Very friendly folks behind the counter and lots of spots to sit. It's not cheap but it's fantastic.

The flavors change seasonally which is really cool and I was pleasantly surprised by some of the local ingredients and micro recipes that you can't find anywhere else.

Definitely worth a visit!!

“We ran over to this very old establishment for a late night summer treat. We all had different flavors of yummy ice creams. Mint truffle, salted caramel, toasted coconut and s'mores can all be recommended. Sorry I didn't get pictures. The outdoor area is quiet and congenial. Although slightly expensive the taste was phenomenal.“

Their selection of dairy options isn’t huge but certainly intriguing. My wife can eat dairy and although she doesn’t usually branch out from favorites, here she tries many things and is always happy with her selection.“

“Walked in off the street in hopes of finding a dairy free option other than sorbet. The young adults behind the counter told me they had 2 options and I chose the cookies and "cream". Let me tell you I am not disappointed at all in the least bit! Also the young lady informed me of your sister store nellys where you have even more options for dairy free options. I will definitely be checking y'all out and returning to Nelson's as well. As someone who is only recently in the last 6 months become lactose intolerant I have had an irritating time looking for ice cream shop style ice that was dairy free outside of sorbet. Reminds me of a small place my parent's used to take me when I was a little girl in Chicago. “This review is specifically for the Dubai ice cream sandwich, which my wife and I were fortunate to try one of the twenty-four made for a limited release.

This is one of the tastiest ice cream treats I've ever had. The layers of chocolate, chocolate ice cream, pistachios, and phylo were a crunchy and creamy masterpiece. At $15 it was quite large and easily enough treat for two people. I would say it is at least as good as getting two single-split cones at Milkjam.

The only downsides were:
1) there was no way to hold it without covering your hands in melting chocolate and ice cream.
2) it is simply too big for one person to eat.

But if you halve the size and add a stick to hold it by, I would be stocking my freezer with these every time I walk by Milkjam. Please make these again! Even with no adjustments, this messy and indulgent treat is easily worth it.“

“It's a good-old-fasioned DQ with outdoor seating only. They do a nice job of hiring and training their young staff to be friendly and attentive. I stop by at least a couple times a month during their long season (March-October at least) and always look forward to a good experience. Nice co-customers, too!

“Latinix-owned ice cream shop located inside a market, which made it a little harder to find when we we're driving by. They primarily speak Spanish but I'm sure you can get by fairly well if you don't speak Spanish between signage in an English and Spanish and the customer service. The employee was helpful in finding up gluten-free options. We each had a cup (taza) of ice cream (helado). It was delicious.“

“Lost my comment. Try again. On May 19th a group of family members went to the Bloomington Culvers. We were celebrating my grandsons grade school concert. I was unable to go up front to order and my son asked if someone could help me. Jose (spelling) I believe was the night manager. He came back to my table and took my order. He was so gracious and kind. I so appreciated his help. I didn't have the right walker and it would have been difficult without help to go up front. I can't thank him enough. It is so nice to go to a restaurant and know everyone is so friendly and willing to make your experience a good one. Thank you Don and Misty for such a wonderful crew. It’s very difficult to find employees that give such great customer service and I hope her management knows what a valuable employee they have working here.“

“Friendly staff. You can find everybody sitting on the patio outside for the summer. The location is unique to its placement, and they have art displaying the local area. Treats are on par and the staff were superb. I noticed a lot of people coming to get online orders, I didn't know that was a thing for an ice cream spot. There were more people coming to get online orders than people staying to eat ice cream and it was packed to the brim for dine in ice cream. I surprisingly enjoyed the music/playlist, it was eclectic. I grooved every song that played, I ate inside and the music gave flavor to my dine in experience. I'll be back to get more ice cream!“
