“Uncle Bill's serves tasty food in generous portions with excellent service! But my FAVORITE thing about them is how they prioritized our littlest members during our visit! Our group was dining with 2 toddlers under age 2. When we placed our orders, the toddlers' food came out a full 10 minutes before the rest of our food. I've NEVER in my 51 years of life witnessed this! It was FABULOUS! The moms were able to begin feeding their babies and THEN enjoy their own hot food once it arrived with content, happy children. I 10/10 recommend coming to Uncle Bill's for your next family outing!

As an aside, I did notice plenty of happy customers without kids likewise enjoying their yummy food! Last time I was here, I'd come by myself after dropping a family member off to get an early morning procedure done. Again, the food, service, & atmosphere were all top-notch! I 10/10 recommend Uncle Bill's whether you're dining alone, with adult friends, or with whole families!

“First time and not the last time we dine here, God willing! 🙏🏼♥️🏁 Very busy place, but fantastic service, food, and experience! Josh answered the phone and was so helpful, friendly and welcoming! When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. Looking forward to sharing this spot with some more loved ones 🙏🏼♥️🏁“

“My parents frequent this restaurant. This was my first time. Our server was genuinely sweet and kind and the food was phenomenal. I needed high protein so I opted for the meatballs appetizer as my meal. It was a hearty portion and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed my leftovers for a couple of days. “We had another wonderful Mother’s Day brunch at Veritas. Thank you to the whole crew! You made my family and I feel very special. We loved the scrumptious food. It’s not a buffet. It’s much more special. You are actually served. We stared with wonderful appetizers of deviled eggs, shrimp and devils on horse back. The next course was yummy southern style grits. I don’t want to forget to mention the amazing bread basket with an assortment delicate croissants, homemade bread, whipped butter and locally sourced jams. I ordered the delicious eggs Benedict, my husband enjoyed the quiche, our son loved the brioche French toast with baked fruit and my mom had the eggs Norwegian with smoked salmon. She thought it was tasty. We all enjoyed to utmost. If that doesn’t sound like enough. They had a beautiful array of desserts. I’m not sure if the lemon poppyseed muffins or the to die for chocolate brownie was my favorite. We love that Stephaine shared the story of her family secret recipe about the brownies. As much as we enjoyed the brunch, I have to admit Veritas dinners are one of my very favorite in all of St. Louis. This little hidden gem is a true treat always.“

“It is my daughter’s 16th birthday today and we made a reservation at their sister restaurant Bristol’s awhile back. It’s her favorite place to go because of the fried cauliflower. We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! My family said everyone is being so nice and definitely made my daughters night!! Thank you so much for all you did to make her 16th so special!! You guys are amazing!! I can’t thank you enough!!!“

“Sundays special is the fried chicken which is delicious when you can get it, the last fiveoutings for Sunday chicken I was only able to get it once, it seems to be a popular dish I would think they would have more on hand“

“This is the ONLY place in STL that actually feels like LA on the inside. The atmosphere is fantastic and brightens your mood. A great place to work remotely if you have the midday blues.

As for the food, the sides are absolutely delicious and full of flavor, however they go cold almost as soon as you receive it. So eating slow and enjoying your meal becomes quite a hassle. The steak is yummy but the cook on it is not consistent. The pinker pieces definitely have more flavor, unfortunately much of the steak I have received over the past couple orders have been over cooked and a bit dry. The miso crunch salad is very similar to the Health Nut Chicken Asian Salad (The famous Kardashian Salad) except for two distinct differences. The “crunch” is non-existent as there are not any won tons or rice strips. The salad could really use some sort of makeshift crouton to achieve this instead of relying on cabbage. The dressing is also more on the bitter side and doesn’t have the bright flare you’d come to expect from an Asian salad, making it fall short. A little sweetness and citrus added to the dressing would fix this. As for the drinks, same problem with sweetness. The lemonade is too sour and without the sweetness in their mango sencha green tea, it’s no different than making a mostly tasteless tea for yourself at home. Would love to see Flower Child tweak their recipes just a bit to add sweetness and brightness and this establishment would be 5/5 stars.“

“While I'll still recommend it...I did go to the Twin Oaks location tonight and they had taken the adult grilled cheese with tomato soup off the menu. 😢😢😢 I just had it there a few weeks ago. They had also taken the zucchini appetizer off the menu. Everything I went there to order is not completely off the menu. And there isn't a suitable substitute. I hope you'll consider bringing those back.“

“A wildwood staple! Homey, classic breakfast spot. Smells like pancakes and coffee when you walk in. Simple in all the right ways. Just like breakfast should be. And they have grits! The girls here are sweet and will take good care of you. Great food, fair prices. On the weekends it’s lively and full, but never a long wait.“

“This hotel really exceeded expectations. The amenities were phenomenal. We brought our pickleball gear and had a blast. Fantastic staff, location, rooms, breakfast buffet (not included, but amazing if you end up dining there). Only very small let down were hours of the gym/pool on weekends. Ended up running outside and felt safe with the Chesterfield police next door. Thank you for the great accommodations!“

Please give Sheri some good juju and hang on the best employee you have! First and last impressions are very important in the business. She made the night of my friends birthday party!
