TC has a warm western / homey ambiance that provides coffee goers with a space to relax and enjoy other people’s presence.

“I came to the Cafeton Y Perreo event here yesterday and it was so much fun! Music was divine, everybody was having fun, and the service was lovely. Lovely coffee place, price great for the quality of the coffee you’re buying! They use 1883 as their syrups that is from France and all natural! They also use organic espresso beans that they roast in house. Important to know, they employee people with disabilities giving them a place to work and gain that experience for future employments! This has just became my favorite coffee shop!

Kid-friendliness: They have little games and coloring books for the kiddos to play with! My son enjoyed playing tic tac toe!“

“A pleasant library experience. First of all I adore the scenery outside, it's a beautiful peaceful sight. There's plenty of parking space and it's always quiet when we go. The staff are friendly and welcoming, there's a good selection of books and the staff have been helpful when we had questions. The rest rooms are clean and tidy. Also, plenty of computers free to use and 10 cents per page to print with a fairly easy system to print. The children's area has plenty of seating and activities for children. My only issue is that there are computers for children to play with which is often distracting for my daughter as she ends up being less interested in finding books and more interested in playing the fun games on the screens. Other than that, I like this library and there's a lot more here I'm still yet to explore.“

“Ran in for a quick cup of coffee, but ended-up sitting-down and relaxing for a while in this really sweet place. Friendly staff and customers. Simply a nice place to unwind for a while. Would be a cool place to study, meet friends, and maybe hear some softly played “live music.” This place is a sweet addition to Independence.“

“Best coffee I can find around here. More reasonable prices than the bigger chains, friendlier people, and most importantly, the iced drinks aren't 95% ice. Iced drinks have just a reasonable amount of ice so that you actually still get the amount of coffee you're paying for. I haven't found a single other coffee place that does that right, and for that alone Friendly Bean is the top of my list. Frozen drinks are tasty, the staff is great with helping if you don't know what to get, it genuinely makes my day better to come here because the staff is wonderful. The one downside is no indoor seating, but given there's not much room inside I'm just pleased they have indoor ordering, so you can be on a walk and pop in rather than needing to drive there. Always a good experience coming here.“

“I have tried 5 different coffee shops versions of shaken brown sugar cinnamon lattes and scooters has been by far my favorite tasting. Additionally,. My daughter loves their blueberry muffins so we love to have mommy daughter dates there. And thanks to some of the cool things they do we now have matching scooters crock charms on our shoes and a twirly scooters straw. Lastly, the employees there are so sweet and amazing at this location. Definitely some of the best customer service. 100/10 recommend this location.“
