“Great experience with ordering takeout. We normally would dine in but had to get home after running some errands, so we ordered online. Everything was perfectly prepared and packaged well for the drive. All the extras were there in abundance: butter and sour cream for the baked potato, dressing for the salad, lemon wedges for the salmon, and of course, BISCUITS! Our meals were both delicious. Great job, Team Kentwood!“

“Had an early dinner. We were dressed extremely casual but were treated like celebrities. The food was spot on as the blueberry brie, brussel sprouts, filet mignon, crab & shrimp saffron risotto and pretzel crusted walleye were exceptional. The staff took care of us like family. Our sweet waitress even made a list of places we needed to visit in West Michigan. Our maître d' made us feel welcome and returned often to be sure we remained that way. Overall we couldn’t have had a better dinner. Thanks and kudos y’all.“

“I have to say at first I was skeptical. They were having quite a night and were over seated for our reservation, but Sierra was fantastic and made sure we got our seats as fast as she could, and even came back to check on us several times and was very friendly. Brett, our server, went above and beyond, was super busy, but made sure to take good care of us! I’d definitely go back just because of these two! Great food was the bonus! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant. I had a stuffed sea bass entree which was delicious. Not the best I've ever had, but still very good. My wife had the fish and chips, which is lower brow for this restaurant, but she said it was outstanding. There was one odd thing that my wife pointed out. It was the bathrooms. She used the facilities and found that the hook to hang her purse or a coat on the door was so high she couldn't reach it. Just a heads up for you ladies out there. Overall a great dining experience.“

“There's a reason this fishy joint has been popular for decades. And it starts with the food. And then you throw in staff who are welcoming, attentive, accommodating and enjoy the customer experience a great interaction and product, you have a recipe (no pun intended - but it sure looks that way) for a business that will stand for decades. I'd bet on being just the same if I stopped in after 40 years. Same great food. Same great staff. Same great Fat Man's Fish Fry.“

“This is authentic Louisiana boil. If you prefer fin to she'll they have the dish for you. You can make it hot or Not. They have crab in shell and everything is customizable. During the pandemic everything is served on leek proof containers and food is still hot when you get home. There is nothing fancy here served as out would be on the beach. They have generous portions for the price. This little place is a must try.“

“So for a place that doesn’t seem to advertise, a small spot thats attached to a grocery store, several other restaurants and in a neighborhood with many other options, I was glad to have stopped in. Service was friendly and quick, so many options but my group settled on several different options. Everything was delicious, rich, flavorful and what seems very fresh. This could be my new spot for Pho or a soup day meal. The rice and shrimp were cooked well. Great place to stop and try if you like Vietnamese.“

“CLK overall was an amazing environment and very family oriented. I would like to give a huge shout out to the manager from last night, I came in believing I had a reservations because I was celebrating my bday but also doing a gender reveal that was done Feb 13th for March 1st but it wasn’t in there system. Instead of turning me around her and some of staff maneuvered and make things work in my favor. The server we had started out great but then became a little rude and I don’t know if it was because of my party downsizing or what but the attitude changed. She started reaching over ppl not saying excuse me so I became a little irritated on my special day. I really wanted to experience more of the food but the way things went it just changed the whole energy for me. But everything wasn’t bad and like I said I truly appreciate the amazing manager from last night and I was told that the bartender that made the drinks was superb!!!! Thank you“

“Cada vez que vamos Tardan demasiado. Un señor se canso de esperar y se fue. La mesera que nos llevo la comida no fue tan agradable y después que te llevan la comida no Checan si necesitas algo mas. Uno de los meseros estaba juguetando con otra mesera. No es el lugar. Si es playas Nayaritas debería de haber mas variedad de Musica solo regueton ponian y eso enfada pues la musica deveria ser para los clientes no para los empleados. Las papas deverian de ir arriba del molcajete para que no se aguaden. Los tostones estaban casi quemado. No se disfrutan. Ya van varias veces que voy a este lugar y si deja mucho que desear. “I have been coming here for years. In my opinion, best Chinese food and prices on the west side of GR and Walker/Standale. I have never been unhappy with a meal here. Nice people too! The dining room is small and you eat out of styrofoam and plastic utensils, that's true. But this is mostly a take out place, not a true dine in place.“

Awesome, small, tucked away gem that your friends will want to know about.
Great food. Fresh veggies. Great prices. The filled buns are a freaking awesome meal by themselves but not on the menu.

English maybe worse than mine, but be patient and understanding. It's well worth the effort.

But I've ordered Chinese food from restaurants that cost twice as much, and tasted the same or worse. I was bummed that China Garden didn't have teriyaki chicken. But their BBQ chicken (I just like saying "chicken on a stick") is so crispy in a good way, that I want all my "chicken on a stick" to be like theirs! Also, they were open in a massive, everyone shut down everything, snow storm. So, I'll drive out of my way to go here.“

“We usually go to the LJS near our home but were out on the other end of town. We were met by a lady named Andrea, whom I believe was the manager. She flashed us a big smile with a hearty “welcome”. The place was so clean, and bright. Food prepared by Dave was crispy and delicious. Just a shout out to them both! We visited the LJS out on 28th street Grand Rapids, MI.
