howell, West Bloomfield, Southfield, Northville, Ferndale, Woodhaven, and right here in Warren. Despite having multiple spots, it still maintains that cozy, welcoming feel.

The potatoes were delicious, and the coleslaw had just the right balance of flavors and texture. Even the rolls were soft and fresh, which really rounded out the meal. Tragically, I have a peanut allergy and absolutely love Chinese food. Sometimes I will go into a restaurant to ask if my allergy can be accommodated and the answer is no, which is fine! I appreciate the honesty! I was worried that might be the case here but it wasn't!

I ordered orange chicken (which is safe) and asked about the roast pork lo mein. The woman at the counter informed me that all their lo mein has peanut butter, BUT she could make it without if I wanted it. I was kind of surprised and was already prepared to order something else as a side just in case, but I took her up on the offer because I love lo mein!!! She noted my allergy on the receipt. Although I do not understand Chinese, I 100% know I heard her say something to the kitchen about an allergy/allergen as the food was being prepared.

Non-allergy related stuff: the food was delicious and the portions are generous. It was my first time having anything other than veggies in lo mein (I don't deviate my Chinese orders much due to food allergies) and I loved the pork in there! I am excited to have leftovers for the next few days! My boyfriend ordered General Tso's chicken and although we got it to go, he started eating it in the car before we drove off because it smelled so good lol.“

We picked from one of the choices of limited menus for our large group. We were seated in the most beautiful location. Service was perfection my family is still talking about how good the food was.
