“The food is very good and fresh. I've not had everything yet, but I'm working on it. I love falafel and usually make it myself. It's good to be able to go somewhere to get it when I don't feel like making it. The only issue I have with the bowls is that the onion cuts are inconsistent. It might seem insignificant, but it really does affect how the whole dish tastes. One bite may have a nice small - medium diced piece of onion and the next night have a huge 4inch piece. That burn of a large piece of raw onion is unpleasant, at least for me. I like onions, but may have to opt to delete them from my bowls and maybe add my own.

The other thing that could use improvement is their pick up window. Each time I've visited, there is a long line of people waiting for their orders. When I approached the pick up counter today, there were about 8 people ahead of me waiting, order was sitting on the counter with approximately 6-7 other completed orders. I felt kinda bad going ahead of everyone else, but I had received a text that my online order was ready. I had ordered from work. Though it looked as if I was cutting in line, I wasn't, and our didn't make sense for me to wait behind the 8 people in front of me who were still waiting and let my food get cold.

I pray that this process is more streamlined soon. I give them grace because they're new and may not have anticipated the demand, but a larger pick up area will help them and their customers.“

“At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. You won’t be a “just another customer” ~~ You’ll be a FRIEND!“

“Dined-in, excellent food at this small restaurant with a few high tables. Split the chicken shawarma plate with veggies with my husband, also ordered hommus and meat grape leaves. Everything was great, fresh and evidently made with skill and love. My fave veg was the pickled cabbage. The grape leaves stuffing wasn't my the best ever, but the leaves themselves certainly were. The texture and size were amazing. My husband really liked the sauce they put on the grape leaves, for him, these were the best tasting he's had. Plenty of pita bread to scoop up the hommus. Right temperatures for all the food. A family owns, cooks and staffs the place and they made us feel welcomed and treated us royally. “I had a large order scheduled, and I could tell when I went in that they were slammed with customers. The manager was hyping his employees up and telling them they were rockstars for handling the pressure. My food was just a few minutes late, but I could tell they were triple checking my order to make sure I got everything. In a stressful moment like that, you could expect the order to be messed up, but they wanted to make sure that didn’t happen. They were very apologetic of the slight delay, which was unnecessary but appreciated. I was impressed with the teamwork and the manager’s kindness to me and his employees. “Just tried your new Ft Wayne location yesterday. Having lived in Saudi Arabia for years, your food is as close to legit as I have found since moving back to the USA!! The chicken Schwarma and tabouli were soooo good!! The falafel was the best I have ever had!!! The pita bread was excellent that the Schwarma was made with!!! “I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.“

“My son had Princess cater his grad party and it was excellent! Everyone was raving about the food and asked where we got it. Kenny was so helpful to setup my order and i had 2 servers for the day.
