“I enjoyed my experience at Lona's! I have multiple food allergies/sensitivities, so I often feel uneasy eating out. The workers were patient about answering my questions about menu items and provided a positive eating experience. I ordered cold glass noodles, grilled chicken, and balsamic vinaigrette. It was delicious! I'm not a STL native but will eat here again next time I'm in town!Dietary restrictions: Caters to multiple food allergies. No corn used in products and other food allergens are noted on menu.“

“Really best for dine-in. Food is good. Northern china cuisine. As a non-Chinese, I appreciate that the menu has color photographs of most every item. Favorites are the spicy fish, twice cooked pork, glass noodles w pork, and sweet and sour pork (mostly just sweet). Okay were house noodles, noodles w fermented cabbage, braised knuckles. Least favorite was the dumpling soup -- mainly because I'm not a fan of cilantro. Place is small, but cute and clean. Service is prompt and friendly.“

“Corner 17 has THE BEST Chinese food around! The hand-pulled noodles, dumplings, baos, chicken skewers, wontons, wonton soup, and fried rice are all absolutely delicious..and you get very generous portions for a fair price! We have never eaten in (we always order to go), but the little interaction I've had with the staff when I've picked up my orders has always been positive! Also, I REALLY appreciate the updated to-go bags...they're way more durable (I don't have to worry about my hefty order potentially breaking through the bottom like with the standard brown paper bags) and the insulation inside helps keep our food nice and hot until we're ready to chow down! Thank you, Corner 17...keep up the AWESOME work!“

“I've never reviewed a place twice, but the food here is so consistently fantastic. I've been in a few times since my last review. I swung in for some dumplings this past Monday afternoon, which was particularly nice as it wasn't as crowded as usual. My dumplings were so hot and fresh. I love that I can use the chili on the table to my own taste - my lips burning are truly part of the experience. Already scheming on when I can visit next.“

“The Food was really good exceptional even better than I expected. The rice was fluffy not dry with bean sprouts onion green pepper and eggs I got special loaded with meat. The wings were on point and I will def be back. The service was fast and friendly and the food was served hot and fresh. It's a smallish front bout who cares the atmosphere was good and they are serious about their product. We will be back and we will bring friends“

“Basil India makes some of the most flavorful Indian food I've had in recent memory. Every dish I've tried is bursting with flavor, and is served temperature-hot, and spicy-hot (if you please). Vegan options are few, but those they do have are excellent. The wait staff are friendly and attentive.Yet I don't enjoy hanging out in the restaurant. It is too brightly lit (at certain tables, you feel spotlighted), the furniture is not comfortable, and, worst of all, it is loud. You will hear clamor from the kitchen, the loud banter of other diners, and music that is turned up too high. I enjoy the food immensely, but when I dine in, I want to eat as quickly as possible so I can get out of there. It's not relaxing. If Basil India can fix the ambiance, five stars all the way! In the meantime, I will keep ordering the incomparably zesty Vegan Tikka Masala for takeout.Vegetarian options: Vegan Tikka Masala is amazingly flavorful. Lotus Seed Thai Curry is a close second.“

“The best restaurant in Saint Louis. The food is so flavorful. I tried the gnocchi and the tofu dish and it was the best tasting dishes of those type I have ever had. You might require a reservation and the space is a bit limited, but the staff is very accommodating.“

“I came here tonight to pick up my to-go order since I wanted Vietnamese food for dinner. This is one of the places in town I have yet to try. I ordered Cha Gio, Vietnamese iced coffee, and Com Dac Biet.Sidenote: I was looking up their menu online (on Yelp and Google), and to my surprise, when I was about to pay for my food, the total was so high that it was like doubled. The prices online needed to be corrected, leaving a wrong impression on me. Later on, further investigation into this price change shows that their main profile on Uber has the exact pricing and also from their main website. The price change surprised me since I had brought cash with the precise amount to pay.The food itself was overhyped, but the taste was okay. It smelled better than how it tasted...the rice platter. The Cha Gio was delicious, especially with the lettuce wrap and the fish oil *chef's kiss*, and the iced coffee was the same everywhere; nothing new to note about.I would say that in the near future, I will come back to this place and sit down to enjoy their food instead of ordering to go to see if there have been any changes to the food's taste and quality.“

“Met a friend here (Webster location) for a weekday lunch and was pleased to find it well-frequented but not so crowded as to make getting a table or enjoying easy conversation without shouting a problem. I ordered the steak vermicelli bowl with Vietnamese vinaigrette and a side of peanut sauce, along with a bottle of water while my companion had the bahn mi and a cold green tea (bottled). My water was pretty clearly a quick-decision afterthought and I would have appreciated if the young woman taking orders would have let m3 know water was available free where the utensils, etc. we're located (out of sight of the entrance and ordering station), I think my friend would have opted for the same. As it was, we added several dollars to our orders as a result. Chalk it up to experience. We both enjoyed our food, but I did find myself wondering if I should have chosen the add Mau vinaigrette instead of the traditional, as the flavor was different (not as good) as I've had at several other Vietnamese restaurants. My friend said her sandwich was good, but admitted she didn't have a big basis for comparison. I'll probably try it again and make few adjustments to see if I just made a wrong choice. Sorry I forgot to take photos, but I take it as a sign that the company was excellent and stopping the conversation for snaps would have been a drag.“

“We have been coming to this location for around a decade. The food is always delicious and fresh! The owner is hilarious! We had one issue in ten years where a sauce was missed and he took care of it right away. We highly recommend Great Peking!“

“Absolutely delicious chicken fried rice! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with tender chicken pieces, flavorful vegetables, and just the right amount of seasoning. Each bite was a delightful combination of savory goodness. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying meal. The service was excellent too, making for an overall enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend trying this dish.“

“Food is great here, the area is a little sketchy, but my issue was how high the prices went up. Last time I went (4 weeks ago), I ordered a whole order of shrimp fried rice added egg, bean sprouts, and green onion. That was a $20 box of rice. Too much for some veggies added and egg.“

“Food was fantastic. Servings are large. Menu is a little confusing -- I wasn't sure if I'd get sauce so I unnecessarily double ordered. Beat crab rangoon in St. Louis. Might be the best Beef w/Broccoli I've ever had. Potstickers are above average. A little thick for my taste.“

“I’ve been to Cate Zone, the other good Chinese place in STL. Two very different restaurants, but Vegas Wok edges them out. 10 (no need to add on to the bill since no waiters) bucks buys a fantastic beef plate with veggies and rice and an excellent crab Rangoon. Many other things on the menu, like pork and braised beef and scallops. All good. I’ve never been in a smaller restaurant but it never gets too busy to get a table.“

“This is a little hole in the wall in a tiny strip mall. I had read decent reviews and was excited to try the place. I placed an order by phone and was told it would be 10 minutes. I got the combo plate as I ordered after the lunch hours. It was the pepper steak with onions, with white rice instead of fried rice, with crab Rangoon. The serving size was ample. The food was all still hot when I opened it at home. The dining room was closed, so it is strictly carryout. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious, and I look forward to trying other menu items when I come back.“

“Hosts were attentive and frequently refilled our water cups. Everything was freshly made and hot despite it was a later dinner for us. Some food was bland (mushrooms) until combined the sauce from another dish. Buffet was reasonably priced at 12.95. We'll definitely be returning!“

“If you are into Thai Cuisine then this is the spot to go in the CWE! The hospitality is great! Everyone is so friendly. The Lo Mien is superb! Every time I go I try something new. If you are in to egg drop soup, they have the best! For you spicy lovers, Start with the Spicy Thai Curry Chicken it’s pretty tasty. The mango milk tea is just the right blend of sweet, fruity, and still the classic tea flavor. They are mid range as far as your money, so $20 at lunch will get you some wings, noodles or rice and a drink. They also have lunch and dinner combos too. Go check them out!“

“The ladies I was talking to said they had been there for 41 years.... the Food tells you that is the reason. It smells so good in the restaurant. Food smells so good it isn't funny as to how much shrill giggles I got from my wife and daughter when they smelled the food as I walk into the house. We are so full but will definitely make this the only place we go for chinise food in St. Louis. I LOVE HO!!!!!!“

However I will not do so since I will instead be enjoying everything about my repeated excellent experiences at China Garden on Gravois. I will leave you with this note - China Garden on Gravois is stupendous and makes all other Chinese take outs look like imitators.“

“I have no idea how they run their business, but the food is fantastic. This restaurant is inside PokeDoke. You pick up your order at the counter in PokeDoke. “I have been here 2x, once for dine in and once for carry out and have had great experiences both times. The menu in the cwe is different from the chesterfield menu, and everything I have tried so far has been good. The 1st time, I tried the shrimp udon. It was delicious and the shrimp were huge. The 2nd time I do the spicy chicken wings, and even though the wings were small, they were very flavorful. Fries were just okay, but everything else was delicious! Service has been quick both times and they did a great job of packaging everything up when I did take out. Staff seem friendly . It's a decent space, and they have a large tv on. Cute decor overall. Per usual parking in the cwe is not my favorite, but I will def come back and try more!“

“This little gem ? was a wonderful place to stop in for you favorite Chinese take out. The establishment is very clean. The lobby and restrooms were sparkling. Service is friendly, efficient, and customer focused. The food was really fresh and tasty. We got the appetizer sampler, cashew shrimp, and pepper steak. There was way more food than 2 people could eat for lunch. We chose to dine in and their presentation was lovely! It felt much more elevated than a typical strip mall take out shop. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has a craving for plump rangoons and tasty fried rice.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot, side walks and store are ample, stable, and accessible by wheelchair or other mobility devices.“

“The food here was great. Rice was smoky and delicious and lo mein had bell peppers and a slightly sweet|sour sauce on the carrots. A different take that we really enjoyed. Staff was also very kind when we got stuck due to a tornado warning.“
“The best Fried Rice in STL. It's dark and flavorful. This time I went and tried the happybox. Yes it was heavy and too much And yes it was a flavor bomb! You can definitely share this one. I lived in STL for over 30 years and this is my fav fried rice for sure! My parens who are native St Louisans as well and grew up on the North side agree.“

“Ambiance = none I stopped in for plain white steamed rice to go. The smells are AMAZINGLY DELIGHTFUL so upon entering I was disappointed to see a large too With really no decor only tables and chairs. I did not go on a tour, nor peruse the online photos so I'm guessing that the back rooms are sexy intimate dining rooms. But that's for you to check out! Enjoy“

“Amazing taste, thought it probably is just a typical American Chinese restaurant but they serve more than just the ordinary stuff. Thai Curry and Hibachi on the menu as well.Their own recipe of the unique and very delicious WINGS. Also tried their popular Garlic Beef, large portion of tender juicy steak slices, yum! My son likes their Pot stickers and Yaki-udon noodles, definitely no disappointment with all our choices.Their friendly service is always a plus, and super clean environment too, would definitely come back!“

“Hunan Yu is a nice little Chinese restaurant. There's several Chinese places that are what I call McPandas: very similar looking Chinese places that are almost interchangeable. Hunan Yu is NOT one of those. While small, it's got it's own unique decor and a handful of tables and booths. The food is excellent, and the staff is warm and kind. They now have online ordering, if that's your thing; but I usually phone my order in...and rarely have to wait more than a few minutes once I arrive.“

“I have come here several times over the past several years. Today I noticed they were slammed. I took note of everyone working the front including the cook running in and out. “Best Chinese food in Saint Louis. Best St. Pauls, rice, Rangoons, and eggrolls. Call ahead of time, it won't take that long. When you driving by, don't blink or you'll miss it. Parking "lot" is super small, just get in when you can. And it's one of the last places that still give you a free drink when you spend over $10!! Only thing is the hot wings. They're dry, no sauce. Not my thing, but the wings were still cool.“

“THE BEST CHINESE FOOD in St. Louis is served here! The food takes about 10-15 minutes to make once they take your order which is 15-20 minutes faster than some others we’ve visited. That being said, their combo plates are awesome! I also recommend their spring rolls (light and fluffy) and their almond cookies are 3 for $1.00! Ands taste great! This restaurant is very reasonably priced in spite of inflation. There were three of us who ordered from there and the cost with combo plate, 1 set of 3 cookies, an order of spring rolls (and egg roll that comes with combo plate) was around $13-$14 with tax. If you skip the spring rolls, it would be around $11. Or $10 if only the combo plate. I personally think this restaurant is a diamond that other Chinese food foodies have yet to discover. But I personally will stay a loyal customer because the food is just devine! I ordered beef broccoli. If you like these two foods, I suggest trying it at this restaurant! There is a sauce that permeates the fish even past when the food it gone. Food stays minister and hit to the end! Not spicy at all. Also, their menu puts a hit pepper emoji next to any spicy foods on their menu so no awful surprises for your tongue and taste buds when your order is served. We did take out and even after driving home and unpacking groceries, this food was still hot (temp)! This restaurant is just so on point!“

“This is a great little take out place. The food we've gotten has been mostly good. The fried rice is not at other places, but it's not bad. The service could be friendlier, but they get their jobs done accurately, which is more important. Love trying new drinks in the cooler.“
