“I usually have a pretty good experience at this Jimmy John’s. I typically order the chicken Caesar wrap, and for the most part it’s been fresh and tastes really good.
Customer service has also been nice in the past—they greet you when you walk in and are helpful if you need suggestions.
However, my last visit wasn’t as great. When I walked in, no one was at the register. One of the employees saw me standing there but took a moment before acknowledging me, and then someone else eventually came to take my order. Also, my wrap wasn’t cut in half like it usually is, and it didn’t taste as good as before.
Overall, it’s a decent spot, but consistency could definitely be improved.“

“Really happy I gave this a try. First ever Banh Mi sandwich and it was really good.
Went with the Beef, (the safe choice according to the very helpful server) and it was very tasty. Had a very slight kick to it that was just right.
Baguette was perfect.
Place was spotless.

“I like this place I came in about once a week while I’m running errands. The foods good but I had an odd experience because I didn’t give the employee my sandwich toppings in the right order. I’ve been coming here since it opened and going to sandwich shops all my life and I’ve never had an employee get annoyed with me because I didn’t give my toppings in the right order and all I was doing was going by how they had the ingredients laid out. It just like an strange experience and not what I’m used to since this place usually has a pretty good atmosphere and friendly staff.“

“The team at the Highland Park St. Paul location is exceptional! Every staff member was warm, welcoming and genuinely engaged. The energy in the restaurant was so positive that I actually hadn’t planned to stay and eat, but the environment pulled me in.

It was honestly fun to watch the team together so seamlessly - welcoming and chatting with each guest while simultaneously prepping, building sandwiches, cooking, checking out customers, and keeping the space clean. Everyone seemed to move through each part of the process with such ease and attentiveness, and it created a really enjoyable atmosphere.

And of course my sandwich was perfect and delicious! Huge shoutout to this team! You can tell they take pride in what they do!“

After standing there for a couple of minutes and watching how busy the employees were, one of them communicated with me and apologized for the wait. I could clearly see one was slicing meat, one was cleaning, one was tending to taking orders and two were prepping and assembling the sandwiches. I appreciated the communication and I know times are hard. Thank you for all you do!“

“We went on a Saturday around 11 when it was very busy and they didn't have the staff to keep up with the demand. The guy running the food was super flustered and kept apologizing to everyone. We waited a long time but finally did get sandwiches which were solid. I'd go back sometime when they aren't so busy.“

The bread is perfect and the crunch goes so well with that creamy Stracciatella cheese. $15 for a sandwich is a little steep, but is totally worth it for original sandwiches with great ingredients.“

She double checked the order every step: toppings add/removed, toasted, needing a drink carrier, etc. Hit every mark for making sure the order was correct. I saw the manager quickly respond when called for (to receive a delivery) and the man doing bike delivery got on register and assisted the next customers promptly when he arrived back. “Really glad that Mama's Market is in the neighborhood. The sandwiches are well made with slightly spicy mama's sauce. I really liked the green smoothie, though it was a little sweet. I also liked the range of groceries and household goods available there. Prices are low to medium. They have bags of plantain chips on the shelf, bulk and 2 lb. bags of yellow split peas (vatana dal) and red lentils (masoor dal). They have many more grocery items that constitute African and America cuisine.“

“I’ve seen this place all over Instagram, so I finally decided to check it out and see if it lived up to the hype. I found free street parking & I ordered on the kiosk it was quick and efficient. And the staff cooking in the back were friendly. My sandwich was made fresh to order, came out hot, and took less than 10 minutes to prepare.

I tried the Cry’N Eggy, personally, it wasn’t quite as spicy as I was hoping for, and I could have done without the arugula. That being said, it was still a really good breakfast sandwich. It was wet without being too messy, I really enjoyed the garlic aioli, pepper jack cheese, toasted bun, and fluffy egg.

Overall, I can see why people talk about this place so much. I’d definitely come back to try another sandwich and would recommend giving it a try if you’ve been curious about the hype.“

“Have been here several times. Always clean, plenty of parking.

Today (4/9/26) only one person was working when we came in (5:30ish). A couple was waiting and we were in line.

The single working person did very well staying calm and managing multiple issues — the store was out of Parmesan, there were online orders, customers in real life, the waiting couple.

It quickly became apparent that the waiting couple had an online app order issue/complaint of some kind and the single employee was too new to know how to service the issue. The employee was calm and polite and apologetic, clearly trying hard. The couple did not seem to understand the response that this employee did not know how to process the app issue. The employee did reach out to an off-site supervisor who did call back. A second employee came in for their shift and also spoke to this couple.

No matter all of that, the original employee steadily worked and the store was calm and functioning. Employee reminded us of sub of the day, mentioned that avocado was extra, recommended that we get three cookies instead of two because it would be cheaper. They knew their stuff. Hats off to this person (Alexis) who did not get rattled or frustrated.

Food normal. No Parmesan, but really, who cares? That’s fine.“

“My daughter and I got sandwiches to go. She got the steak flatbread and I got the tuna on Italian. We expected Subway and we got Subway! The bread was fresh and delicious and the veggies were fresh as well. I wish Subway’s proteins were a little better (the tuna is the cheap brown flake stuff), but our food was good! “I have been there 5 times and left 4 of the 5 because of the lines. With that being said, last week I stayed and waited almost 2 hours between ordering and getting my food. I try to support all black owners business however you all have been opened for a few weeks now, you see what kind of lines you have and yet you still only have 1 cashier and 1 person on personal phone calls and passing out food. While I waited in that line for over an hour just to order, after I ordered a friend of the girl who does nothing but talk on the phone and pass out food came in and she allowed him to bypass everyone else who was waiting and gasp she actually rang him up. This is horrible. I will not be back but I do wish you much success“
