“Came here with my husband tonight and had the best time. Started with the Reuben rolls....great! I had the mahi mahi and he had the fish and chips. Both meals were wonderful. Our waitress, Hailey, was awesome. She made the best recommendations and had a very pleasant attitude. The ambiance was perfect. we will be back again!”

“It's kept clean and a great place to get some food. I cant wait for the food trucks to come back. Swedes was the one there today. I was excited for it! super nice woman working today. The food was not great though.The Pulled pork is very dry. I had the sandwich and the nachos, and took it home. I only live 8 mins away. The food was cold, no semi warm to it. Their sauces are good though, just doesn't make up for the dry pork.”

“The negative comments on the Dining Center are pretty old. They have really improved their food! There is a fresh salad bar, made to order sandwich bar, pasta bar, fresh pizza daily, and soft serve ice cream, as well as vegetarian/vegan options, a dessert bar, and several choices of balanced, healthy meals daily.”

Great coffee, GF cookie and most important (to me) a fantastic atmosphere. There was a warm, welcoming feeling when I walked in and it didn't change over the next few hours. I can't wait until I'm back in Mankato so I can pay another visit!”

“Fast casual pizza where everybody knows your name -- or at least your uniquely-you pizza order. We've been coming to 1000 Degrees regularly since 2020 and have had zero complaints in that time. Super-fast service with a smile. Two to three minutes in the oven and a Coke Freestyle fountain machine. Two TVs going with cartoons on one and primetime TV or movies on the other. Even my toddler loves this place and asks for it by name.”

“My wife and I and the in-laws stopped to check out ummies after going thru the Kiwanis light show last weekend. Of course right before a maverick hockey game and they were packed. We walked Thru and didn’t find a seat open. Gentleman stoped us and said he had 2 tables going to be ready in 10 minutes. So we waited for them to open up and we all were glad we did. Waitress was awesome and food was even better! Highly recommended! Great job to all the staff at UMMIES!!”

“Preordered online, and went in for pick up. Didn’t realize until then that they ran out of a lot of fruit teas and fruit drinks so we could only get strawberry fruit drinks. Beautiful indoor backdrop for pictures! Staff was knowledgeable and kind. If you want to order, only option is a kiosk but doesn’t seem like they can program when they are out of certain things.

Parking: Sitting across campus and other restaurants/eateries (Chipotle, Asian Wok, crumbl cookies), bank, and a liquor store, so it can grt busy!”

“We enjoy going in for a Bloody Mary on a Saturday or Sunday. We have highly recommended that they get better Appetizers , what they call Sharables but they haven't. They took the pretzel off the menu and they shoyld not have. They don't have any deep fried mushrooms, broccoli or cauliflower. So if you are wanting appetizers then I dont recommend going there. Their juicy Lucy's are very good and so is there French dip. They have a chicken bourbon salad that is amazing. We have only sat a table once and thr service was not as good as at the bar. its fun to watch people play pickle ball. its nice that they have popcorn to snack on. They don't play the music loud, which is something we really like.”

“My family and I loved this place. It seemed like a raisin canes but almost a little better! We got meals along with trying the fried pickles and fried okra, everything was very good! The price was great for the portion sizes. The staff was patient with us, as we’ve never ate there. We will definitely go back when we get the chance!”

“The scooters on Madison ave is best. The other one acts like you're trying to get more from them when you ask for less ice. I ask for less ice because it takes me nearly all day to finish a drink. Someone who has had stomach surgery, it's annoying to get halfway through a drink in 3 hours and it be all water after that. Anyways, I digress.

My husband and I go to scooters when I don't want to make breakfast or for his protein shake. They're always wonderful and they've fixed any issues we've had. Definitely give their tomatoe, egg and feta chz bites cooked 10 seconds longer (trust) ☺️☺️”

“I would not consider myself a "foodie" but i do have a restaurant bucket list, i started seeing posts for a new taco spot in mankato & i had to go, well cuz its tacos 😆!! Thankfully the boys are always down for my lil adventures....lets be honest though i had them at the word tacos for this one 😆!! I rarely do food/restaurant reviews but i am tonight!! We tried Tako Kato & i give it a 10!! That may be partial to the best dates ever but.....its super cute, small & quaint. They do have a dine in option & the esthetic is super cozy & fun!! The boys both did the hot cheeto burritos made to their likings & i did the maverick burrito with the restaurant recommendations both twists on american & authentic mexican food. Food was hot, fresh & delicious!! Fries are even a choice as a side, which parker opted for & they were better than alot of burger joints, D did the chips & sauce & i did the rice....all very good!! The staff super friendly we were checked on by the waiters & the cooks! & they even offered a fun family picture to add to their polariod wall, making our visit a personable & fun family night, even though i wouldnt say its the traditional family sit in restaurant. Very authentic with a flare for a small little spot!! Needless to say a fun night with my boys!!”

“Docks are on backside of building, inside the building. Nice red rope lights to show you where to back into. Good people, got in trailer right away. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Porta potty inside dock area. Bolt cutters inside if you need them to cut seal. Great experience!”

Called to verify delivery time, individually packed/labeled each meal, brought two extra small drinks just in case, and then refused a tip! Would HIGHLY recommend this location! “I will have to preface this review by saying that I'm definitely going to give Johnny B's a second shot. My first experience there was subpar, but I feel like it could be much better. I tried their fries, cowboy kegs, buffalo chicken tater tot kegs, and the philly cheese steak sandwich. The fries were nothing to write home about at all, they tasted under salted and almost store bought. The cowboy kegs were definitely a cool premise, like hush puppies but with cream cheese. They didn't taste as good as I hoped but I still enjoyed them. The buffalo chicken tater tot kegs had me excited, but the potato and chicken flavors didn't mix well and it also didn't taste as good as I expected. They did give me a fat cup of bleu cheese though which I was super happy about. The philly cheese steak sandwich was definitely the star of the show, delicious, but I do have to remark that I wish it had more cheese.

Overall, the food was 6/10, barely above average, but the place was clean, the waitress was nice, and the overall experience was more 8/10. I want to return because I want to try the bacon ranch tater kegs and the more famous menu items. I'm sure that while the food I ordered was subpar, other options must be way better. I'll update my review next time I visit”
