“My wife and I went there for our anniversary. It was our first time trying Baldamar. We got seated in Nate aka "Nate-Or" section! Man what a guy! Our experience was amazing! “What a cute spot! They have amazing bloody Mary's! This place is great if you want to stop in for a quick drink and a small treat or stay for a full meal! “One of my go-to places but I'm dropping a star because the last several times I've gone the kitchen has closed early because they're slow despite there being multiple patrons in the resturant still (not just the bar) so I've been having to call to make sure the kitchen is open still prior to going and even then they can't guarantee it will still be open by the time I get there which is a little frustrating. Otherwise great atmosphere, food, and drinks.“

We have had Isaac as our server a few times, and he always makes sure we have plenty of ketchup and syrup before we even have to ask and is very friendly to chat with. However we all felt that the food and presentation was a three star. So take that into account if you are reading this.I know they are going for the diner/dinette vibe but the shrimp cakes in a cardboard box isn't ideal. The French fries also were good but look like something you would get next door at CHS Field.I had the duck pasta with ricotta cheese and it was a major letdown for me. I should have ordered the burrito. However the menu isn't that large so your options are limited. The pork belly was tasty but had way too much spicy sauce all over it.Will I go back? Honestly it is unlikely. I hope they can improve the food and expand the menu because the location is beautiful and historic. And our server was prompt and took great care of us.“

I was with a team of people (my job met there) last night (4/1/24), we had to flag a waitress down to take our order for food and drinks outside of the many appetizers my boss ordered. That's not usually the case though. Once someone came, she was wonderful. I don't come to this establishment too often anymore due to me no longer working in the area, but whenever it's an option, I am always a fan. “Fresh and flavorful ingredients used to make mostly Ecuadorian dishes mixed with others. Try the hornado (roasted pork), which comes with a fresh tomato/onion marinated salad, cheesy potato cakes, and hominy. You won’t be disappointed! The service is great and they don’t use their drink sales as a huge profit center like many other restaurants do.“

“Maybe the best food I have ever eaten! The only thing it compares to was a small, unsigned restaurant in Roam, Italy. This adorable little old grandma made what ever looked good at the market into beautiful courses. This meal brought me back to there, 17 years ago. The flavors are so well balanced that each bite has the most amazingly perfect taste. It makes you forgot looking for all the individual flavors and simply just appreciate the perfect balance of all the flavors have combined to. “Great place, good food, weird vibe! The waitress or cook was off. We ordered an appetizer. Our friends ordered a different appetizer after us. Their appetizer arrived. We asked about ours. She told us it will be coming. Our food arrived and we asked again about the appetizer. She seemed confused. The appetizer never arrived and when she brought the bill she said something about never getting the appetizer. The whole exchange was weird. They should also take salads off the menu. That was not available when we were there either.“

“I love Turf Club. This is a classic music venue with great service. I have been there a few times now and have never had a bad experience. The stage is elevated a bit so even if you're in the back, you can see the performance. This place isn't huge, so you get a very intimate setting. Great options at the bar for drinks and they have food, even though I haven't tried anything yet. Looks good though! I could not believe the service we got the last time we were there. We had a table and our server was so on top of everything. Never had to wait long for a drink refill. He was so nice and funny. Really added to the whole experience! I always keep an eye out for events at Turf Club because I'll take any excuse to visit here!“

“I had to try it, and mean most places do not offer donuts with a meal -- chicken sandwiches or burgers. I ordered The PAT (a steak burger) with fries and a shake. Pretty good. You can order and pay from the counter or via your phone. Atmosphere is nothing special. I guess the only problem I had is the cost. $25 for a burger, fries and simple shake seems high, but maybe that's just the way things are these days.“

“This is a hidden gem of the northern suburbs. Just a. Few mile north of Co Rd 14 off of Hwy 61. Hustled between Hugo and Forest Lake. The Black Smith had some of the best Broasted Chicken Minnesota. This is a no frills local bar and restaurant and it's totally worth the drive. You can't beat a 1/2 chicles, potato and salad, or coleslaw for under $15.00 and less on Thursdays. And the no-frills Bar will not break your wallet. Make the trip up here any day of week!“

Pickles are just standard DILL and the sides tasted good (smoked white cheddar Mac and Cole slaw) If you order a side portion of sticky rice it comes with 2 heaping piles of delicious steamed sticky rice. Hmong pepper sauce is a great addition that levels up the spice even a little more! Great on the sandwich and rice.“

“If you want delicious food, do yourself a favor and head over. Their salad dressings are made from scratch and that's my favorite thing. The ranch is SOOO delicious! I haven't tried others but my sister and friends loved multiple other kinds. The soup and sandwiches are great, too. The desserts are great and they serve Northern Soda, which is a fun treat, too! I've gone here with multiple friends and relatives and everyone, even "hard to please at restaurants" think it's great!“

“Great food and service! They were really busy on a Friday and we didn’t have reservations but they got us in right away and into a nice curve both. The 8oz sirloin was above average. Hubs said the chicken and ribs was extra good. Our friends seemed to like the ahi and the full rack of ribs.“

I liked the seats because we could see the food coming out of the kitchen and the hustle and bustle of the wait staff right in front of us. My order was correct and the food was hot and tasted great. The pancakes are HUGE! Though I do not eat gluten, my date said his pancakes had a lot of blueberries and the taste was great! This is where I bring my senior citizen Mom for our lunches because the food and service is great, the tables and booths are always clean, and we can visit as long as we want!. The acoustics are such that we can talk and hear each other, which is usually a problem for my Mom. Admittedly, I usually take home a kid's size burger to eat later so that I can eat a giant custard sundae, malt, concrete mixer, or something else irresistible as my "meal". Highly recommend!!“

“Prices were raised a lot recently and that is definitely unfortunate, It's still good ol Snuffy's or if you're newer to it "The original malt shop". The atmosphere is nice, you won't get faster food at a restaurant than almost any other, it's almost magical. The speed and service have improved significantly over time but as I said so have the prices. It's still more affordable than most other places but I'm going to miss the $8 meals. Food is better than average but it won't exactly have you coming back for it. The malts are very delicious and as the name suggests is what they're best at. Take this as a light 5 star review. It's just good enough to make it to 5“

“It's a very open bar and they have some TV's to watch sports. They had a band playing the night I was there and it's nice that they have bands. There is room to dance if a band is playing. The food was good, comparable to most bar food. It's wheelchair accessible. They had a cover charge when the band played. Definitely a fun place!“

Walking in, you see an open kitchen and are greeted by a smiling hostess. The menu has great options ranging from burgers to wagyu steak. All of which smell delicious. The atmosphere is really chill and cozy. And the service was excellent. I did appreciate the few tvs they had along the bar, but not having them as a giant distraction. “We have dined at Bricks several times and this most recent time we had them cater a large networking event with 35+ other businesses. Briana and her team were excellent to work with. They helped suggest food choices, prepared perfectly to serve about 60 in attendance. Food was excellent, delivery was included along with some set up help. I highly recommend Bricks Kitchen and Pub to anyone looked for a great in person dining experience or a catered event!“

Unfortunately, I did not see any staff at the hostess stand when I arrived however, my party was already seated. Fish was hot, crispy, and not greasy; also served with tartar sauce. You also get a generous amount of fries which were great... I love a good zesty fry. Coleslaw was tasty as well. I had to get the mini donuts for dessert and those were delicious. Tasty, hot, and perfectly sugared. There were a few things I'd like to try on the menu... Buffalo chicken wontons, cheese curds, and the burger. I'll have to come back next time I'm in the area. I'd say our waitress wasn't very attentive and not too friendly....
