“I didn’t get my tenders name but he was amazing my first drink was the French 75 and my partner had the champ ( pic not posted) he enjoyed his drink as well.
Being as my 1st drink was gin I asked for my second drink to be gin based with mint and whatever he decided it to be.

The craft that he showed I was mesmerized by it watching him place certain ingredients asking me is this okay and what I don’t like I told him im open to trying new things. Definitely recommend everyone to come here!!

Catherine, the hostess, greeted us warmly and explained there was a small wait to allow the staff time to catch up. After about a 10 minute wait, she thanked us for our patience and seated us in a comfortable corner table. She then promptly brought us glasses of water. Chris, our server, checked in with us promptly. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The cocktails were truly innovative and delicious. Willow is using some ingredients that are quite interesting but not too over the top.

“My husband and I went to Shift yesterday for dinner and it was fantastic. Scott and Matt provided great service. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I got 2 drinks (the color red and the espresso martini) and had the shift fries and lamb lollipops. My husband also ordered the filet tips and lamb lollipops. It was all excellent. “Went for my fiancée’s birthday. First time ever going. Brandon was our server, only way I knew is the hostess told us—he was awful. Kept snorting up snot or something every time he came to the table. Never introduced himself, never told us about the menu, nothing. Waited 25 minutes for water. The cocktails we had were nice. Well balanced. We ordered steak tartare and deviled eggs for appetizers-the steak was very salty. Wasn’t expecting such a large amount of food, with such small amount of accompaniments (four VERY hard pieces of baguette…). Fiancee said the eggs were good, but also salty. Ordered steaks for dinner. The steaks were masterfully cooked, and the sauces were wonderful. And the side of mushrooms were great too. Our server was very ‘rushed’ to get us out of there. Didn’t even ask about dessert or after dinner drinks…

“Our second visit to Bar Pigalle was outstanding. Our baked oysters appetizer was excellent. We considered ordering another! The seared mackerel and the duck confit were our entree choices and the were both excellent. Cocktails were fantastic. Both our selections were complex and delicious. The women's bathroom stalls don't lock, they are saloon doors that open out, but my husband said the men's room has locking stalls.

They have a room in the back where they allow smoking.

No local beer on tap or bottle which was super disappointing. How does a Michigan bar not have Bells? There is also a 3.5% surcharge on any card transactions, which seems dated.

Overall I could see this as a brief meeting spot, but not somewhere to spend your night. The music is not good, they play grainy music videos from the 80s/90s most of the night and when they aren't playing this, they play what looks like softcorn porn from the 90s from a large screen on the small dance floor.“

“If you want an amazing Detroit style pizza, look no further than this place. We tried a couple of different pizzas and also an order of the Teader Chips. Everything was perfection. The service was great. They just need a liquor license.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizza options and they offer Beyond Beef as a topping.“

“Went there on a saturday, waitress came pretty quick, we had a our drinks and placed our order in a timely manner. Problem was she never came back to the table. Had to get our 2nd drink from the bar, even when I got up to tell her we needed another round. Mind you there are 4 of us. We were with our wives. Then at least 40 minutes after placing our order, she came up and wanted to verify our order? I asked if she even put it in yet and she said yes. Then why ask? Then found someone to talk to, owner, manager, not sure didnt introduce there self. Said waitress was new and that there were wi fi problems so the order didnt go thru. A bunch of excuses, just own up to it. We just wanted to eat! Anyway once they made the food it was quick and delicious. No complaints other then the total service. The barmaid seemed really good as she was waiting on tables also. If we had her I would of given a 5“

“Ate in the lounge and had fantastic service. Lovely wood smoke smell in the place. Tried 4 different red wine between my wife and I, all terrific. The small plates we tried were all excellent. My favorite was the whipped salted cod and my wife loved the maitake mushrooms. The mains were also great, the halibut was our favorite. The sherry for dessert was great.

Overall, a surprisingly good meal with fun and knowledgeable wait staff. Best meal I e had had in a good while.“

- Drinks: On point.
- Absinthe experience: Waitstaff is very knowledgeable and it’s fun to watch. It’s STRONG and herby.
- Decor: Almost everything was custom build or original historical pieces.

Overall, this place is super comfortable and is the definition of a clean, classy pub/bar. It’s full of creativity and personality.

If you want history, the waitstaff can walk you through the renovations and history of the building going back to when it became the iconic Jacoby’s in 1904 and further to when it used to be a blacksmith shop and being originally built in the 1800’s.

The kitchen is open for fried chicken and fish which you can savor on the patio or at a table. “I came to this place about a month ago during a lunch break.The person that I was working with said that he attempted to find the best burger in Detroit. He said that this was the best place that he had found so far. While I don't know if it's the best, it was a damn good burger. It was nice and juicy with lots of flavor. It was also shaped well too, which doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but when you are eating a burger and you can't get a good grip, it becomes an issue.The patty melt was also very good. I got waffle fries with each of the burgers that I ordered and they were very good.The waitress was on point and the prices were very reasonable.The atmosphere is very upbeat as well. The event coordinator, Taylor, was amazing throughout the entire process including the day of the wedding! “Went to FrameBar yesterday for the BirriaBar pop-up with chef Eddie Vargas. Food was excellent and a great value for the amount of food at the price point. I loved that the chef was making the rounds in the dining room to ensure every customer was satisfied. The birria platter and quesabirria were both great, as well as the salsas, queso, and aguacates. Lastly, the bar had good Mexican-inspired drink options, with the smoked Oaxacan old fashioned being my favorite for both taste and presentation. Great work all around.“

“We went here for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful experience. There weren't many people when we first arrived, but the place was soon bustling with guests. There was recorded jazz music playing until a live jazz trio started at 7pm. Brandon took excellent care of us and gave helpful recommendations. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The food was well prepared and flavorful from start to finish. We started with the burrata caprese, followed by lobster bisque and french onion soups. For dinner, we had filets that were each properly cooked and tender. The sides were also big enough to share. It was definitely a memorable experience.“
