“We have been trying to get in for months, maybe even years. Yesterday my friend got a notice (from being on the waitlist) there was a table and she was able to get one. And we were thrilled. We got there early, and since we have never been the 4 only bar seats actually aren’t for a bar. So we were turned away to just have a drink. But this was completely on us, and it fully say bar is first come first serve and they we’re very nice about it. We just didn’t know how strict that was. So we went next door for a drink and came back promptly for our reservation.Well let me say this place is worth the wait. Easily one of the best restaurant in St Louis. Our server Mike was amazing. He gave great drink recs and sold every dish with his descriptions. Everything was more than perfect. The food, the staff, the ambience. It all makes perfect sense why this place is jammed. I only hope we can get on the list sooner than later, but we will be trying. 10 out of 10!! Keep it up Wright’s Tavern!!Parking: Easy to find free street parking after 5, but could see how busier days may be more limited.“

“This is a GREAT neighborhood restaurant! Great ambiance in the front room! Very good wine list; we thoroughly enjoyed the Manzone Gramolere Barolo. The food was excellent, and the portions quite large on the Chicken Marsala. One of the specials was Divers Scallops on a bed of risotto, and the scallops were perfectly done. Service after the entree could have been more attentive.“

“Not all Steakhouses are created equal. Hamilton's provides an intimate setting for a quality dining experience. If you're the type to want to pair your meal with a unique whisky, scotch or bourbon - you have come to the right place. The bar's selection and knowledge will surpass your expectations. You will have the opportunity to sip on some spirits that are hard to find anywhere. It's wise to grab a reservation or enjoy a spot at their cozy bar.“

“Slightly rough and bohemian on the outside, which just adds to the overall great ambiance, this place is heaven, if you are into great southern or seafood, music, great value and service! We just left and I would come back for dinner, if I could :) thank you Luke for taking care of us!“

“Our server Josh (yes, coincidence) nailed it. Attentive but not overbearing. The cocktails were a hit too, and I'd recommend the Apple Bottom Jeans and the Violet Mojito. My wife and I stuck to small plates as we weren't in the mood for large plates. The lobster roll was out of this world, and while it looks small, they manage to pack so much delectable lobster into it. The pork belly was also incredible though it was light on the amount of pork belly in it. The spam fried rice was really good. The chili flakes elevate the entire plate, but if you don't like spicy food, I might suggest you get something else. Finally, the cheddar biscuits...they weren't very good. They were a bit tough, not fluffy, and were portioned in a way that made them awkward to eat (too tall). I would not recommend the biscuits. But overall, great experience, 4.5/5.“

“We had the best waiter, Corey. He was so personable and helpful with recommendations on food to order. Cory had to be bartender and server but he handled it perfectly! Our appetizers were wonderful and our dinners were very good! We would definitely go again and hope to have Corey as our waiter!!“

“We went there at around 7:50pm. We didn't have any reservations and the wait time was 45 mins. When we finally got our table the wait time for food was minimal. We started with freshly baked soft bread while waiting. The food was delicious. Capellini alla Zia was my favorite followed by Cannelloni. The server was very nice and attentive. The ambience was nice but too loud, lol ?I suggest book a reservation if you want to avoid long waiting time.“

“Such a fun place with beautifully crafted cocktails and food. We started with the ahi tuna appetizer and it was delicious but a little small I had the mussels as my entree and they were the best I've had in a very long time. the butternut squash salad was perfect and light. The drinks were served in a fun manner. You have to get “Who goes there”!!“

“Can be a little loud when they are busy. Food is good and you get lots, won't leave hungry.Parking: Depending on how busy they are, sometimes parking is not great. Restaurant shares parking with a convenience type store/sandwich shop, and I believe a laundromat around the corner.“

“Absolutely “11 on a 10 point scale” — outstanding food, ambience and service. The guidance of server Leya with respect to cut and preparation of steaks was spot-on, the particular table and additional touches selected for our anniversary dinner were just perfect , and the level of attention of the entire team, from table set up to the manager, made us feel special and appreciated. Cannot recommend highly enough!“

“This was a night out with my brothers and friends. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks were okay. The bloody mary was simple, not much zing to the taste. It was kind of bland. Our server was polite and friendly. We were treated to vocals from retired football tight end Jackie Smith. He sounded great that night. A nice place for dinner or just cocktails after donner.“

“My partner and I enjoyed the to-die-for veal lasagna and scrumptious braised beef ravioli with octopus to start. I cannot recommend the food more highly, and the cocktails are competitively tasting! With art and low light, the environment inside was lovely to enjoy dinner and drinks in. Don't pass this one up!“

“We had such a great meal here. It's directly across from the ferris wheel. They told us we could park in the Drury hotel garage, but we opted to street park. We had reservations and were taken immediately to a table. THE FOOD WAS TO DIE FOR! We got: fried artichoke hearts, rigatoni seafood, fetuccini Alfredo with chicken and tortellini. Our waiter was also very kind and knowledgeable of the menu.Parking: We parked in paid parking across from the door, ver convenient.“

“A place that has been in business for 95 years, in the same building, deserved a visit. When I heard this, I had to take that short drive to Madison, Illinois, to see what this "fish sandwich" craze was all about. I walked in and felt as if I had falling into a time capsule. I mean that in a good way. You had locals at the bar, talking just shooting the breeze. There was a constant flow of foot traffic. The server was patient and very friendly as she balanced cooking, taking orders, and interacting with customers. Not missing a single beat. I was very impressed! So she handed me the brown paper bag. I couldn't wait to get to the car! This sandwich was huge! A beautiful golden crust! Light, not overpowered with seasoning. The homemade tarter sauce. Banana peppers and onions. In between two slices of soft Italian cream bread. Simply delicious is all I can say. This place was worth every mile driven. Great job!“

“Really nice place inside. Don't know what the bar looked like because we didn't go in. I have heard people say that it's pricey and of course it is because this isn't your average Mexican restaurant. The menu is small plate oriented and the menu ismore like a tasting menu. The food is higher end than all the other places and outstanding. I can't comment on their drink menu because I seldom drink when going out. I will say that the pricing seem to be a bit higher than most places which will account for a higher per person ticket if one has two or three drinks. Still, our total was $70 ore tip for 2 people including 2 beers. The wait time between "courses" is a bit long but not enough for me to really complain about. The staff were friendly dmv knowledgeable about the menu. It may not me a place we'll go to monthly but we will definitely be back!“

“Meals are nourishing, deeeelicious, well made at the highest level. The veggie combo came with a refreshing and savory beet salad. My family loves Ethiopian food and this is simply some of the tastiest, clean, and freshest you'll have on the planet. My kids loved the fresh fries and njera bread. The hot wings were on point too! We went two days in a row and plan to come as often as possible. The menu has everything you can imagine, even pizza, both veggie, pepperoni, and lamb, if you like. Fresh carrot juice is available, as well as Ethiopia's legendary coffee, and spiced teas... We are grateful!“

“While in town I had to visit. We only had time for a quick take out of fried green tomatoes and fries. The food was great! Service was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing! While we were there the gentleman that was singing on stage played a Beatles song and the place wasn't busy as it was late but wow it was alive! That song in that bar - I wished I had more time to stay!“

“Let me just preface this by saying I moved here from South Texas and have spent more than my fair share of time in Old Mexico. In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. I’ll be a permanent fixture there for sure.“

“Listen......I ordered from Marie's SS for the first time today. Wowwwwww. My food was so good, I called the store and talked to Jessica(a sweetheart) while I was eating. That RARELY happens. I should've known the way someone from the store wrote my name on the delivery bag that I was in for a treat. I took a picture of that too. Lol. I ordered the wings&fries, barbecue polish, tacos, and banana pudding. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY SMASHING. I'm trying to keep this review short, but it ain't working. I took pictures with the bare chicken bones and all because I wanted you---YES YOU----THE ONE READING THIS to understand that I was not playing with this food. It was that good!! I could also taste that it was prepared with care and by someone who took/take pride in the product that they put out.In closing, I know I've got a new spot to grub at! I'm more than impressed and pleased with Marie's Snack Shop. Go ahead and order. Tell Jessica and the crew, "BennyDaBruiser" from the South sent cha! Enjoy!!!!!“

“This restaurant has such a nice ambiance and peace about it. I loved the atmosphere and the waitresses and waiters were phenomenal. However, for me the food was presented well, but a bit bland for my liking thus the 3 stars. Overall a nice place to try.Parking: There is plenty of free parking on the lot. It also sits on a joining lot with a hotel. Also a nice amount of handicap parking in front of the entrance.“

“Ready to spice up your weekend with some delicious Vietnamese cuisine? Look no further than this hidden gem of a restaurant! Only open on weekends, this spot is worth the wait for its traditional pho, rice platters, and hotpots. Trust me, I've been there a few times and tried everything from the food to the boba drinks, and it's all delicious. Just be prepared to wait a bit - getting your order can take over 20 minutes. Good things come to those who wait, right? So, if you're feeling adventurous and want to tantalize your taste buds, I recommend checking out this spot.“

“They were willing to make my pasta, including the sauce, without any salt. A+. Not every restaurant will do that since many pre-make the pasta sauce at the start of the day. They've converted me into a frequent flier at their restaurant.“

“Would have never even known this place existed, but we got a "seize the deal". Started with the chicken wing special. We are both very picky, and these wings were cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. We got the cod dish to split. We could have split the half. Such garlicky goodness. We live in Portsmout and will go again. The picture I posted is half.“

“I had been looking for another good black, owned fish, restaurant, other than mothers. Even though I like mothers fish, there aren’t many around…. When I found the Fishhouse, I realize I had found a home.. it’s a family owned business, and their fish is fresh and fried well. They even have good sides, and I don’t usually eat everyone’s side dishes.“

“We went elbows deep on a loaded platter and walked out with fully moisturized hands and arms from the butter bath. Everything was perfectly seasoned, cooked just right and tasted delicious. The shrimp and grits are the best I have has this side of the Mississippi! It really hits all the cozy, comfort dish points. The creamy grits, flavorful gravy and plump juicy shrimp will make you a repeat customer.“

“Excellent meal for our wedding anniversary. We had a server in training team, and the trainee did a fantastic job. Both were really focused on us having a good experience. The food was stellar! Really, really good and well executed. We though the kumquat in the Crab salad was overwhelming but everything else (mussels, branzino, lobster risotto) were perfect!“

“I have been to this place a few times and it's been consistently good. They have a great ambiance and service. We tried the 4 pork gnocchi and the spicy shrimp diablo. Both the dishes were very good. We tried a few of their cocktails - a few different Mezcal cocktails and it was good. They have happy hour every day from 3-6 PM. For dessert, we had the beignets. It lived up to the expectations!“

“I went on an evening that just happened to be snowy one, so the crowd was slim. They were not open yet, but they let me come in and order because it was cold out! The crowd did however pickup before I left, which was about after an hour of my arrival. Sue the bartender was very nice, and made some scrumptious cocktails. The music was cool, and kept the upbeat vibe going. Upon departing, I ordered the pork chop and fries to go from the connecting doorway. The food was delish, and my overall experience was on point.“

The cake was moist and perfect the next time me and my partner are back in St.Louis we will be stopping by!!“

“I took my daughter who's 2 on her first bus ride. It must've been God's Plan. Our scheduled day had changed just as our little adventure had begun. At first, we were just going to go home. Instead, we detoured inside to the KING CHOP SUEY on West Florissant. We had such a wonderful and memorable time! The lady took our order and was so very patient. She made our day so much better. (I wish I had learned her name.) My daughter and I sat in and ate. Well, I sat, the baby sat every once in a while. (terrible 2's ?) No one complained, made faces, or gave any attitude. The food was SO GOOD, even the Crab Rangoon! It was hot, fresh and made just as asked. She called out my order as a number but I didn't have one. (it's on the receipt btw). I told her she hadn't given me a number. She didn't argue that she did or give me any flack. She just asked what I ordered. I found it later in my pocket later with my change. (Sorry Ma'am ?) I also asked for something so my daughter could eat on her own. She gave me a cute little baby sized box. It was perfect. The place was very clean, AND I felt safe, which is really something to say in St. Louis City. So, as we're walking through the door later that night, when we FINALLY got home, the first thing my daughter said was RICE!! So we ate the leftovers. That was probably the clearest thing I've heard this girl say besides No, Mama, and Juice. Thank You Guys So Much!!! If ever I get another chance, I'll be back. I definitely recommend this location to others. A much better than their competitors. (Place Unspoken)Kid-friendliness: My daughter and I sat in and ate. “I stopped in here during Lent. I went to the location on Manchester. It is a modest sized store, and most people are getting take out rather than eating in. I got the friend catfish and shrimp with a side of mac & cheese. There was a steady stream of customers over lunch. I waited maybe ten minutes total for my food which was reasonable given the crowd. Both the catfish and the shimp was great. The breading was right in the sweet spot of not being too thick or two thin. I grew up eating catfish and it is just one of those things you love or not. The way it was prepare here was just fantastic. The mac & cheese was okay, but next time I'll probably just get the fries. I look forward to trying out the chicken wings some other time as they were the main order I saw other customers getting.“

“I ate here tonight and had the Chile Colorado with beef tips in verde sauce. The beef was tender and the sauce was nice and hot, very good. The portions were standard and the rice and beans were good too. The atmosphere is more quiet than other competitors which was nice.
