“This place is amazing! The atmosphere is all blues and the history of blues. The food is that of a St. Louis Deli, with some New Orleans added for those who want to live a little extra! I had a Muffulatta it was a single serving and that was plenty enough! They also several it in half or whole sizes. That should feed a family. My friend had the Creole Deluxe PoBoy. That was also delicious! I highly recommend this deli!“

“My family and I are visiting St Louis and stopped in Cafe de Blaire for some ice cream. It was homemade and delicious. On top of that, the owner was sooo kind and warm to my kids. She gave me a sample of a coffee drink and it was delicious. I went back today for more coffee. The other worker was there and also very kind. I am a coffee snob and both drinks I tried were GOOD. We will be back tonight for ice cream. 😊“

“My husband and I come here all the time. It’s a 30 minute drive for us but it’s completely worth it. I had their seasonal gingerbread ice cream recently. It comes with a gingerbread cookie that’s made in house. Best gingerbread cookie I’ve ever had in my entire life.“

When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. “🤩🤩 This is my favorite coffee shop of all time. Everything about it is perfect. It’s adorable, the staff is amazingly friendly and treat me like an old friend. The menu is *chefs kiss*, it’s homey beyond belief and it’s the perfect place for everyone. Kids (a moment for the kids space upstairs?! “This place is a vibe. It’s a lot of fun to play old arcade games ranging from pinball all the way up to Mario kart. It’s always busy when you go. The bouncers usually pretty nice. The service is mid. The bartenders are not super friendly or nice, but the drinks are very sweet and reasonably priced. The pizza is a highlight, forsure, after you have been drinking, it’s nice to be able to just grab a slice. They say they also offer full pizzas, but when we went, it was too busy so they were only serving slices. They exchange you tokens for money to play the games. We ended up walking out with a lot of extra tokens. it has a nice outside patio that has fire top tables and TVs outside as well as a bar and outdoor seating available. There’s a basement that has another bar and a bunch of games as well. The branding is on point, they even have merch available which is very cute. Overall would recommend, you don’t even have to come drink here, it’s fun enough with games alone!“

“I’ve ignored this place over the decades, assuming it was a typical dive bar. A friend assured me the food was great and I should try it. Understatement! Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“

I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! “Our October wedding at 2nd Shift Brewing was unforgettable! We had about 100 guests and everyone who attended raved about the great drinks and friendly bar staff. We rented out the venue from 5-10pm on Saturday night and the 2nd Shift team was so helpful in the planning process leading up to the event and setting up/executing the event on wedding day. We were so glad we chose 2nd Shift for our wedding and have no regrets!“
