“We were here for dinner over the weekend and everything about this place was phenomenal we tried multiple things off of the to share or not portion of the menu and loved every bit of it. The whole grilled fish our waitress mentioned rotates depending on what is available fresh and it was cooked to Perfection and probably our favorite thing all weekend. The cocktail menu is unique and everything that we had the opportunity to try was delicious I highly recommend doing the cocktail flight to anybody who doesn't have a favorite spirit. Staff was incredibly friendly and knew what they were talking about if you had questions. To those looking at going here reservations are a must!!!! Great atmosphere as well“

“We were in town from Duluth for a family gathering and were so grateful to have found this place! The heated outdoor space and attention to dog detail was amazing. It was also so festively decorated. The burgers were delicious and our dog Hank was in pup paradise with his own chicken and rice pup meal and allllll the pets. Our server Walt provided top notch service and was so genuinely enjoyable, kind and attentive. Lori also deserves a shout out for all the love and pets she gave Hank. Made his day. “Dark Horse came highly recommended from the MSP Burgers Facebook page. The burger and fries were great. The only gripe is the service was very slow when we first arrived, but I understand they were busy and our waiter had his hands full. I have seen tons of reviews on MSP Burgers and no complaints about service, so it was likely an anomaly. I definitely recommend the Dark Horse burger and the pizza also looks amazing.“

“A absolute gem of a restaurant in White Bear Lake. In town visiting family & so enjoyed our first time here last night. Very cool & well designed with a great vibe, beautiful bar area where you can comfortably dine also. Which is aso the main diningroom with views of the kitchen & Chefs creations. The food was excellent and Melissa the bartender made the experience wonderful. Very friendly atmosphere and the drinks are poured well and come out fast. “I was staying in the University of Minnesota and this place was a life saver when I did not want to eat in the dining hall. Their falafel sandwich was genuinely some of the best falafel I have ever had and their fries were undoubtedly the best fries I have ever had. The service was super quick and we got our food in under 10 minutes consistently. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere to it. Would strongly recommend if you are in the area!“

Original review from 2023: Long-time gems like this make the fair unique. Very friendly people and typically a much shorter line than the Hamline dining hall. The croissant on the breakfast sandwich was extremely fluffy. Everyone at our table was incredibly friendly, as were the workers, from the host to the checkout clerk. A nice relaxed respite from the chaos the rest of the fairgrounds can be.“
