“All of the Panda Express restaurants are exactly the same. I know this because I provided contract services to virtually all of them in the St. Louis area. They are clean and highly organized, even behind the counter and in the back.of the stores. Drive-though options. Good seating inside. Food is incredible! Some of the best and freshest American oriental food choices I have ever seen. I usually get either the Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, or The Honey Walnut Shrimp. My only complaint is a small one. Rice is counted as one of the side options and in my opinion it should not not be. There fried rice is very good, however.“

“We hadn't been to this restaurant in a while because the last time wasn't good at all. The place seemed unkept and old. The food was not good. What a turnaround! The menu was new and the food came out hot, and was everything tasted wonderful. Will be going back more often again.“

“NO vegetables in Shrimp St. Paul sandwich. Sweet & Sour Shrimp was 1 container of plain white rice, NO vegetables anywhere, the "shrimp" (2/3 plain fried breading & 1/3 shrimp) was NOT cooked in sweet & sour sauce, and packed separately. Quality is now abominable.“

“Authentic yet accessible Chinese cuisine expertly prepared from fresh ingredients. Cate Zone is not like any other Chinese restaurant we've been to in St. Louis. Everything we've tried has been delicious. Try the Black Pepper Beef, the Pineapple Chicken and the Crispy Fish!“

“First time visiting and absolutely agree with the 5-star rating average!
We ordered a bunch of stuff (see pics) and loved almost all.
First to hit the table were the pumpkin sambosas. I've had a good number of sambosas and samosas in my time. These were among the best. Also interesting was the dusting of powdered sugar on what was otherwise a savory dish. It worked very well. This was my best bite of the night.
Next up: spring rolls. I was a fan but the others weren't.
Somewhere in there we decided to order a pot of their house special tea. It was really flavorful and the aroma turned heads at other tables. The price seemed a bit steep (no pun intended) but it was definitely worth the price. Strongly recommend trying the special tea.
I think the lamb kabobs were next. Minimum order of three and there were three of us so it made sense. At least until the wife declared she didn't want hers. I split them with the kid and we both really enjoyed the meat and the onions dusted with that red spice blend (not sumac) with a name I can't remember. Lamb was seasoned nicely and tender. Important to note is the portion is in line with the price. If you want to eat lamb for your meal, you'll want to order a bunch of the little skewers.
Laghman beef in brown sauce was next. Really tasty and full of great stuff. Hand-stretched noodles topped with a beef & mushroom mixture, matchstick carrots & cucumbers. Great flavor even for someone who picks mushrooms out of dishes, so not noticeable.
Final dish to hit the table was their beef yoghurt wrap. Bread resembled a pita and was filled with slices of beef, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and their yogurt sauce. Beef was tender and beautifully seasoned and the vegetables were fresh. Beef was really interesting! I kid you not, my first impression was Big Mac. That said, a significantly upgraded Big Mac!
Dessert was a pecan chocolate baklava. It was tasty and appeared to be house-made. One recommendation would be to let it sit for a while to temper. I suspect a fair amount of flavor was suppressed by serving it refrigerator cold.
Overall a really spectacular dinner. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.“

“First of all, this is the closest thing to home food.
I don't understand why people gave bad reviews, they are so nice, my food always comes out less than 10 mins.
First best is the Mongolian Beef, and you'll have to try the dumpling, and Lo Mein when you're feeling it.“

“All Chinese restaurants in St. Louis are what I call fake Chinese food. However, I like to judge them by how they make their Singapore Mei fun which is what I always order. Well this one is delicious! Mei fun means rice noodles and Singapore Mei fun has all the meats including shrimp chicken beef and Chinese bbq pork in a slightly spicy yellow curry sauce. I give 5 star also for friendliness!“

“Called and went in to order within 20 mins of them closing. Not only were they super friendly. The food was great, all prepared fresh and did not wait for very long at all. I will be ordering from this place for all my future orders. Thank you all very much... It even all is given to you to carry out in sturdy reusable shopping bags!!!“

“The sautéed broccoli is perfection. Tastes just the same as it did when I ate it in China. 🤤 My kids love the sesame chicken and chicken lo mein. It’s our go to everytime for delivery. The owner is also a very sweet woman.“

“The weather has changed my plans today. I went in search of a coffee house and a sandwich but was lured away by this really nice looking China Wok restaurant.
I’ve beat the lunch rush (or just missed it more likely) and the place has only a few couples inside. But the Wok is clean and cool and the waiter seems in a good mood ;)
I ordered the combo mix veggies and rice with a side clip of sour soup. The soup was great! The veggies mix plate was hot and surprisingly very fresh. I don’t get easily impressed by veggies as most restaurants (more in St. Louis and Han out here in Pacific) throw frozen substitutions in. No - this was extremely pleasantly o chew - nice and crisp - but temp hot!
I give this place 5 of 5 stars for the chill atmosphere, very attentive waiter, and the impressive food. Keep up the good work China Wok. I’ll bring the kids next time I’m in the area.“

“Oh my gosh this is my favorite pho spot it is very inexpensive especially for how much food you get. They definitely don’t scam you on the meat and broth is so so so good I feel like just get big hug when I eat this also I feel like the broth gets better every time.I personally recommend the steak pho but if you getting to go or just particular about texture of the meat get the flang on the side so when you plate it you then put the meat it so It’s not over cooked. 10/10 recommend“

“My first stop when I come in town from Florida. The food is the best Chinese food in the country. Not exaggerating. The chicken broccoli with garlic sauce is my favorite. The hot and sour soup is also the best I have ever had. The shrimp dishes are also delicious. The food is always very fresh tasting and cooked perfectly -- crisp vegetables & tender meat. The owner is so nice. I highly recommend Hunan Empress if you want a great meal with large portions and very reasonable prices. Simply put -- THE BEST!“

“Perfect for takeout. Customer service was kind and concise, perfect for a quick and easy order. The food is the best Chinese I've ever had. Delicious Orange Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein. They gave fortune cookies with the meal, and we got some almond cookies as well that were great. Would recommend and will go again!“

“For what it is it’s pretty great. It’s a local family owned restaurant. They are always very nice. The prices are great, and the crab Rangoon are killer. I wouldn’t expect the best plate you have had, that’s tough in Stl. We have a great Chinese food scene here, but this place is a solid go to if you are in the area.

“I don’t know why people say the new owners don’t speak English. They do. Also they’re very polite. 5 stars all day. Just ate an egg roll. Absolutely delicious. Now I feel like a jerk because I started talking to them like they don’t speak English. They do!“

“I don't know what some of the people reviewing expected, but as far as this area goes, this is the best chinese food I have been able to find. Crab rangoon and lo mein are top tier. Szechuan Beef and General Tso's are really good as well. Skewers and spring rolls were meh but other than that I really like the quality of food.“

“Came in during a busy lunch rush and placed an in-person to go order.
Got the Orange Chicken combo and a half order of beef lo mein-- $15 altogether for a lot of food
Orange chicken is well cooked and flavorful, with a very orange-forward sauce that goes well with the rice too. Also was surprised to find extra chicken under my rice for a pretty generous lunch portion at a great value-4stars
Egg Fried rice is fine, nothing special but also got the combination rice not a standalone full order. Could probably use a bit of onion to hold more flavor- 3.5 stars
Crab rangoons are very good, sweet and pretty cream cheesey. Well fried with a tasty wonton too - 4.5 stars
Beef lo mein is fine, a bit greasy without enough flavor to be really worth it, and the beef is a little too chewy- 3 stars
They were really busy for the lunch rush, so I can give them a little slack for that but still not ideal to wait 20 minutes for a to go order (on food that's already prepared) all of the staff were very nice though, seemingly family-run- - 4 stars for service
All in all a pretty solid strip-mall stop for local (americanized) Chinese food. The staff were certainly overloaded with online delivery or pickup orders, I saw about 10 of those get worked on while waiting for mine to get filled. Will likely try again, but will order ahead online.“

“After trying several other places in the area, we finally decided to give this place a try as it's super close...SO GLAD WE DID. It is absolutely our new go-to place. My 14yo even requested it for a birthday dinner with friends...we ordered 9 combination dinners with additional stuff and the whole order was perfect. Everyone loved it and there are plenty of leftovers. We love that they have the combination dinners...entree, rice/noodle choice and either crab Rangoon or egg roll for a great price.“

“idk how this place has less than 4 stars. my old 5 star review is gone, so maybe others are too, so I'm making a fresh one.
this is the best Chinese food in the universe. every chicken dish they make is so crispy but somehow also dripping with flavor. fried rice is perfect. crab Rangoon are perfect. whenever I visit STL I come here.“

“It was a takeout order. We ordered the shrimp broccoli and shrimp lo mein, and both dishes were fantastic! The portions were very generous, and each bowl had a good amount of shrimp. The shrimp and broccoli sauce was especially delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Overall, a great experience with tasty food and great value. We’ll definitely be ordering again!“

“Tony's K Food is my favorite restaurant ever. I'm so happy I found them. They're literally a hole in a wall inside of a grocery store that is equally as amazing. I have not tried a single menu item that I don't love. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Any time I can recommend this place, I always do!“

“I just had a great experience at this location. The food is always good, it's always fast. But this particular experience went above and beyond. You can tell the store was busy, but the manager was very kind and great about communicating with his other team members. I can see. He was working on scheduling, appropriate break times and making sure that everybody was covered. The team was happy, and he was also happy. Great job Zay. Somebody give this guy a raise“

“Wok Express has become my local go to. I usually go with the (Springfield) Fried Cashew Chicken and gravy or Sesame Chicken with fried rice. The crab Rangoon are old school where they are more savory than sweet. I do wish they had a St. Paul Sandwich. Give this place a try.“

“The food here is delicious and it comes out quickly. They have great vegan options too.
The service was the best! Gina was so patient and helpful while I asked a lot of questions and tried to order with two chaotic children running around. My 3 year old dropped his fortune cookie on the floor and she already had two more in her hand for him before I could even ask. :)“
