“The Coolidge Cafe is a nice local neighborhood diner in Oak Park, Michigan. It provides all of your traditional diner foods and a host of non-traditional cuisine as well.

I recently tried their corned beef melt and it was really delicious. The price was right and the portion was fairly generous. The service was friendly and very efficient. I'll be back again to try other items on their menu.“

“We came to The Whitney for an early birthday dinner for my husband. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience there! The staff went above and beyond my expectations. The food was amazing and cost was much less than I would have expected for the caliber and presentation of our meals and dessert. For all of you paranormal afficionados, their Ghost Bar is a must. The owners of The Whitney have done so much to preserve this amazing estate in Detroit without any funding assistance from the government or grants. “I had the chicken wings and garlic aloi fries. The wings was really good, big wings and had a lot of sauce on them. It's 12 for 20 which to me kinda expensive. The fries was disappointed in 7 dollars for some fries that's half of them was soggy. There was little cheese on it. The ones that was cooked was okay. I wouldn't highly recommend it but I would give it another try if different cooks was working. Saw one guy had to give his wings back before me because they was under cooked.“

“I had not been to a Beefcarver since I was a kid to the location on 8 mile. Stopped in today to the Woodward location. Food was good, the atmosphere is very nostalgic (I loved it), and the staff was amazing. The gentleman waiting on us was very friendly and very on top of things! We will be back.“

“We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“

“This was my first time at Zeffs.i was headed downtown to Jury duty and needed breakfast. It was 6:30 am. The employees were so pleasant early in the morning which was a plus. The other patrons were a morning delight. The food was delicious and tasty. The wait wasn't long at all 😁. The outside of the restaurant was clean. The inside was clean and inviting. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat... especially early in the morning.“

I waited like 15+ mins in the rain to order. I walked inside half way through the wait to look for someone, never found anyone. Went back outside & waited with 4 more people & no one ever came so after 15+ mins, I went upstairs to the store & asked for help. The girl working found the cook (who also takes the orders) & just happened to be on lunch. I wouldn't have minded waiting if there would've been a little 30 min break sign up or something. “I moved here in March and I’m still working on finding my new local go to spots. It’s my first time here and this is going to be my #1 go to diner/Coney Island.
It’s a family run business and it’s obvious that they work hard to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The waitresses are genuinely kind and you can tell they care about their customer.

The food was really good! It came out quick, the portions were generous, and if you like hash browns you won’t be sorry!! I’m a big coffee gal and my coffee was never empty, always hot, and as a VERY rare treat, the coffee is actually really good.

Lastly, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is obvious they take pride in what they do and are dedicated to making a great experience.
