“Only carryout ever since the pandemic, but the food is as good as always. The egg rolls have bean sprouts which is great, unlike some places that use cabbage. The fried shrimp is excellent, as is the vegetarian egg foo young. My son also recommends the chicken lo mein.“

“We ordered the casserole dishes: Vegetable & Tofu Rice Noodles and Shredded Chicken Rice Noodles.
For appetizers, we had the Spicy Fried Potato.
We asked for everything to be extra hot, and the spice level was just right, bold but not overwhelming.
The flavors were well-balanced, and the noodles were cooked to perfection.
Portions were generous too, I even had enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

Total cost: $49 for two.

“The Dearborn, Michigan, restaurant has been a longtime fixture in our community, with employee longevity guaranteeing great service and consistent taste. On this visit, I had the signature lettuce wraps, which were plentiful and tasty. The pork egg rolls were still hot when they arrived at the table, and the dipping sauce had a bit of a horseradish-y tang to it. My chicken fried rice entree was large and had great flavor, and all three dishes were fresh. Dan, the manager, came to my table to check on our order and he was most gracious and friendly. I'll be back again soon.

Dietary restrictions: Most of the menu is halal, which is important in the Dearborn, Michigan, market.“

“We have dined for breakfast on various occasions. The tastes of the foods was amazing. The presentation of the plates was breath taking, absolutely beautiful. The only shortfall we found in the restaurant was the BLINDING sun on the East side windows. A good set of adjustable blinds would be a welcomed addition on those East side windows. All in all, the food was so good and so hot, the presentation was beautifully displayed and the staff were friendly and well experienced. We will come back and recommend restaurant to others.“

“Do not let the looks of this establishment fool you. The food is incredible. The inside looks like a restaurant but im unsure if they seat anyone. All the lights were off in the dining area and one section was full of boxes. The gentleman working the front desk / phones was very nice and helpful. I got the almond chicken dinner and was it packed with flavor! They also give you a huge portion of fried rice and chicken...enough to feed 2 people. I highly recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area...this might be my new go to Chinese spot.“

“This place has excellent Chinese food you can tell because their phone never stops ringing there’s always people coming and going and I usually have to wait 25 to 30 minutes to get my food which is unusual for Chinese restaurants seeing how it seems like they’re always five minutes long and you can get whatever you want, but if they have good food, you’ll have to wait, which is normally not a problem it’s worth“

“Their food is very good place used to be around on Michigan avenue they close for a while after the grandparents passed. But the grandchildren open it back up using the same recipes in the food and quality is just the same. Smaller building there for less or lack of an atmosphere but the service is excellent and so is the food quick service too. Usually a little bit of a wait but that's just cuz they're busy because their quality is so good

“I have eaten here several times over the last few years, the food is always fresh, hot, and the portions are HUGE. The place is a "mom and pop". it's ran by the owners, a husband-and-wife team. Because it's just the two of them when it gets busy it takes them awhile to answer the phone and there could be as much as a 30–45-minute wait for your food. It's also carry out only. If you don't mind the no dine in option or the wait, this will probably be one of the best Chinese food places you have eaten at in the downriver area.“

“I have been a customer and have enjoyed delicious meals since it opened in 1985. We had moved away 20 years ago and whenever we came back to visit we would try to go to Shin Shin whenever possible. Staff have always been very friendly and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed in a meal. Last night my husband and I had a dinner date there. We were not disappointed. “I've been going here since I was a kid, I am 28 now. The food is cooked very well, not too salty. The almond chicken is my favorite, but the noodles and other dishes are fantastic also. They have the best jumbo egg rolls compared to any other restaurant. Try the Hot and Sour soup!“

Went back there because the only place that I had found where I live now, and the Chinese food was really good, closed down shortly after covid. “I’ve been trying to find good Chinese food for a few years now. I live downtown on Jefferson and I don’t like the 2 located near Belle Isle.

I only ordered shrimp fried rice because I didn’t want to be disappointed.

My fried rice was perfect. The rice was a tad bit chewy but it had a great flavor which tells me it was made in a well seasoned wok. The shrimp actually had a little flavor to them. Most places the shrimp just taste boiled. I love egg foo young so I’ll be back to try that next time“

“Best Chinese food around and I truly mean that. Tried every Chinese restaurant within a 30 mile radius and absolutely none of them compare to Kwans. Not to mention they have never gotten my order wrong which is truly crazy. Iv probably placed over 1k orders over the 20 years iv been coming here and never even forgota sweet and sour. Surprised when eating inside no plates or silverware. Everything brought out in to go containers that's okay. Absolutely fantastic Delicious Scallion Pancakes not found in many places. The quart of Spot packed full was good except broth zero flavor like water. Chicken Egg Foo Young nothing like ever had weird crunchy patties with very small amount of gravy. The very good Rice and a mega amount. Egg Roll spot on Wonderful. The bad absolutely worse ever Pupu Platter Chicken Wings dry, Crab Rangoon Yuk, Shrimp heavy batter couldn't taste Shrimp. Ribs just ok, Spring Rolls a winner and what they call Teriyaki Beef I know as Balamaki was great. I'm willing to give them another chance to change my 3 star rating. Great effort by cook just not up to par with dozen other Chinese restaurants in the area.“

“I just want to know why it's so hard to give customers duck sauce. 🤔 I asked for extra duck sauce (come to find out there wasn't any in bag at all). I even offered to pay for it because I don't care for soy sauce. I got a total of three packs. This has happened so many times I just need to find another restaurant.“

“The RED SUN restaurant in LaSalle was acquired by the same family that owns DAN DAN Restaurant on Walker Road, and they are wonderful. The food is excellent, and they are honest and very hardworking. We love their dishes, and I'm very happy to have them here in LaSalle. I highly recommend the restaurant. Definitely five stars.“

This place brings dishonor to Asian American establishments of all kinds. I've never had bad shrimp fried rice till now HOW do you even accomplish that? Make the rice, cook the shrimp, mix them. They could. not. have packed anymore into the containers at. all. I tried a little bit of everything and all if it is flavorful and delicious without salt being the main ingredient. I had meant to take pictures before diving in but as soon as I opened them up and the aroma of fresh hot food registered I completely forgot. This is my new go to for Chinese hands down. “The lady who takes orders is so nice and speaks Spanish as well, I remember I came in there with my dad to order and she gave me a free piece of chicken while I waited for my food. I came here to order again with my dad and she gave us a free coke with our order she was so nice, the food also taste so good and they dont take long to make your order, 10/10“
