“I ended up here on a work event. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup with the carnivore pizza. The pizza was fantastic. The soup was half of vegetables which I found unusual. The service was fantastic as well as the pizza, pass on the soup.“

“Very fancy and expensive restaurant. One of the few restaurants in metro Detroit (and likely the whole of Michigan) that serves Baked Alaska. They do not flame it in front of you nor does it come with sparklers like some restaurants may do. Still it was delicious. Jamie was a great waitress, friendly and in a good mood. There is no parking lot for Forrest, however after 5:30 pm and on weekends you can use the AAA Birmingham parking lot which is right next door. Very nice interior. The water glasses are small. There is a candle at the table.“

“We sat in a room off to the side so it was quieter to sit and chat. Service was good. The wine list is decent. The food was excellent. The lamb shank was super tasty, very tender and huge! “Last night my family and myself went to Grand Tavern for supper after a long day. Our waiter Xhorxh was absolutely amazing! Personally, I have dietary restrictions and explained to him that I am unable to have gluten, dairy, or egg. I had already pre-creeped the menu before arriving so I could find a meal that would be easy to hopefully adapt to my dietary restrictions. After explaining my restrictions Xhorxh was ON IT! He immediately spoke to the chef and the chef adapted my meal to my restrictions. Xhorxh did tell me that there could be a possible cross contamination with gluten on one of my sides and explained that they couldn’t guarantee that that one thing would be gluten free. Listen, not very often in the service industry do you come across a wait staff member or chef that made sure to cross all of the boxes. I ordered brussel sprouts as the appetizer without the cheese (I could have had three plates of that it was so good) and the cedar plank salmon and ordered two veggies as my side. IT was DELISH!!!!! Xhorxh also made sure that our drinks were constantly filled and took amazing care of our family. My MIL even made a comment after we received our meals how she really liked him as a waiter. I wished we had a Grand Tavern where we lived but unfortunately we are 8 hours away but we will absolutely be back when visiting family! ❤️“

“We dined for Sunday brunch for an intimate birthday celebration. Although nothing was provided for the birthday person, our meal was delicious, and the ambiance was very nice. The only issue was with there being so few diners, the service was still very slow. But again, the food was amazing, so we would go back again.“

If you don't like red meat, I think the ``Slow Roasted Prime Rib'' is extremely delicious as it is tender, has a concentrated lean flavor, and has just the right amount of fat. Personally, I like it when I choose a baked potato as an accompaniment because it neutralizes the meatiness.“
