What made my order more appealing was the fact that I ordered the Butter Cake which included a Carmel sauce and Vanilla Bean ice cream and someone in the kitchen made sure to put the ice cream in a container which they placed in a bag of ice. It’s such an amazing spot for a private, intimate event—we had around 50 guests, and the space was perfect. The entire process was seamless, the food was unbelievable, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make the day special. “On Friday, February 6, we went to Capitol Grille. It has been our “Go to” restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries for many years, except the disappointment of our absence during the repairs caused by the fire. The food is excellent, the service superb. This time, however, we went to celebrate a very special event. We had no intention of disclosing the purpose, except to tell them it was a very special event. The hostess that seated us, got my wife to disclose the event. Before we knew it, the Manager, Eric, came to our table, expressing congratulations, etc. Several others, some we knew, and others we did not, also came to our table to express their congratulations. Eric then returned a second time, with more kind words. “Ordered a custom German chocolate cake. It was totally perfect!! Everyone that tried it loved it. Triple layer cake with the coconut style frosting between the layers and a delicious buttercream frosting outside and drizzle and nuts. It was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. Even better the next day with my morning coffee. I’m really not a “cake person”, and even I couldn’t stop eating it. Bought some cupcakes and a sugar cookie for the road when I picked up the cake and all of that was amazing as well!“

“Simply Good is a life saver. There are so many meal options, plus great add-ons, their house-made hummus is hands down the best I’ve ever had, not to mention the take and bake chocolate chip cookie. The beef stroganoff with noodles never misses, and the chicken piccata is truly to die for. Everything is delicious, nutritious, and so practical. It’s also my go-to gift for friends who just had babies or need a little extra love.“

“Yes, but - the order and pay by phone ruins the overall experience of Mudgies. Can’t ask an app about the menu. Spent 10 minutes looking on the interface to order an ice tea. Figured it was my lack of finding the menu. Had to flag someone down to learn they were out of ice tea. All those things a server would tell you. But alas you don’t get. So good food, crappy experience! Lower your expectations, taking on the McDonald’s approach, sad really. Oh and if you want an item on the side they charge extra for that?! And with this order system no one asked me how my lunch was- or if I needed anything. So my sandwich was cold and sat awhile before it was quickly dropped at my table. I am so bummed - loved this place. The good news is there are now a ton of amazing options for lunch in Corktown. I recommend tipping much less because you are really on your own.“

This is my wife’s favorite she love the Ribeyes well done, Ocean Prime never miss with her stakes. “Stopped in for the first time. The bbq chicken pizza was recommended by the guy at the counter. I Went with his recommendation and was I glad. It was one of the best pizza’s I’ve had in a long time. I also had the oven roasted wings that were equally as good. Definitely will be back.“

“We had this location cater for our wedding afterglow on New Year’s Eve. Most other places were not open late enough for us given the holiday. We were also very worried about reliability on New Year’s Eve when we’re were selecting a vendor. When we called to inquire, the owner Sam spoke with me and assured me that our order would be no problem for them and that he would personally make sure that we were taken care of and even gave me his personal number. We made some last minute order additions that he took care of. We had close to 50 pizzas that were delivered and Sam and the team made it happen on time. I could not recommend enough. Thank you for reducing our stress on our special day!“

“We first went to imperial in 2024 on our first visit to Detroit. As soon As we landed, we drove straight here for a meal that we knew would satisfy. The service is always fast and friendly ( ask your server for recommendations for food, drinks, activities they won’t steer you wrong). We opted for the taco of the week ( vegan chorizo and creamy), imperial Sonoran and tostada, as well as the nachos. We were all stuffed and happy. Shout out to Pricilla“

“I AM SO BEYOND THRILLED TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW!!!! I've seen many post to try Bloomfield Bakeshop for cupcakes 🧁 I heard they offered vegan which is what I went there for as a gift. I'm not vegan but everything looked so amazing I had to get some for our house as well. The one that really intrigued me was the cranberry orange seasonal cupcake which was in fact vegan. I ordered 6 vegan as a gift and 6 mixed vegan and non vegan for my own household. One was even gluten free. I'm extremely picky when it comes to cupcakes. So many popular shops in the area imo are overly sweet/awful and I never understand how they stay in business. But THESE? Omg.... clearly made with top quality ingredients. And so much love goes into them! I'm absolutely going back to buy more. As a family we shared them all so we could all test different flavors and they were all exceptional. You could not tell the vegan and gluten free were not made with traditional cupcake ingredients. Honestly, the vegan cranberry orange was my favorite. It was a tough choice though, because all were wonderful. It makes me so happy to support this wonderful business. They were so helpful with carrying the cupcakes to my car because I'm injured currently and couldn't hold onto the boxes. Please support this wonderful bakery. They deserve your support.
