“Been here twice so far and it's becoming my go to place for coffee and brunch!
Party of 2, ordered: americano, cappuccino, blacked avocado toast, duck fat frieds, French toast
Everything was superb! Coffee was great and flavorful.
Avocado toast comes in Mexican seasoning and it was amazing. Toasts were also surprisingly good and not too sweet, goes well with black coffee. The fries are drizzled with duck fat so cant really tell the difference but they were great too.
Indoor space is cozy yet fancy! The outdoor space was perfect too when plenty of shades. You're not sitting directly under the sun.
Cant wait to try other menus and cocktails next time.“

“Myself and four friends were in Minneapolis for a few days on a visit from Ireland and had breakfast here a few times. Food was delicious. Great choice on the menu. Service was brilliant. Staff friendly and efficient.“

“Great salads, pizzas, and service! I don't recommend their martini because mine was tiny (not worth $15)! Also, the outdoor patio felt a bit crowded. More room in between the tables (especially since dogs are allowed) would make the ambiance better.“

“We visited Herbst for our wedding anniversary date this year and had a great experience! We got a complimentary prosecco toast to kick things off. I got a signature cocktail that was gin based and had great flavor! Green beans (8/10), Arrabiata pasta (9/10), bread w bone marrow marmalade (7/10 - we would’ve skipped the marmalade), pork chop (8/10), mushroom chicken (10/10). We enjoyed the fresh ingredients in everything! We’d likely come back here again, as the menu rotates often.“

“A great tasting burger with great outdoor area but I would skip the fry chicken and stick to the burgers overall a great experience if you're looking for a great burger and a must if you are in the area just know that parking is a bit difficult to find“

“Mona does not disappoint and please take her recommendations on the Vanilla Blonde Ale, this woman is enjoying to watch and made my entire morning considering it started off with a canceled flight and a delayed flight after that, lol - if you’re having flight issues please schedule your drinking consultations with Mona; oh and the food is also exceptional as well!!! - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Food was amazing (small menu which means they do good things with what’s there), specialty cocktails ❤, and there must be sound-proofing because we had no issues hearing our waiter nor dealt with any noise issues with hearing at most restaurants. Give this place a try!“

We came here for the first time on our 4 year wedding anniversary with our toddler. What a wonderful establishment!
The food and drinks tasted elevated and complex and were at a reasonable price point. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Some highlights include the caulini tempura, the mentaiko maze udon, the scallop temaki, and the black sesame cheesecake from the dessert place next door (which will be opening soon!) My son was SO excited to eat rice (his favorite food) in the shape of a bear and loved his Calpico drink and the red bean fish treat dessert.
Our waiter was nice, but not overbearing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave us informed recommendations, and provided good advice on handling the hand rolls. The place has simple, but classy decor, and a nice large patio. Management was very generous in recognizing our anniversary with a couple of surprises. We felt very taken care of and were glowing with appreciation at the end of our meal.
We feel grateful to have found this gem in the neighborhood which we plan on returning to many times in the future.“

“The Bulldog is a pretty standard place, warm beer, stiff drinks, but the reason I'm giving it a five star review is because of our server Hannah. She was AWESOME! She was also friendly, attentive and accommodating. We would go back to the Bulldog just because of her. Thank you Hannah for bringing some joy to our hang!“

“This is a place you’ll get hooked on. From the Waygu burger, Salmon Sandwich to their baked goods. I bought a brioche loaf and made the most amazing French toast from it. Very worth a visit for breakfast and lunch!“

“I went there on the MN State Fair Preview Weekend. I had the Mini Donut Beer for the first time. It was insane. If you haven't had it and you're a flavored beer person, you gotta try it. It's no joke like eating a mini donut, but beer. They figured out the secret recipe. And if you like garlic, the Garlic Fries are super tasty. Yes, you need to grab the garlic with the fries, because there's no sauce to stick it together. Also best mosquito repellent lol.“

“A local Rochester, MN restaurant chain -now branching out to a new location- Newt’s (Apple Valley) brings everything we love about the Rochester locations (GREAT burgers, beers, and unlimited popcorn!) to our little corner of the Metro. We were stoked when we heard Newt’s had arrived, and our first visit there certainly delivered. The food and atmosphere were excellent. Great service too! Welcome to our neighborhood Newt’s. “I just came here to say these were the best bang bang skrimp wraps I've ever had. crunch, on point! sauce, on point! even the slaw which I'm usually not a huge fan of by itself, on point! perfect portion, cherry coke on tap was great too! My friend had the nachos and they were huge, although they were served in a large bowl, I would find it easier for cheese distribution if served on a platter of some sort but that's about it, still recommending!“

“North Star Tavern absolutely crushed it for our group! We had our reservation double at the very last minute and they not only accommodated us, but were able to get us in earlier too. The host who helped coordinate everything was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. I really wish I had gotten his name because he made the whole experience so easy. And Riley, our server, despite being a Packer fan 😉, was fantastic. She handled our large group like a pro and gave us excellent service the entire time with a smile on her face. Also…that Brussel sprout salad is an absolute banger. 10/10 all around!“
