“Our party enjoyed our evening, with fresh fish and lots of side dishes to choose from. Although the food was tasty, we had to wait a long time to get each course. And a drink that was ordered by one of our party didn't come with the other drinks, and it was at least 20 minutes later before we were told that that drink was no longer available. The replacement drink took another 15 minutes. We didn't have this issue when we had dined there two other times in the past year.“

“Love gulf shores! Went tonight to the St. Peter’s location and had a yummy dinner. The host was a young man and did a great job and our waitress was lovely and on top of it! Two elderly women came in a the younger of the two was extremely rude and entitled to the host (the young man). Rudely demanding a different table each time he tried to seat them. I just wanted to point out how well he handled it and that he stayed professional and kept a smile on his face the whole time. He deserves kudos. I told her on the way out to tone down her entitlement and not to be so rude to staff and she spiraled. Not shocking. I’m not a fan of treating those in the service industry rudely. Again he handled it very well. Good job to him!“

“Best filet I’ve had at a restaurant in years—perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The au poivre sauce was rich and dreamy. Warm, crusty bread with their butter-olive oil combo started things off right. Shrimp scampi was spot-on. Fries with the steak were crisp and addictive, especially with the aioli and ketchup. Sat at the bar—service was good, just needed a touch more attention. Overall, killer meal. I’ll be back.

We arrived shortly after 430pm and we're taken immediately to a seat and we're given some seafood bread.
Our food came pretty fast.
We had the boudin balls, fried catfish, fried gator, and 3lbs of snow crab legs.

“My husband and I went here for our 31st anniversary dinner. The service was exceptional. The crab Rangoon was some of the best I've ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection and the ambience was perfect. 10 out of 10 will definitely go again. “We have always enjoyed our dining experience at Roberto’s. The food is great, service is great and the atmosphere is great. HOWEVER, they need to improve in two areas. Every time I have asked for a little horseradish. They don’t have any. So next time, I’ll bring my own. The other is the amount of sour crème provided with your huge potato is inadequate. I asked for a little more and they charged me an additional fifty cents! I can’t believe that I’m paying $240 for a meal and they want to ding me fifty cents for a dollop of sour crème. How petty.“

They were patient (we're a loud bunch!), checked on us without being a nuisance, and accommodated some late-comers with adding onto the end of one of the big tables. The food was fresh, delicious and brought out hot (not lukewarm)! Some of our party even ordered dessert! Xavier did a great job of bussing the table and grabbing extra drinks, etc. Considering how many people we had, I felt like it was a good deal price-wise as well.

“It is my daughter’s 16th birthday today and we made a reservation at their sister restaurant Bristol’s awhile back. It’s her favorite place to go because of the fried cauliflower. We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! My family said everyone is being so nice and definitely made my daughters night!! Thank you so much for all you did to make her 16th so special!! You guys are amazing!! I can’t thank you enough!!!“

“Service and food were excellent! Its not fancy, no tablecloths or candles when we had dinner there. The three course meal was a very good value. Portions are very generous with everything cooked just right. Vegetables were bright color and not overcooked or an afterthought. I really enjoyed the salmon and shrimp and took leftovers home. Our server Vincente took very good care of us. Parking is easy and the neighborhood is cute and well lit.“

“This China King is under New Management and when I tell you I went at the beginning of November 2024, ordered Chicken Egg foo yu and Fried gizzards .... DELICIOUS!!! The gravy on the Chicken egg foo yu is so good and their Fried gizzards are the best in St Louis, they practically melt in your mouth and the onions help make the flavor. And the food was fresh, hot and soooo good. This husband and wife team know how to cook, they are respectful and kind, and have not only my respect but will have my business from now on. Thank you!!!
