“Recently held my birthday party in the upstairs! The venue was great and affordable compared to other options in the area. The upstairs held 30 people comfortably and enough room to mingle! The staff was fantastic super respondent to all questions before hand and very flexible! The food options were also very reasonably priced and the food was delicious and received lots of compliments! “We had a wonderful dinner at this lovely Japanese restaurant in the Tangletown area of Minneapolis. First, they have a great cocktail list. I had the wasabi whisper, which was their riff on a martini - Japanese gin, vermouth, yuzu bitters, served with a wedge of black garlic. This is a great cocktail. We also tried a completely crazy cocktail made with vodka, gin, sake, a type of Japanese soda, and matcha. It was super interesting, and actually quite good. They also have a great selection of sakes, and wine.

We started with the shrimp tempura. The batter was crispy, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked.

We took the recommended path of getting 4 hand rolls, which come with miso soup, a small salad, and edamame. I particularly liked the unagi roll and the scallop roll. Everything was fresh and tasty.

They have a small selection of desserts. We opted for what was sort of a waffle filled with sweet red bean paste and shaped like a fish. How awesome is that! It is served with a scoop of excellent vanilla ice cream. It was perfect.

The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The place has the usual quiet feel of Japanese restaurants. The menu is somewhat limited, but what they do, they do very well indeed. I definitely will go back!! Soon!!“
