“This is a CLASSIC breakfast establishment! If you're familiar with classic breakfast places from the 80s where the portions are huge and prices are still reasonable, this is one of them! Nothing flashy. Fast, reasonably priced, classic dishes. This is what Gen X would consider breakfast comfort food! Pancakes, sausage, bacon, omelets, coffee, etc. And all the little variations on those themes. It is all fast and easy. This is not gourmet food! Go hungry and leave heavy! 😁“

“First time and not the last time we dine here, God willing! 🙏🏼♥️🏁 Very busy place, but fantastic service, food, and experience! Josh answered the phone and was so helpful, friendly and welcoming! When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. “I walked into a classy interior and sat at the bar. I was welcomed there by the owner and he made me feel like a king. I had some fine tequila and ordered the duck. Both were fantastic. “I wanted coffee and maybe a bite to eat, but knowing I have food issues I knew I might be out of luck at a place the serves what I can't eat. Well, Sophia was kind enough to consider the menu carefully and after consulting the kitchen came up with the home fries (deep fried, not cooked where eggs and pancakes are) and a quite delicious fruit cup (full of VERY fresh fruit)!

“This is the ONLY place in STL that actually feels like LA on the inside. The atmosphere is fantastic and brightens your mood. A great place to work remotely if you have the midday blues.

As for the food, the sides are absolutely delicious and full of flavor, however they go cold almost as soon as you receive it. So eating slow and enjoying your meal becomes quite a hassle. The steak is yummy but the cook on it is not consistent. The pinker pieces definitely have more flavor, unfortunately much of the steak I have received over the past couple orders have been over cooked and a bit dry. The miso crunch salad is very similar to the Health Nut Chicken Asian Salad (The famous Kardashian Salad) except for two distinct differences. The “crunch” is non-existent as there are not any won tons or rice strips. The salad could really use some sort of makeshift crouton to achieve this instead of relying on cabbage. The dressing is also more on the bitter side and doesn’t have the bright flare you’d come to expect from an Asian salad, making it fall short. A little sweetness and citrus added to the dressing would fix this. As for the drinks, same problem with sweetness. The lemonade is too sour and without the sweetness in their mango sencha green tea, it’s no different than making a mostly tasteless tea for yourself at home. Would love to see Flower Child tweak their recipes just a bit to add sweetness and brightness and this establishment would be 5/5 stars.“

“While I'll still recommend it...I did go to the Twin Oaks location tonight and they had taken the adult grilled cheese with tomato soup off the menu. 😢😢😢 I just had it there a few weeks ago. They had also taken the zucchini appetizer off the menu. Everything I went there to order is not completely off the menu. And there isn't a suitable substitute. I hope you'll consider bringing those back.“

We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. My son got sick so I had to stay home but they called me and said they made her the fried cauliflower that she loves at Bristol’s tonight at j Gilbert’s!! “Visited St. Louis and stayed at the Hilton. We had breakfast at The Provinces restaurant and breakfast was delicious ordered the create your own omelette mushroom, green onion and Swiss $15 -- very good. Derek was our server and he was excellent. Ambience was nice and welcoming.“

“I had three bad experiences at global quesadilla on 141 and Clayton The first time I went in there they told me they don't accept cash. the second time I went in I got a quesadilla, some chips, and queso. the queso tasted awful. it tasted like warmed up canned cheese or something. I'd buy at the gas station but not the hot stuff in the dispenser that tasted better. And to be honest, there's nothing special about the quesadillas for the ingredients that go into it, the amount of time it takes to make and what they're charging for it. I find it ridiculous. if it's not going to taste good it should be cheap. at that point I'd rather make them at home. my third bad experience is a as a doordasher. after confirming the name of my customer, I proceeded to include my business card. global quesadilla doesn't own that food. that food was paid for by my customer. they have no right to tell me I can't put a business card with the food. the employee proceeds to yell at me multiple times to hand the food back to which I responded no twice and started walking out of the store. he proceeded to follow me out of the store continuing to yell at me and I had to tell him multiple times to back up/go inside / leave me alone. and if he touched me there's going to be a problem I shouldn't be in fear for my physical safety going into any establishment. they were also rude and unprofessional the first day I went in trying to pay with cash. how they've handled themselves multiple times is completely unacceptable. there's a reason why I only ate the food once. if I want Mexican food I'll make it myself or go to Taco Bell or a sit-down Mexican restaurant.“

“The room was nice a bit small but did have a king sized bed. The breakfast is not free and they don't keep out disposable utensils if you bring your own food. Also there is no where to fill your water but in the gym. Overall a good stay but wouldn't stay again with my own money.“

“The place was packed! Only saw one waitress working the whole place. Sheri was like a little tinkerbell, remembering my name and what I liked to drink. Food service was a bit slow but under the circumstances, I was pleased I got what I ordered and it was hot. The band was fun and encountered a welcoming atmosphere. Please give Sheri some good juju and hang on the best employee you have! First and last impressions are very important in the business. She made the night of my friends birthday party! What a trouper!“
