“It is my daughter’s 16th birthday today and we made a reservation at their sister restaurant Bristol’s awhile back. It’s her favorite place to go because of the fried cauliflower. We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! My family said everyone is being so nice and definitely made my daughters night!! Thank you so much for all you did to make her 16th so special!! You guys are amazing!! I can’t thank you enough!!!“

This had the charm and finesse that is often missed in the new LOUD places. This place was packed but still quiet and the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. Not cheap but well worth the money.“

I ordered sweet tea - I am always hesitant about this when I visit a restaurant for the first time because I am a complete tea snob but it was perfect amount of sweet and most importantly home brewed! We had the seafood broil meant for 2 people - called Big Bend boil I think. Absolutely out of this world delicious Cajun flavor. We picked the “very hot” option because we have a high tolerance and it definitely had a kick! We will probably go hotter next time but that probably wouldn’t be for everyone, we are heat freaks. Lastly our waiter was wonderful, right amount of tentative and friendly. Wish I got his name. We will be back!“

The staff at this restaurant went over and above for us, especially Michelle and one other server, I am sorry that I couldn’t see his name tag and I didn’t want to be rude. They were both super friendly and helpful and this place should be glad that they have such wonderful staff to help people out. “Stayed up late and made a reservation a month in advance for my hubby‘s birthday and it was well worth it. Wright’s has a romantic & moody vibe, perfect for a date night. We started off with the crab cake which was by far the most delectable bite we had. An absolute must have! For our entrees, we chose the potato-crusted halibut and 14oz New York strip. The halibut was delicate in flavor, but the lemon beurre blanc sauce packed richness. Unfortunately the NY strip was disappointing. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, however the steak & crust itself was dry & tough. We would recommend future guests just stick with the seafood entree options, as they were absolutely delicious. The onions rings were good as is, but the tavern aioli made them great. The service we received was impeccable. Overall, we still had a 5 star experience at Wright’s and will be back!“

They had a signature cocktail of the evening since it was Valentine's Day weekend. I got the special for the evening. 14oz bone in filet and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. The potatoes and asparagus were delicious also. My wife for the steak and fries. Nice ribeye and loads of fries. She also said that s very good. We got got a desert. “We went to Trattorias yesterday and the waitress and her staff helping her were just incredibly amazing! Leslie our waitress was phenomenal!! She told us about the specials and made them sound delicious and well worth our minimal wait - I would highly recommend you go here for all your special occasions!! Maybe it was just a bad not, but it was continuous throughout the evening, as well as waiting on our check for 15 minutes before having to ask for it.“

“I visited the Ferguson location today w a friend who will be moving away from STL shortly. We were both first time visitors. Cathy was cooking and the food was amazing. My friend had the Friday Special (catfish, shrimp, and wings) while I chose the Thursday special of wings and shrimp. Both dishes were perfectly executed, tasty, and not at all oily. 10/10. “This review is for the bakery ONLY. Everytime we go to St. Louis, we stop here (We live at the Lake of the Ozarks). The mini custard pies are amazing, try the fried, sesame seed balls which are filled with two different kinds of bean custard, both are delicious.
The yeast buns are stuffed with a variety of sweets and cheeses and are killer. On the right side of the shop as you enter, there are usually a few versions of the Dim Sum they serve next door in the restaurant and they are all DELICIOUS!

I've purchased the Duck & the deep fried pork hanging in the window, several times & it's been legit. We buy half a duck because there's only 3 of us, but plenty. I always order a small order of their rice so we can eat our duck at the hotel.
It can be VERY crowded on the weekends, so come as soon as they open. There's usually only the one lady working the register and dude chopping up the duck & pork, but they're fast. A++++ It's not cheap but it's soooo worth it.“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants. It has a wonderful Mongolian barbecue along with an incredible assortment of Asian foods. Their hot and sour soup is one of the best I’ve ever had. The sushi is very good and the service is always been polite and very attentive to clear plates. I have never been rushed as I enjoy talking endlessly to friends while eating here. The bathrooms are elegant and very clean however, I think the bathroom doors are very heavy. I believe that is why they are usually blocked open. They also have very quiet hand dryers. The lobby is also elegant , the doors are hard to open because there is a very strong air handling system that keeps fresh air circulated I enjoy bringing friends here For a relaxing meal and conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to eat.“

“The food here is absolutely incredible. The green chile pork is amazing. Meat it's fall apart tender and the flavor is full and robust. We also had the steak milenesa. It had a great crust and fork tender with great flavor. NOTHING was bad. Service matches the flavor. Food came fast, and the waitress made our dinner a great experience.
