“We took an after work boat cruise. Wonderful food was set out buffet style and there was a bar for the thirsty ones. We had a great time seeing people we work with outside of the shop. Glad I brought a jacket as when the sun dipped, it got chilly. Parking was a little sticky but we got on the boat on time!“

“My Best friend came in from Maryland & wanted fish. I had never been here before but heard they had good seafood. So glad we decided to give it a try. A really cute place, clean, nice outdoor seating area and super friendly staff. We both had the Walleye dinner. Wow, it was the Best Walleye I’ve ever had !! Compares to ; Grandma’s in Duluth. Finally a place near us that’s Fabulous!! Everything people ordered around us also looked super tasty !! My friend agreed & said Whenever I come home, we’re going here!! Since then, I’ve got my husband & other Best friend hooked ad well. A Must try, you will not be disappointed. You’ll fall in love too !! Yum !! Now, I’m craving Walleye again!! 🥸“

“Drive up lane was full as our most in these times but the wait staff came out and moved a few of us vehicles to the front of the restaurant and took our orders, then delivered food. I was out of there in less than 9 minutes! Awesome!“

“Great Irish/American comfort food on the menu. Irish Rolls were great, Shepherd Pie, and Meatloaf all done so well. Met Chef James at Twins game and made a special short 20 minute trip out from our downtown hotel. Food was worth the trip, staff was absolutely great and friendly. We brought our pup with us, plenty of outdoor sidewalk and patio seating, and a water dish provided. Will be back again.“

“My family and I have been enjoying a little staycation this week at a farmhouse Airbnb just outside Cologne. It’s been a nice reminder that you don’t have to travel far to have a great summer. My daughter has spent the week chasing chickens around the property and loving every minute of it.
Even on vacation I’m still working every day. As a Realtor, I’ve done business throughout Mayer over the years, and a few years back I almost bought the property across the street from Knuckleheads with plans to turn it into a small Airbnb. It wasn’t meant to be, but I’ve found myself driving through town regularly ever since.
After passing Knuckleheads countless times—especially on Tuesday nights with the Harleys lined up outside—I finally stopped in with my family.
We arrived toward the tail end of the live music. The patio was still full when we got there, but by the time we left around 9:00, the crowd had started to thin out—which is when I snapped the photo of my daughter enjoying the last few songs.
The musician was a phenomenal guitarist and singer, and the atmosphere made it easy to settle in for the evening.
We ordered burgers, cheese curds, and waffle fries. The waffle fries were outstanding, and what really made the visit was the staff. Vicky and Jenny were personable, attentive, and did a great job taking care of everyone on a busy night.
It’s easy to see why this place has become a local favorite. Between the patio, the music, and the people, we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Mayer.

“We’ve been to Iron Tap a few times and it never disappoints! Today we went to celebrate my son’s heavenly 3rd birthday. Initially we were okay and my daughter seemed fine but within a few minutes she decided she didn’t want to be there… the owner (or really awesome and amazing bartender) came to our rescue and offered us dinosaurs and another area to sit so my 1.5 year old could move and not bug anyone. She didn’t know us or our situation, just saw an overstimulated mother. I wish there was more I could do, because you made our celebration so special. Thank you!“

“The Mrs. and I arrived here on a referral from my sister. She's sort of a cake eater. Well, her neighbors are cake eaters.
I'm telling you, just show up. We ordered the Jumbalaya for an appetizer... unbelievable. So flavorful.
Our server was engaging and her personality was fun. Real people with real service and real food.

“As usual we had fantastic food! We tried some new app’s and can not wait to try more. Fun fact, my Autistic son loved your pepperoni pizza! He eats very few kinds and the fact that he enjoyed your restaurant was great for me! We can add another place of approved places for him!! The atmosphere is beautiful and fun. “We play every week at Chaska Town course in their weekly golf league. We look forward to the specials that keep the menu fresh. Their food and service is fantastic and you can’t beat the sunset views from the patio if you’re just stopping by for happy hour.“

“Its affordable very nice resturant. And the food is good. And the service is good. Its off back behind other bussiness. You really have to look to find it. But if you use your phone to navigate to find this resturant. Yes it cost money. But you pay for what you order. But like I said the food is good. And it's a quite place. “Our absolute favorite place to go in the area! They have THE BEST food, cocktails, and service. The prime rib skewers, creamy caper chicken, pizza, and pot pie are our personal favorites.
