“Buddy's Who? What they lack in overall restaurant space. They make it up with EXCELLENT engaging customer service. Fresh ingredients and great food. I've been three times they've hit the mall each time. When you stay open until you sell out, you've got a winner. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures from anticipation. We had the waffle fries, roasted carrots with goat cheese, hot wings and two different pizzas.I don't eat pork, so having a beef pepperoni option was clutch! Everything was delicious, the roasted carrots were a present surprise. Our servers were extra attentive and helpful.“

“Mackenzie's Tavern is a wonderful local drinking and dining experience with something for everyone. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient in their service. The tavern has a very extensive seafood menu towards the end of the week like Thursday and Friday and sometimes Wednesdays. The rest of the time the tavern has a very good bar food type menu featuring Burger or some such. The only day that the kitchen is not open is Sundays when you can bring in your own food or have it delivered. The tavern has a breakfast service that goes from opening till around lunch time and the omelettes are huge and fill you up. You can watch most local sports there and the tavern features an 85-in TV that is surprisingly large for the size of the tavern.“

It is still nice to visit and see the old dance floor, pool table and beautiful bar maid. People are friendly, you can go against some really good pool players, and if you like dancing come through. “Came here for my Wife’s Birthday and it was an amazing experience. Waitress and staff were extremely nice and friendly. They made my wife’s birthday feel extra special for her. The food was absolutely spectacular. We had gotten the Brisket Quesadilla and Turkey Sando as our main dishes. We had then gotten the Honk Kong French Toast as a dessert and it was all easily 5/5’s. Everything was delicious and made and cooked perfectly. Plenty of food for the price and amazing value and absolutely delicious. We’d easily recommend this place to anyone!“

“I planned ahead and made a reservation in advance on 12/3 for Thursday 12/18 at 745pm for 3 people at The Viridian Room. We specifically made this reservation through their Instagram/Resy. My two friends and I show up, and not only is the Viridian Room closed, but so is French Toast, despite their hours stating the close at 9pm. I tried calling to no avail, and ended up going to another Clawson bar, Local, instead. We were so excited to try this place and extremely disappointed we were not able to attend. Attached below is the confirmation of my reservation.

Edit 1/16/26: The manager had reached out to me via text and was kind and apologetic. She offered to reschedule the reservation and provide a free appetizer. My friends and I went back last night and had wonderful drinks and a snack! The bartenders were very kind and prompt. We will definitely go back. Thank you for making things right!“

The fish, not so much. We felt that the ingredient to sauce ratio was off. There was not a lot of protein in any of the dishes. The naan was good too. “The food is great but not halal. Service is on point and didn't miss a step. Seatting is first come first served. Can see about 14 small round tables not including the bar seats. The vibe is chill and is a great place for a low cost but high atmosphere date night. Not great on street parking so it's best to get here early if you wanna a spot.“

“There's a thing about eastern market. It's alive during the day during market hours and then, it gets quiet. Pocket change was exactly what we were looking for to keep the vibes going! Just on the outskirts of downtown in eastern market. This little high end dive bar keeps dancing. Weekend DJ's and one of the only rooftop bars in the area. The incredible ambiance on the second floor feels like a hidden oasis of what seems to be the biggest spin and twirl of eastern market. I went with a few friends to celebrate a birthday to only feel like we were dancing the night away with the locals of the community. Great cocktails, incredible bar staff.. just ask for a spagett, and you'll feel like one of the locals!

“I had a pleasant experience with this place. All of the food seemed fresh, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is very vibrant.

The 2 times in which I went, our group sat outside, being that it was summer. They had trivia, which I assume is every Wednesday.

As for food, I got the caprese sandwich on the first occasion and the then the Tomato basil soup on the second. Both were good but the caprese sandwich was very good. While the menu is not huge, it does offer the basics and has a few healthier options, such as vegan dishes.

Overall, the atmosphere and food qualiy make this place worth checking out.“
