“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“-Vinai MN- My friend and I wanted to try Chef Yia's restaurant due to being homesick and wanting hmong food. We were met with such great service and sat where we could see the work area. Chef Yia was so kind and started us off with a complimentary appetizer, rice Curry balls. We ordered and the food came so fast. As soon as I took a bite, my eyes started to get teary because it tasted like food from home. I started fanning myself to not cry which Chef Yia saw and asked if the food was too spicy. We then started to explain that we were not from MN and were feeling a bit homesick and how the food reminded us of home. Chef Yia then said, here let's do this. He returned with a pot of beef soup that consisted of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, beef and green onion and white rice and shared that this dish was one of those dishes that we would eat at gathering and events. We we so shocked and so at loss with his kindness and compassion. We both took a bite and immediately lighted up. It tasted like my mom's cooking 💓. As we were nearing the end of our meal, Chef Yia told us not to stuff ourselves too full and surprised us with a complimentary dessert which further awed us. We were so lost at words for Chef Yia's kindness, generosity and comfort. We chose the Lava Cake and it was soooo good! I normally don't like sweets but we devoured this 😋. 1000/10 would recommend.“

“I hosted a welcome drinks event for ~80 guests at Norseman the night before my wedding and was incredibly impressed by the quality of the service, drinks, and overall atmosphere. We had originally reserved the outdoor patio space, but unexpected sideways rain forced us indoors. The staff at Norseman was exceptionally gracious and accommodating and helped us transition inside, which we all greatly appreciated.

Our guests had a wonderful time, and many commented on how much they enjoyed the DJ and the overall experience. I would highly recommend Norseman for any private event, and I'm confident both my husband and I (and many of our guests!) will be back in the future.“

The food was fresh, delicious, and attractive, and portion sizes were ample - we left full, but without leftovers. Food prices are very reasonable; drink prices vary, and some are higher than others depending upon the spirits. The atmosphere is lively, and was a bit loud at the busiest time. I recommend Stargazer for couples and friends, and we will visit again! P. S. The bathrooms are a fun surprise!“

“My fourth visit and great as usual. I haven’t had a single bad bite or drink at BAD. Get the JFC… maybe even twice like we did. All the rolls are smaller but fantastic. Think curated quality over quantity here. Service from Sam and others were on point.“

The mushroom fettuccini was very good, with a few greens in the middle to offset the rich earthiness.

The jerk chicken was flavorful and tender. It came with a vinegary cucumber salad that was also tasty. The smashed yucca was maybe the best yucca I've ever had. It had a citrusy sauce in it that balanced the salty starchiness. Wonderful!

The cocktails were great too, and the patio seating has a great view of the river on a nice day. All in all, superb!“

The bartenders are super knowledgeable and cool and knows how to carry a conversation and not be awkward! I think all four of us had the filet with various extras (shrimp, sauces, etc.), and we had four sharable sides: asparagus, corn, mashed potato, union rings. Honestly, everything was great. The mashed potato service size seems a bit small to me, but really everything was excellent -- including the two deserts we share, key lime pie and the 16-layer chocolate cake. One small matter, I was surpised we didn't get a wine cooler for the bottle of white we ordered. It just sat on the table and got a bit warm. Surprising for a restaurant of this level. I would love to return.“

“Ate at Oliver’s for the first time this morning. Not good. First had the supposedly spicy Bloody Mary. Not spicy at all, not worth $8.99. And I don’t prefer real spicy. Next had the eggs Benedict. OMG I could have fit both eggs on one half of the muffin and still not covered it. The ham, if that’s what you want to call it was something I’ve never seen before, thinner than bacon and tough. The hollandaise sauce was the worst. It is better in the pkg from the grocery store. Will never be back. The staff was very nice.“

When I tried to flag down the waitress she was assisting the table nezt to us and did not return for 10 minutes. Otherwise very friendly and did not interrupt our dinner at all.“
