“Husband and I first time eating here for lunch. We were served super yummy garlic butter bread right away. I ordered sweet tea - I am always hesitant about this when I visit a restaurant for the first time because I am a complete tea snob but it was perfect amount of sweet and most importantly home brewed! We had the seafood broil meant for 2 people - called Big Bend boil I think. Absolutely out of this world delicious Cajun flavor. We picked the “very hot” option because we have a high tolerance and it definitely had a kick! We will probably go hotter next time but that probably wouldn’t be for everyone, we are heat freaks. Lastly our waiter was wonderful, right amount of tentative and friendly. Wish I got his name. We will be back!“

“Great food and friendly staff. We tried the meatball sandwich on cheese bread and the Italian beef. Both were excellent. A generous portion of juicy meat and cheese on fresh bread. The potato salad and pasta salad were very flavorful. Looking forward to our next visit.“

“We wanted Italian food and we decided to go on the hill to Zia‘s. We ordered pasta dishes, which was extremely nice portion size. The bread was delicious when you dip it in olive oil. I also had the French martini which was delicious. I think if you have a taste for Italian food pasta, you couldn’t find a better place.“

“I've lived in St. Louis for a little over 20 years and I've heard about the Capital Grill but never visited before. I decided for my birthday this year, we'd try it. I even offered to split the cost with my wife since I had heard it was expensive. Well, it was expensive, but sometimes you absolutely get what you pay for - I was blown away. We started with a giant piece of bacon as an appetizer (Nueske's Cherrywood Smoked Bacon with Korean BBQ). It was about 1/2 in thick cut into bite sized chunks and it was delicious! We moved on to soup, my wife had the french onion soup with was covered with a thick layer of cheese, I had the lobster bisque, and my daughter had the butternut squash bisque - all three were good. The lobster in my bisque was tender and flavorful. I had the 14oz KC strip, my daughter had the 10oz filet, and my wife had the roasted chicken breast. My daughter's filet was easily 12oz and it was cooked perfectly, my KC strip was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, and my wife's chicken was huge (and delicious since I ate her leftovers the next day for lunch). We ordered creamed spinach and parmesan truffle fries for the table. The sides were good but not as good as the other items. Next time (and we will be back) we will probably go with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. We split the cream brulee and the flourless chocolate espresso cake for desert and because it was my birthday they brought me a sample of the cheesecake and coconut cream pie on a plate with Happy Birthday written out in icing. I'll definitely get the cream brulee again, it was perfect and my wife and daughter loved the cake. Sometimes you just gotta splurge and when you get that urge - try the Capital Grill, you won't regret it. (And by the way, my wife ended up picking up the check - so maybe it was that expensive.)“

Filets both cooked perfectly. Espresso martini hit the spot. The old fashioned had so much flavor. Will be back again. “I got lucky and nabbed a last minute reservation for my birthday. This is truly my favorite restaurant! The food as always was exceptional. The only thing that was lacking was our waitress seemed a little put off being there. She was timely and attentive, but really not very friendly. This has not been the case on any other visit to your restaurant.“

“We have always enjoyed our dining experience at Roberto’s. The food is great, service is great and the atmosphere is great. HOWEVER, they need to improve in two areas. Every time I have asked for a little horseradish. They don’t have any. So next time, I’ll bring my own. The other is the amount of sour crème provided with your huge potato is inadequate. I asked for a little more and they charged me an additional fifty cents! I can’t believe that I’m paying $240 for a meal and they want to ding me fifty cents for a dollop of sour crème. How petty.“

We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! “This is where I always meet my grandson for lunch. We love the walleye platter. The breading is very light, and the portion is generous, allowing you to eat every bit of it. The sides are delicious, too. We love the atmosphere, service, prices, and portions. \nI've taken several friends there for lunch, and they are happy to meet me there again anytime. My grandson is an accomplished fisherman, and that makes our experience all the more enjoyable. We love the fish offerings, but the menu is extensive. We highly recommend and enjoy Yellowstone Cafe.“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants. It has a wonderful Mongolian barbecue along with an incredible assortment of Asian foods. Their hot and sour soup is one of the best I’ve ever had. The sushi is very good and the service is always been polite and very attentive to clear plates. I have never been rushed as I enjoy talking endlessly to friends while eating here. The bathrooms are elegant and very clean however, I think the bathroom doors are very heavy. I believe that is why they are usually blocked open. They also have very quiet hand dryers. The lobby is also elegant , the doors are hard to open because there is a very strong air handling system that keeps fresh air circulated I enjoy bringing friends here For a relaxing meal and conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to eat.“
