“They are clearly understaffed right now as I’ve been waiting on food for over an hour. Spoke with an associate who offered to remake food for delivery which I appreciated, but I could also tell they were slammed. I felt for the employee so said just send the food. Understaffing is certainly an issue in this industry and many others, but solutions need to be found for the interim. Business models adapted, etc. I know that’s a corporate thing, but freaky fast is a bad promise in understaffed economies. It sets the tone for standards to be a certain level, and when it’s not met it turns what could’ve been a good experience into something disappointing- because of the implied expectation being sold to the consumer. This isn’t fair to consumers, or employees. The ceo needs to be giving franchisees options for these times, because as it stands they’re setting their employees up for failure daily.“

“First time eating @Penn Station. Most definitely will dine in again. Aaron was a great host! My daughter had a cheesesteak and I had a hot italian, fries, and lemonades. “It is always a pleasure working with Mary to make the best sub ever! I am only in the area once every few months or so for work and I always stop at this Subway because of Mary. Mary knows what she is doing and she is always the sweetest. She even advises me on what options to get . Subway was my first job 8 or so years ago so the way the business runs has definitely changed but Mary makes me feel like I am trying a sub for the very first time each and every time I bite into one she has made for me. The veggies are always fresh, my meat and bread are always toasted and warmed to perfection, and Mary layers all of my options on beautifully. “Unlike other Subways nearby that close at 9 PM, this location stays open till 10 PM, which was very convenient for me. The staffs were efficient and friendly.I was surprised to see they had received some poor reviews on Google because my experience was excellent. Additionally, I appreciate that they don't charge extra for water cups and bags also providing all the utensils without asking for footlong cookies and salads.I'm giving them a five-star rating and highly recommend them!"

“I’m hoping this review will help the ownership course-correct their staff. Jersey Mike’s is a good overall concept. I know they have mostly Gen Z people working and supervising, but here is a huge issue. There is never a time when I order something from this store in Lake Orion, and the order is correct. They do not read the order slips. I place my order through the app. Today, the sandwich I ordered was supposed to have 3 different meats, they only put two. On my order, I asked in special instructions to go easy on the oil and vinegar. I literally watch them put a normal helping of oil and vinegar, and then put a side of it in the bag. As the super was finishing the sandwich I had to tell her to put mayo on the sandwich per the order I had placed. It’s very frustrating that they cannot read a piece of paper and do what it says. It’s not difficult. I really wish there was a Publix in Lake Orion. The sub is half the price and twice the quality. If you’re gonna charge $20 for a sandwich, the least you can do is hold your staff accountable for delivering a quality experience for the customer. Yes I tipped on the app which made me even feel more ripped off.

Update: Management was nice enough to reach out to me about my review and offer restitution for the bad experience, and most importantly said they would make improvements with the staff by having higher expectations when it comes to following order instructions. I will update my review again after my next experience.“

“I have to say I wasn't expecting much for a fast food vendor set up on the inside of a discount store like Meijers, but I was really impressed. Our server, who was all by herself, really hustled and prepared our subs just the way we wanted them with ample portions of meat and condiments. We had the food to go, but would have felt comfortable eating there with the few tables and chairs they had set up. They appeared to be clean as was the floor. Better than many other subways we've been to. Keep up the good work!!!.“
