“Can’t say enough great things. Great beer, great food. The outdoor seating was outstanding for a large group. And management supports animal welfare! Don’t leave your dogs in the car! Management was quick to identify patrons and address the issue of dogs in the car on a hot day. The place is dog friendly, so it made zero sense for dogs to be left in the car. The response was very much appreciated.”

“All I can say is wow! We stumbled upon this place while looking for pizza places in Petoskey. I am so glad we did. if you haven't tried them yet then... do it fast. Already one of our favorites. Today we are trying fried Greenbeans....sounds amazing! The cheese steaks are amazing and omg the loaded fries.. Do yourself a favor spend your money here and not at any of the McDonald's in Northern michigan. AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE and its REAL FOOD....can you believe its actually cheaper? “I’ve had JoJo’s Cookies Co. on several special occasions and didn’t once hesitate to book them for our wedding. We ordered several dozen of their individually wrapped cookies in assorted flavors. They delivered to our northern MI venue. Communication was great! I watched guests keep returning to the table for more and packing some away to go lol. Highly recommend!!”

“What a great experience - Friday night we had a big group of runners that really wanted ice cream. Kilwins was closed, but they saw our group and let us in! The girl that waited on us was awesome and patient. Very thankful! We are from Ohio and really enjoyed the ice cream. Highly recommend. They could have turned us away, but they didn’t and that is rare now a days. Next time we are in VA Beach we will definitely come back.”

“Murdick's has the best homemade ice cream. Once you taste it you will not want any other kind. You suddenly become an "ice cream snob". It is so creamy and delicious. Their homemade popcorn, fudge and candies are so good as well. We stop in every time we are in Petoskey.”

“We come here frequently, one thing i really like is they have people to translate if they can't understand. the waiter we have had several times and the entire place is a great atmosphere, the valrita burrito i think is what i get and it is AMAZING!!! i cannot say enough good things about this place. also BOOTS, is the best there. <3”

“Been living in Northern Michigan for over 10 years and never knew about Crooked Tree Breadworks until now. This artisan bakery has amazing breads and pastries. The Epi Baguette is fantastic, as is the classic sourdough bread. Tried the orange currant scone and it was delicious. The holiday stollen was reduced to six dollars. There were boxes leftover from Christmas so I bought one. Honestly, the stollen was too old and stale to have been sold to customers. Even though I warmed and toasted the stollen, it was still tasteless. So glad I came here twice because they do have outstanding artisan baked goods but prices are somewhat steep which is expected in an affluent place like Petoskey.”

“Joe and crew made us feel welcomed. drinks were quickly served as we waited for a table, then decided to stay at the bar. between 630 and 7, there was 20 minute wait for a table. it took probably 20 minutes to get appetizers, but the rings and skins were worth the wait! we didn't feel rushed and enjoyed the food and chat with fellow bar guests. shout out to all for blessing me with hot banana peppers for my corona!!!!!! the cod and fries special was on point!!! worth mentioning, the hot sauce selection!! thanks Southwoods for a great meal!!”

I got my salad but wasn't given any almonds & I was given a spicy southwestern dressing that doesn't go with this salad. I was starving so I ate it anyway,I think Jennifer needs to double check the orders before she hands them out the window. Not the first time either :(”

“Our first time here and it was lovely. We sat at the bar, and while the service could have been a little better, it was good. The beer selection is a bit odd, and could be better, but we found some beers we enjoyed. The food was quite good, but again the selection could be a bit better, maybe expand the menu a bit. With a few tweaks this spot could be outstanding!

We will be back, as we enjoyed our first visit here.”

“As a full time traveler and coffee affecionado, I can honestly tell you that this cafe has better coffee than north perk. I visit both cafes during my week in Petoskey and ended up buying a bag of Mundos (worlds) from Petoskey Coffee Co. I enjoyed the espresso as a mild and smooth kinda of jazzy cup and the Ethiopia drip was more vibrant, juicy and lively. Def my go to when I return. Checkout our travels @whatrvdoing”

“I am a decently regular customer of tropical smoothie in Petosky. I usually don’t leave review’s, however tonight I went into tropical smoothie and ordered my usual smoothie. The girl who took my order seemed nice at first but then she not only messed up my friends drink completely, when I asked for the extra smoothie that is left over after they put it in the cup. She told me in a very rude and snappy tone that they are not allowed to give away the extra. I added extra ingredients to my smoothies so there is normally a lot extra, and every single time I have gone to tropical smoothie, they give me the extra. Granted it was close to closing time and I understand the frustration of a last minute customer. She said it’s against policy to give the extra away, if it is not allowed then they need to tell all the employees so this confusion and frustration won’t happen again.However, the attitude she had was disrespectful and she could have been a little nicer about locking the door, she basically followed us out and actually slammed the door shut behind us and locked it.

I gave them 5 stars only because I really do love their smoothies, I only ever go to tropical smoothie to get my smoothie fix. However based on my experience today I would say my friend’s smoothie only gets 1 star since they only got one thing right in it. My smoothie was good, like always, I just wanted everything I was paying for. I pay 10.92$ for my smoothie, 8.19$ for the base smoothie plus roughly 2.73$ for my extra stuff I add. Im paying extra for extra so why can’t I get all of the extra? Especially since they are just going to throw it away. I really do love tropical smoothie and I will be coming back, I just hope I don’t see the same girl working.”

“Super nice guy took our order and made our pizza move and quick! Had the 4 corners Detroit with choose-your-own-toppings (they've got thin crust, cauliflower and gluten free crust as well). Cheesy crust was perfect, the dough cooked all the way through, and the sauce and cheese were delicious. This is definitely an order-for-take-out place, not a place to dine in. Will definitely return for more pizza.”

“Their pizza has really been on point lately tonight my boyfriend ordered himself a pizza and I got pasta due to my tooth being pulled today. All was warm and delicious. The person behind the counter who handed us our food took the time to show us the meals and make sure they were up to expectations and was very kind. I think I will pay more in person too being that it is so much cheaper to pay in cash than online.”

“Food was yummy and everyone there was friendly! -1 star because for any leftovers you have it’s an additional $7.99 per pound. So eat your moneys worth while you’re there. Getting a second plate to go, to get your moneys worth is not an option here!”

“We stopped there Oct. 24 at around 7pm for dinner just as they were closing for shortage of help but they served us anyways. Our server was Warren and the cook staff stayed to make sure everything was good. He had already worked a 12 hr. shift and was very friendly. we really appreciated it. thanks warren.”
