“The service is horrible. Waited 20mins before getting someone to take just our drink order and it was the bartender from inside not even our server that noticed we were still sitting there with nothing. Then barley good service once our waiter did finally come. We all could have had another drink but never could since we werent asked till after we were done with food. Food was actually really good and good portions for the price. But the service ruined it. I can't recommend this place and don't know if we will back. Plenty of other places with good food that actually have good service.“

“This place is small and intimate. I went there to try a couple of new brown liquors. They have a terrific selection. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. They have a superb drink menu. I did not eat, but the pizza looked delicious.“

“I love a good burger, and after reading about their signature burger after Kyler Murray was reported to have loved it while he was here signing with the Vikings, I thought I'd make a stop at the Excelsior location last night to check it out.
While the burger and fries were both very good, I wouldn't say that either were the best I've ever had, by any stretch. Honestly, I think 5 Guys makes a more flavorful burger.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it, but the cost ($44 after the tip for the burger, fries and a diet coke) was a little shocking to me. I ran into a friend while there, and wasn't really paying attention when I ordered, which is on me. But when she asked if I wanted fries, I guess I assumed that they'd be included in the cost ($19) of the burger. Nope, fries were an additional $8.
Don't get me wrong, it was all good, and the the service was excellent, but it wasn't good enough to make me ever want to go back for another one.“

“Food was very good. My mom got the shrimp lemon and chicken pasta which was FANTASTIC 10/10 on that. My dad got the pot roast stroganoff which was also fantastic another 10/10. I got the prime rib French dip which the sandwich was fantastic, however the au jus was very bland which was disappointing. The tater tots were awesome. Would definitely eat here again!!“

“Outstanding dining experience. Haven't been here for a while but my daughter in law just got her PhD and this is where she wanted to go and celebrate. And wow did we celebrate. They ordered the short ribs which were delicious and very tender. We gir the drunken noodles (which are the best drunken noodles i ever tasted) and the tom yum Ramen. The Ramen broth was heavenly although I couldn't finish the broth. The shrimp and scallops in the Ramen were perfectly cooked. The Ramen noodles had just the right texture and soaked up that heavenly broth. The spice level was just right and got stronger throughout the meal. White Negroni was very good. The Hungarian sauv blanc wine was meh as all good Hungarian wines should be“

“We’ve used Mr Pig for the last few years for many birthday parties and it is always a crowd pleaser. Our guests love the hog roasts and augratin potatoes as their favorites 🙂. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a hog roast/catering service for their parties!! Most importantly, it comes highly approved by our favorite birthday boy 🐶 who gets to see his BFF’s each summer for his very own birthday plate 😁 🐶.“

KJ was our server, and was so super attentive and friendly, and I absolutely loved my Hawaiian Bowl. The quality of the coffee (although some people have complained about the price) is so worth it! Will definitely be returning.“

“Situated beautifully along the lake with fantastic sunset views, COV Wayzata offers a wonderful ambiance that is especially enjoyable when the temperature permits outdoor seating. The service was exceptional throughout our visit, beginning with the highly accommodating staff who graciously allowed us to place our first round of happy hour drink and appetizer orders just minutes before the window closed. The tap beer selection is superb, and we started with the truffle fries, which were paired perfectly with a delicious truffle aioli.

One of the main courses we ordered was the steak frites accompanied by green asparagus and béarnaise sauce. While the flavor of the steak was excellent, the cut itself lacked a bit of tenderness. Additionally, while the restaurant boasts a strong wine list, the pricing reflects a remarkably steep markup; a bottle that typically retails for around $40 was priced at $155, which feels a bit excessive (normal for me as a Swede in Sweden, but not in the US…) Despite the steep wine prices, we ended the evening on a high note with a genuinely phenomenal Key Lime Pie. Overall, COV provides a highly memorable lakeside dining experience bolstered by top-tier service.“

“North Star Tavern absolutely crushed it for our group! We had our reservation double at the very last minute and they not only accommodated us, but were able to get us in earlier too. The host who helped coordinate everything was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. I really wish I had gotten his name because he made the whole experience so easy. And Riley, our server, despite being a Packer fan 😉, was fantastic. She handled our large group like a pro and gave us excellent service the entire time with a smile on her face. Also…that Brussel sprout salad is an absolute banger. 10/10 all around!“

Although the restaurant has been around for several years, it’s now under new ownership as of mid-January by the Luna family, and the difference was immediately clear. The food was outstanding—authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care and passion. This wasn’t rushed or generic Mexican food; you could truly taste the quality and pride in every bite. The service was just as wonderful, with a sincere and welcoming host and wait staff. The restaurant has also received a beautiful facelift. “I was pleasantly surprised that the food was very good. I had the filet, and it was cooked perfectly. The filet was juicy, tender, and delicious. I also enjoyed the vegetables that came with it, including the fingerling potatoes. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their food, including the steak bites, steak salad, and the walleye. It did take quite a long time to get our food, but luckily, it was worth the wait. The dining room was a bit chilly, but was clean and comfortable. The server did a good job.“

“I've been to this location four times, the food has been great everytime, my favorite is the deviled egg open face sandwich and banana bread latte. Even the busier times I've visited the service has been good and attentive. Couple things to note, seating near the door can be pretty uncomfortable especially on a cold day and there is an hour limit per table, which is not based on when your order is taken or receiving your order but from when you arrive at your table, even if they're busy and orders are taken well after you've been seated. Two minutes after collecting payment we were informed of this rule, although the host wasn't rude when sharing this it felt a little less than appreciative of our business, not sure I'll return because of this.“

“Was at Moes's Char House Chanhassen with Sarah Morgan . Pulled $250 in Pulltabs. The waiter, an Excelsior Dufus, would not let me use 3 credit cards, he demanded cash. I tipped him $30 and then the manager yelled at me for shorting the tab. $50 in cash had gone missing from the table as the Excelsior Man giggled at me. I tipped him $30 more and left. Don't go to Moe's Char House!“

“I flew in all the way from Detroit to Minneapolis Minnesota to visit my all time favorite restaurant. It was a dream come true that it reopened. I have been looking for the ChiChis fix for over 20 years. It was well with the trip and well worth the wait. The chimichanga ( with the Diablo sauce) was exactly how I remembered it. I got the chicken one day, and the beef the next day. A+. The chicken tortilla soup was superb! The original chips and salsa, margarita and fried ice cream was the topping on the cake. Exactly, how I remembered it. Both so good. My daughter got the cheese and the chicken enchiladas and elotes (corn) and she was highly impressed! I got everything with extra Diablo sauce because I had been missing that key ingredient to Chimichangas. The ChiChi’s Diablo sauce. My trip was made extra worth it when the founder of ChiChis son, and current owner, Michael, I believe, came to the table to thanked me for coming from so far away to enjoy ChiChi’s and asked how was everything. I told him first I wanted to Thank him, for bringing our childhoods and favorite restaurant back, and that everything was excellent!!! I was 100% satisfied. No complaints at all. He gave me the history of the ChiChis name!! Very nice guy!!! - He did say that corn 🌽 cake was probably coming back. I am back in Detroit and attempting to plan my next trip. I am having ChiChis withdrawals once again, just like it was 2004. I hope they come back to Michigan soon. Do yourself a favor! Visit ChiChis. You won’t be disappointed. Great food. Great service.
