“What a great place to visit! A really nice bar and grill located near the heart of Highland Park! I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and we had a ball! The food was fantastic, the service is unmatched and the music was great! I'm definitely making another visit in the very near “

“My friends and I decided there’s no better way to spend St. Paddy's day weekend in downtown Detroit than a ride on the pedal bike. We were so right and had the best time! Omar was our driver and he was great! He had some fun drinking games for us to play on our ride and overall brought an awesome energy to the experience. He was also our photographer at all our stops!“
“I was looking for a new BBQ place. I ordered a carryout of the ribs and burnt ends. Not disappointed. The ribs fell off the bone and the tips were very tasty. Nice portions for the price. Looking forward to going back to try out the drinks.“
“Friendly staff. Good selection of tasty sliders, each sold separately so you can try a variety. Average 4 sliders per adult. Fries were fabulous. As you're eating you'll find that you will add a couple more sliders to your tab before you ask to cash out. Beer was cold. Back patio with a bar in case there's a wait. Weekends are very busy, but worth the slider experience.“
“I just have to GUSH about my experience with Time Will Tell! I recently held a Birthday Party there, and it was everything I had hoped for and more! From the jump, Jake, who I worked with to plan, was flexible, helpful, and communicative. They allowed me to bring in approved catering, my own sound, and even a drag queen! Everyone loved the cocktails and mocktails, as well as the picture perfect aesthetics. I also cannot give enough kudos to the staff! They were super attentive to everyone and helpful to mostly first-time visitors. Cannot recommend enough for a drink or special event!“
“Popped into this cute little spot and was amazed. There is something for everyone on this menu from an extensive list of Belgian beers to an excellent list of classic and inventive cocktails and even an interesting wine list so grab your buds and come check it out. Also, I have to go back and check out their sourdough pizza which I have heard is fabulous. It doesn't happen until after six.“
“Brought some friends here after seeing the Oscar Shorts at DIA. It was their first time and they were delighted. The menu is so different and the food so good, we ended up over ordering because there were so many things to try. Small plates make it easy to try things. And the cocktails are particular creative and delicious. Visually, it's such fun and the vibe is warm and friendly. I've been here for brunch, too, which is delicious.“
“This place has a cool atmosphere and good vibes. The food is great and there’s many choices to pick from. I really enjoy the unique Thai Classics at Bangkok 96 and the fresh made ice cream that they have. Staff is super awesome and very friendly. this place will be the spot to be at in the summertime months, enjoying both the inside and outside atmosphere“
“I haven't been out in a while so my daughter recommended this place I I went in a I paid 100dollars for a couple of tables! I was later approached bye a young lady and was told we had to spend at least 200 dollars for drinks and we were only at 80 dollars! Then I was told! She thought we booked online! I felt really uncomfortable! But I loved the loved the Live band !“
“Exceptional, one of my favorite places in the world.Already on the outside there is a 'wow effect'...but what about the inside? This place not only immerses us in a sumptuous era but also brings a special atmosphere. The service is exceptional. The prices are absolutely fair, and it's great.“
“Wow! Staying at a hotel a couple of bocks away so we decided to try it here for dinner, and we were NOT disappointed! Marvin was great, and the food was absolutely delicious! Chicken parm was HUGE (took half to go) and was seasoned perfectly. Hubby had the gnocchi with sausage and said it was FABULOUS! We both added a salad to our meals, house salad for me and Caesar for him. Had the Arancini for an appetizer, and it was soooo good! Order a pomegranate blueberry mule, and you will thank me!Parking: There is a large paid lot right across the street that is really inexpensive (75 cents an hour)“
“Buddy's pizza is definitely at the top of Detroit style pizza. It's not overly thick and has great flavor throughout. The toppings are fresh and they let you do half and half in their large ones. The special seasoned sauce really seals the deal on the pizza and is free to add as a substitute for their original sauce. The wings were okay, but really small for the price. Probably wouldn't order those again. OThe waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and definitely helped us make informed decisions about the pizza. I would definitely recommend Buddy's and will eat there again.“
“The chef's tasting menu is where it's at. There are some staples we look forward to but there's always delicious surprises too.Vegetarian options: I've only ever done the chef's menu which is selected for you. It means things come that are off the menu which adds more variety than what's listed.“
“Phenomenal experience all around! The food is excellent- we had a smattering of everything and loved every bite. Our server Shelby truly made our night out a memorable one! She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The trifecta you look for when dining out. ❤️❤️❤️We are not from here, but will be back on our next visit. Cannot recommend enough!“
“We went on a night that they had live local music. What fun!! A true dive bar, which is my favorite! Space is tight inside and every shot on the pool table is a trick shot! There's a beautiful black cat that roams the property. The outside area is spacious and full of seating, including lots of porch swings. Booze is reasonably priced.“
“OMG Dave and Amelia are the best mixologist duo. Hubby and I came across Two Birds on google and were impressed with the reviews and photos. Our first visit was nothing short of amazing filled with luxurious and herbaceous cocktails. The atmosphere and vibes in Two Birds was very refreshing. Mature crowd, great music, tasty drinks. We will definitely be coming back as regulars to this establishment. Cheers and Happy Holidays!Tasha & Chad“
“This is a great spot for a quick drink and bite before dinner. They have NA drink options for those trying to stay clear from booze, but that still want to sip on a nicely crafted cocktail. The staff is very friendly and will definitely make sure you get exactly what you want.“
“They had two N/A cocktails, one N/A beer, and several sparkling water options! I would recommend the High Vibrations N/A cocktail, very gingery and great for sipping while still being delicious. The Phone Negroni is a bottle N/A cocktail that I've seen at other places, it is tasty, but you're missing out a bit on the cocktail-being-made-in-front-of-you experience. Thanks for having great N/A options!“
“Really cute bar with incredible service. I stopped here on a visit from out of town and I really liked the vibe. Steve was our bartender and he was one of my favorite parts of visiting- really welcoming and enjoyable conversation. I'm unsure if there is food since I stopped in late but the bar was full service and the people were great“
“Never missed a St. Patty's Day Celebration yet. Going on 20 years. On the Historic Registry. Live music on the weekends. Friendly people all around. Every now and then, you'll see the original owner Nancy having a drink with old friends. Great history, great city and sports.Parking: Now owned by Steven's Family and doing a great job.“
“Took wife for a late Birthday celebration. Front of house host were "meh". Not very welcoming to us or others that I observed as well. Our server was decent. Other servers were vibrant and engaged with their tables. Being that my wife handed her a printout for her birthday, she didn't receive it nor anything else that may have pertained to the simple fact that this dinner was her celebration. Will we return? Possibly. If so, no time too soon.“
“Stopped in after a wonderful concert at Orchestra Hall. #herbiehancockOur seats were delightful. Inviting and cleanly. Our food was fabulous. The atmosphere lively. The front hostess was friendly and accommodating. And last but not least there was our server Peyton! He's the man. Polite and transparent. Great communication and knowledge of the brand. So friendly and a delightful personality.Bob and Terri say go in and ask for Peyton. He's our man. Thank you for making our experience a fabulous one. Now on our Detroit faves list of places to have a bite, relax and to enjoy the city.“
“Hands down, the best pizza in town, like they say. I work around the area, and once a week i have my personal 10" pizza. Its just so delicious, the melted hot cheese is fantastic. Amazing!!!Parking: Parking in the back, plenty of space.“
“If you're into the extreme music scene you already know about The Sanctuary. For those looking for a cool spot to catch a club-size concert in the Detroit area, this is an excellent venue. They've done a fantastic job updating the whole facility inside and out. Great bar staff and they offer Liquid Death (non-alcoloic beverage) which is a big plus for me personally. The Sanctuary books tons of killer bands, so keep a close eye on their event calendar.Parking in Hamtramck is a nightmare everywhere, so just plan on that being a headache, but that's not on the venue. That's just part of venturing into that side of town.“
“We strongly recommend you try Buddy's Pizza if you haven't had the chance yet. Especially, the gluten-free Pizza crust so soft and yummy! We received prompt and friendly service from beginning to the end of our dinning experience. Martez, our server was a blast and a huge part of our fantastic time there. John from the kitchen helped us out with making formative decisions to meet my childs' dietary health needs. We were a party of 9 but treated like a party of 2 with the efficient, quick and fabulous service. Now if you can open a location in Toronto, Canada tgat would be greatly appreciated. We have a huge community that us missing out on your service and that Amazing gluten-free pizza crust. People are missing out.“
“Great place to visit! Lot of variety. Drinks were pretty good. We didn't eat here, but they do have a small menu. Dwayne and Sam were great are instructors and keep us safely in gaged and havin fun! We will definitely return! #detroitaxe “
“I've been here twice and both times were so fun. I found the bartenders to be a delight. Our last bartender was knowledgeable about cocktails and made us things not on their menu. It is small but that's part of the charm. The lobby of the hotel is also a cool vibe so when people complain about sitting out there,I don't get it. I would only be annoyed being a hotel guest and NOT being able to sit in the lobby. The drinks aren't cheap but it's for sure a fun stop.“
“Food was delicious. Highly recommend the three buds to start (fire roasted elote queso and Mexican corn dip were amazing) and the glazed orange taco. Jacob was our server, he was very attentive, friendly and made the whole experience better!“
“Perfect dinner at Hazel's. Ate at the bar, where Heather is a wonderful and engaging bartender-server! Cocktail was well-made, the Rockfish was perfect, the potatoes were amazing! Service was top notch. Couldn't have been happier to choose this spot for a late dinner!!“
“One of the best bars I have been too, very friendly and lively.-Atmosphere-Is very cool, wide open, has lots of games like darts and uses higher tech with QR code menus that I love.-Service-Was the best part, the bartender was pleasant and upbeat and really knew what she was doing! She didn’t leave out any detail and made very high end cocktails with flair, speed, accuracy, and didn’t pinch on the spirits. Loved the experience!-Food-Food was coming out hot and fresh and I heard a few compliments so it must have been good, although I didn’t order I was waiting for my reservation across the street, they did well!Place has police officer security and feels very safe and lively.4.2/5 flames would definitely recommend and will be back again!“
“Love this place! The service is a 4 because the past two times I have been here it took forever to get drinks (both the first and second round) - folks were friendly so they may just be short staffed. Drinks are always on point and the snacks are just the right size!“
“"Absolutely loved my dining experience at this newly renovated restaurant! The atmosphere was fantastic for a cozy dinner, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The staff were attentive and the food was delicious. Will definitely be returning!"“
“Stayed at the Siren for a week....went to Paramita almost every night, as it's directly beside the hotel. Echoing what others have already said, very chill space...great staff, great tunes, and a really well-curated selection of wine, beer and vinyl. I walked away with three albums, one of which is Fela's Zombie album. It was just so cool to pop down there at like 11pm and have a beer and listen to a live DJ. Really good spot.“
“Didn't eat anything so I can't rate it but had a couple of drinks which are pricey I ended up paying $30 for 2 drinks which $5 of that was a tip. 2 drinks should never cost $25 regardless of what event is going on. Lots of steps going from the entrance to the bar to the restroom and so on but I liked the feel of the place., when it's closing time it's closing time they want you out and doors closed by 11. All in all it's a good place to check out.“
“Saw a couple bands here from big ones like fleshgod apocalypse to small local bands and where the stage is and sound set up is solid for what it is. It's not a small place despite the name. They have it separate where you can chill in a back section away from the music and Chat with friends and drink. Overall this is a dope place.“
“No food menu other than a soup of the day made by the barmaids mother. Whatever she feels like cooking, the day we visited is split pea, and not a fan of peas, this was loaded with chunks of ham and potatoes. Very stick to your ribs soup. A shot and a beer rounded out the “meal” the bartender was super friendly even had us sign her up”out of towners” book as we were from Alabama. When you search dive bar this is a go too place. Don’t let the doorbell deter you, or the seedy neighborhood. Stop in and see the “Oldest Bar in Detroit”“
“Great food, friendly staff and the perfect place to see a show! Very intimate setting and we love the history as well!Service would have been a 5 but we got the one server that seemed to go not want to be there and go MIA often. The bartender and hostess plus all other servers were 5 stars!“
“My absolute favorite local bar. Not only are their burgers top notch and cooked to order, the bartenders are personable with excellent drink making abilities. Prices are great, there a jukebox, shuffleboard and vibe is nice, what more could you ask for in a dive bar.“
“Detroit Blues Cafe is not just a bar- it's an experience! The best lounge in Detroit. Grown folk Thursday's is my night, have to get there early if you want a seat.To walk into a bar and get instantly greeted with a smile and a cocktail that breathes sophistication is a moment that should be savored.I highly recommend this business. The vibe, the atmosphere, the amazing music, excellent food, the ballroom dancing, and the well-dressed men are some of the highlights. The service is at an exceptional level of professionalism from the wait staff, and cooks, to the security team, consistently. The manager, Amber, is my no-nonsense girl, I just love her!The ambience here is always inviting and comfortable. It's always a treat!“
“The service here is just OUTSTANDING. We didn't go a minute without water in our glasses, all the way to the top, ALL THE TIME.The place itself is pretty hip and alive.... very unique. The vibe is really good. Lots of fun!I wish I remembered our waitress name because she is worth mentioning. Hats off to her!The drinks were nice and tasty! Pretty too!The Carne y Hueso (Bone Marrow) was Super delicious.... and the Beef Tartare that comes with it was extra YUMMY.I will pass on the Burrata next time. It was good, but not to die for. Now, the BIFE was on point, and we will go back for it. The same goes with the Duck.... delicious. Both are a MUST.We weren't super impressed with the Porterhouse. The Bife might be the winner when it comes to steak. The Peruvian Potatoes and the Roasted Cauliflower are a MUST.... very tasty and perfect textures. These are enough to share. And the Burnt Alaska was fun and good if you feel like having dessert. I would recommend to at least try it once, but I will probably skip it in the future..... only because we were plenty satisfied with the meal prior to dessert. As far as drinks go.... the Alma Gemela is just perfect.... very well balanced. We will definitely be back!Parking: If you give yourself some extra time, you will find parking.... but the lot is really small and the street parking is always busy.“
“Five15 is the best drag bar/restaurant in metro Detroit. Ask for Cookie or Brian to be your server, they are exceptional. If you are a fan of the TV show RuPaul's Drag Race, this is the place to go in metro Detroit. They book many of the drag queen contestants to perform in their Brunch shows.Parking: Parking in Royal Oak is free on Sundays and holidays. On all other days you have to pay from 11am-midnight. I'd recommend the Parking garages, as they let you park for the first two hours for free before having to pay.“
“We had a great experience at Twin Peaks. Our servers were attentive without being overbearing. Great beer selection. I had wings that were excellent. Dry rub and sauce available. I wish I could remember the servers names, but they were fun natured.“
“The place is just as good as it should’ve always been and betterThe burger was excellentThe new owners are very ?? niceGreat place to have a cold one day or nightBackyard rulesPinball is coolPool tableYou could take your gf or mistress /hairdresserGreat selection of spirits and brewskisThis is my top 4 favorite bars inMetro Detroit-Menjos guy“
“I ordered take out and our food was delicious. The background music was just right while I waited for our food. When I first arrived, I was a little hesitant but the staff that waited on me was very pleasant and again the food was delicious.“
“You guys know how to throw a party!! Had an awesome time at the 80/90s night, stellar service with such a welcoming staff, delicious food and drinks. DJ Gabriel kept us up dancing and singing kareoke all night. Thank you so much for hosting my bday. BEST NIGHT “
“Very welcoming comfortable atmosphere excellent service Best buy I've been to in a long time. They have restaurant quality food. Great drinks. Jamie Brittany Kayla Stacy And Nicole always make sure did everyone has an excellent time. The barbacks make sure the restaurant is clean and the glasses are good. The cooks in the back make excellent food.“
“Try the sonorans. Sounds weird but they’re so good. I get mine with their trio salsa sampler and a jalapeño marg—ask for tajin on the rim.One negative—at the bar they have a photo of the Virgin Mary that opens up to Johnny Cash (if I remember correctly, might be someone else) flipping the bird. Just kind of crass for kids, especially if you’re Catholic.Parking: Park in lot behind the restaurant“
“This is the second time I've been to this bar, both times for live music being played there. The only issue I see for it as a venue is that the stage is just as dark as the rest of the bar. They do have a nice selection of whiskey and tequila, the bathrooms are unisex and clean, and they have cute outdoor area out back, through the pea gravel isn't the best for standing.“
“This place is EVERYTHING!We popped in last minute on a Sunday morning after leaving an Airbnb nearby. Right from the beginning the atmosphere was on point with great music through an even better sound system! We were greeted right away with warm welcomes as if we were regulars. Our waitress was amazing and attentive- and upon learning it was my bday she went ABOVE AND BEYOND with captain crunch shots that were amazing, a glass of champagne, and a birthday goody bag! I couldn’t believe it.When our food came out, the ladies who prepared it came out too and told us all about what our dishes included, and we had a great convo! We learned that during the day it’s all woman ran (which we LOVE) and let me tell you- the food was INCREDIBLE! They really threw down. I ordered an omelette with vegan sausage, onion and peppers w/ cheddar and home fries on the side. The portion size was are and the food was absolutely to die for! For breakfast dessert we had the banana pudding pancakes and EVERYONE got in for bites as it was incredible and melted in your mouth with amazing, fresh flavor! You could tell the love these ladies poured into the food! All in all- I will be coming back to the city even if it’s JUST TO GO TO WOODWARD BISTRO! This place is a MUST every dang time!“
